Don't be shellfish...Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterShare on Google+

Man!  I was loving that game!  Through three contests (the inaugural one in the comments then when adopted into the piece), I didn’t get a single win!  For shame… At least now with Kobe Bryant missing 6 weeks, we’ll be brimming with excitement to relaunch the game!  I never ended up with Kobe anywhere, so I’m downplaying the real fantasy impact here… Kobe owners are asking should I hold or should I let go?  I think he is probably a hold in almost all leagues if you can, but man, these top-end injuries are killin’ out there!  Plus we have to remember it’s a fractured knee and a re-sewn up Achilles.  And he wasn’t setting the world on fire anyway.  Kobe is turning into Jeter from last year!  Bryant is a medical marvel though, he can jump over cars going 40 MPH and come back after bone spurs a game later.  So he’s worth the stash unless it’s a very shallow 10-teamer or smaller, or you’re just a triage of injuries.  Here’s what else went down last night across fantasy hoops:

Kawhi Leonard – #FreeKawhi!  21/10/3/1/0 on 8-14 shooting with a three.  No one else on the Spurs got more than 5 boards!  Sure it only took injuries to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili to get Kawhi his minutes!  35:04 last night bringing his season average up to a… wait for it… whopping 28:35 a game.  What are you doin’ to us Popps!?

Marco Belinelli – Why you adhere to the life principle of ThrAGNOF!  Was a good streaming game here with the injuries, and if you need threes with a lot of Spurs out, Belinelli is a solid stream.  28/2/1 shooting 10-16 with 4-8 from downtown.

Patty Mills – If you believe his 20 points last night is a sign of anything useful, I’ll have you buy me a few pints at Patty’s pub and explain to me why.  Then maybe we’ll get into some crazy debates with the bar keeps.

Andrew Bogut – Beast mode!  Wait, would it be Tasmanian Devil mode?  I dunno… A sick rainbow for 8/18/2/2/3 shooting perfect 3-3 FG and 2-2 FT.  It’s so pretty I could cry!

David Lee – This time I know for sure it’s a beast mode.  Fact!  32/13 on 13-22 shooting.  How did the Warriors lose this one?!

Klay Thompson – That’s why!  I keed I keed, KT is fine, but just so overvalued!  I’ve beaten this drum harder than that last guy in Slipknot that is their like 8th percussionist.  Seriously, they have more people in that band than the Trans-Siberian Orchestra!  And with TSO retiring, Slipknot as your new Christmas orchestra?  I see possibilities!  Wow, how I got to that from Thompson I have no idea, but 6-18 last night, only 1-7 from deep for 13/2/2/2/1 with 5 TOs.  Near-rainbow, sure, but I bet you wish you listened to ThrAGNOF this year!

Steph Curry – He’s awesone.  We love him.  30/15.  Dimebag was tasty last night.  Mouth watering!  I’m hungry…

Kevin Durant – Makes basketball look easy.  Kinda like how Miley Cyrus makes looking like a child star turned drug addict and an effed up pop star look easy.  32/9/6/3/1 shooting 13-20.  Everywhere he goes, people just uncontrollably start MVP chants…

Steven Adams – I can see now why he gets players around him so mad taking swings at him!  He’s always stealing their shizz!  4 thefts last night for 4/7/0/4/2 in just over 27 minutes.  He looks really good out there.  I would try to finagle him from Slim, but that’s like trying to pull a christmas tree out of a chipper.

Reggie Jackson – Looked really friggin’ good.  18/5/2.  Did have 6 TOs though.  Hard to argue the 8-12 shooting and 2-2 3s though.  I’m going to end every sentence with though.  Though.

Russell Westbrook – Minor ankle tweak.  He looked fine though, didn’t miss any action, and handed out a dimebag for 20/10.  Nothing to worry about.

Jimmy Butler – Left the game on crutches.  That’s never a good thing… Suffered a high ankle sprain, I tweeted it out when it happened and it just did not look good at all.  Remember when I said I thought this toe injury could nag all season?  Well a bum toe can lead to more susceptibility to other leg injuries, I actually have a messed up toe I had surgery on and that leg always effs up.  But then again I don’t work out and I’m not an athlete (except with words!), but at least I eat a lot of green beans!  I think he’ll be out at least a game or two, we’ll see updates throughout the day.

Joakim Noah – His numbers in December look a lot like the numbers he put up last year without Derrick Rose.  The offense, sadly, has to run through him with all those injuries.  Another big game last night of 23/12/3/2/1 and I was pretty impressed.  He’s just so ugly.  And yells so much.

Tony Snell – Took 11 threes!  He musta been hot!  Womp womp… Only made 2… Labradoodles!  4-15 FG for a 10/8/1/1/1 game and in line for minutes again with Butler presumably out, Kirk Hinrich‘s iffy back and usually only playing the 1, and Luol Deng saying he’s targeting a Christmas return with a bad Achilles.  Worth a look in the deepest of leagues.

Marquis Teague – He could not look more useless out there…

D.J. Augustin – Which is why D.J. Augustin looks like an All-Star.  It’s the ol’ “ugly friend trick”.  36 minutes for 15/5 ball hitting 3 treys.  He’s not going to be anything that special, but a 14-team target right now I buy.

Raymond Felton – Said he’s hoping to be back Monday.  Which would be ahead of schedule.  As his REL owner, I jump for joy.  As a 16-team or shallower league player, you jump away like he’s hot lava.

Kendall Marshall – From here on out, we’re only talking UNC PGs.  Got signed by the Lakers who don’t have any PGs.  I don’t think much is gonna happen, but he’s on my radar.

Quentin Thomas – QQQQQQQQQQQ!!!!! Fine, only Chapel Hill fans get who this is.  I had to Google him for fun.  Apparently he’s a rapper now?  Search GQ in iTunes and it’s him!  Haha, had no idea…  Dude the second song “Around the World” he drops a Brandon Knight in the song in the preview!  Haha this just made my night!

Xavier Henry – Wheels!!!! Gonna start at PG for the Lakers?!  Wiggity what what what?!? The Lakers and Bulls might have the most banged up teams in history.  Phil Jackson musta left some bad germs around.

Ersan Ilyasova – Getting shut down.  Yeah, he’s been awful.  More time for everyone!  Including Giannis Antetokounmpo!  The Alphabet is gonna have some time starting in the soup.  Heard.

Next Game:  I’ve got HOU at IND tonight.  Go Paul George!  Elite!  And update on my schedule through the Holidays, we’ll have my post up Monday (23rd) and Friday (27th) next week, and then taking over daily again starting Thursday the 2nd of January.  From there it’s fantasy goodness every weekday in 2014!  I hope everyone has a great weekend and see you Monday!

Who’s a better bet for all around production: Brandon Knight or Reggie Jackson? I know Knight brings the minutes (and it’s not like the Bucks have much else going on), but he also brings the shots, o.m.g. so many shots! Jackson brings the efficiency, but is forever our sixth man. Who do you like more going forward?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Joe: agree with all of that, I definitely want Knight though for the upside. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve turned down more trades for Steven Adams than anyone else in the REL. He is not a throw in… I’m not sure what his actual value really is in that league at an $11 keeper price. I just know whatever it is I value him more.

Reggie Jackson could be the starting PG for close to half the teams in the league right now.
I had to look up his per-36s. 17.8/5.6/5.0/1.3 and 1.1 3’s with very nice percents.

    • dorfor says:
      (link)

@Slim: Out of curiosity why do you rate Adams so high? I get that he looks fantastic out there as a rookie but he just doesn’t get to play that much. I held him for a couple weeks and dropped him when I just couldn’t stomach another 4/4 night, which he has more often than not.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@dorfor: You have to remember it’s a dynasty league with no inflation, so Adams at $11 now is Adams at $11 4 years from now. In a 20-team league with little talent out there, a young center with that kind of upside is an immense value, as I as well see him starting very soon for the corpse of Kendrick Perkins haha

        • dorfor says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: Ah, gotcha makes perfect sense. I had forgotten the dynasty aspect. So essentially (for 16+team non dynasty leagues) you think we can sit on him until he starts for Perkins? Or do you think grabbing him is the most prudent move?

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@dorfor: Yeah probably, or if a Collison injury or consistent usage. I don’t think he’s too big a grab right now.

  3. jakob says:

I’m sick of Tony Parker. Though I picked him late (#45) and I thought it would be a steal, he just doesnt produce. Sure, some points are there.. but everything else went down. Popp also runs his rotations and give his stars even more resting time! Damn it! I just elaborated a trade with the team being dead last in our league, look below (I just copy&pasty, sorry for that guys!)

Receive Eric Bledsoe, Pho PG from JEDI to Bench
Receive DeMarcus Cousins, Sac C from JEDI to Bench
Receive Marc Gasol*, Mem C from JEDI to Bench
Receive Kawhi Leonard, SA SF from JEDI to Bench
Receive Victor Oladipo, Orl SG from JEDI to Bench
    ____

Send James Harden, Hou SG from SG to JEDI
Send David West, Ind PF from PF to JEDI
Send Nikola Pekovic, Min C from C to JEDI
Send Gerald Henderson, Cha SG from G to JEDI
Send Tony Parker, SA PG from Bench to JEDI
Send Jordan Crawford, Bos SG from Bench to JEDI

I give up the best player in Harden, I guess.. but damn, those ankles. Houston will earn its spot and I see Harden getting more and more rest as long as the season goes on. Downgrade to M.Gasol isnt that bad, I think. Im getting some multicat guys in Oladibo and Leonard and some extra production by my Centers in AST and STL. What do you think JB, good trade or not?

Btw, in case you forgot: H2H, 12 League, 8 cat.
    My roster atm:
Rubio, Parker, Augustin, Vasquez, Jordan Crawford
    Harden, Henderson, (Crawford, Dudley)
    Dudley, Parsons
    Terrence Jones, West
    LL (aka Jonas), Pek
+ Sanders sitting on my IR.

Currently, Im leading the pack by a single victory, but Im pretty sure I make the playoffs in my division. Well, any thoughts concerning that big trade are welcome!

    Greetz,
    JB outta Germany!

    • jakob says:
      (link)

      @jakob:

Well.. looking at my trade offer, I just tuned it down a bit. Changed West with Jones, so basically..

Im giving up: Harden, Jones, Pek, Henderson, Parker, Jordan Crawford
      and
Im receiving: M Gasol, DMC, Bledsoe, RainbOladipo and Kawhi!

      • TR says:
        (link)

@jakob: I don’t know much about category leagues, but I think that’s a great deal for you simply based on player value. You send a few borderline waiver guys with some solid ones or a group of studs

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@jakob: Agree with @TR: With that many players in the deal, you’re fine giving up 1 best one, for like 5 guys improving your other 5. I like it, even with Jones or without

  4. Michael B says:
    (link)

“Useless” is too kind for Teague. Admittedly, last night was the first Chicago game I’ve watched this season, but based on that, if WAR was a basketball stat, Teague would be in the negatives. One of his turnovers was so bad, I can’t even describe it.

Adams is still out there in my deep league, but there’s too many 9 and 15 minute nights for me to make a move there.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Michael B: Haha you’re probably right. Like I said above on Adams, he’s a huge dynasty league target more so than shallower redrafts

  5. matt says:
    (link)

Im hating this season… I bet I win the kobe challenge tonight. I have him at 0/0/0/0/0/ and I dropped him in all leagues without an IR slot like a cold schmato! I don’t need another broken player on my bench. Pretty much getting thrashed this week. I was winning all 3 of my h2h leagues by 2 gms/ 23 gms/19 gms/ Now its looking like ill lose 2-8/ 1-9/ 0-8/ ugh..just a bad week. I need Gasol & MCW back!!! My inj. Are Butler, lawson, gasol, mcw, kobe, (dropped) Harden, Conley. Brutal! That’s just one team, I haven’t typed them all. Oh and I didn’t have Affalo so.I tried dropping and picking him back up…and *drumroll I Fking Lost Him! Now im stuck with Lance or Korver :( I should of just rode it out & re grouped next week. Ok..rant over!

In my 14 team h2h keeper league, this guy in my league is in need of a big man. I’m thinking dealing for curry and taj gibson for my teague big al and webster. I initially offered big and teague for curry and taj but he didn’t like losing out on 3s. Should I do this deal?

    pg damian lillard
    g Jeff teague
    sg james harden
    sf kevin durant
    f john henson
    pf Brendan Wright
    c al jefferson
    c demarcus cousins

    util Martel Webster
    bn ben mclemore
    bn Lou Williams
    bn Channing frye

    • Ryan says:

@Ryan: If he rejects, would lillard favors for curry and maybe pekovic still be a good deal for me?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Ryan: Agree with all of it, worth trying the Webster deal, if it doesn’t work I indeed like the Lillard deal.

      • Ryan says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: he rejected the lillard deal and countered with lillard favors for curry taj? Is this still good?

        • JB Gilpin

@Ryan: Yeah I’d prob still take it to get Curry

    • TobiasFunkeAnalRapist says:

with all the buzz earlier this week, with Asik rumored to be headed to my Celtics, I fired an offer out there, giving up Derrick Williams for him. Then I forget to keep tabs on the shituation yesterday, the owner accepts, and now he’s going nowhere and apparently has a knee thing (ie. he’s a b*tch). Tell me this isn’t too bad of a screw up going forward… please?!

    • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

Happy Late Birthday JB! Sorry I forgot to say something yesterday. Anyways, few trades on the table. The usual. One of my pals in my league said they’d Accept Westbrook, Cousins, and W Chandler for Korver, Harden, and Vucevic, so if he sticks to his word that’s the one i’ll probably do. But if it doesnt work out, I’ve got some other trades I could look at. What do you think

Lillard and Favors for my Westbrook and Iggy

    Olidipo for Iggy

Joe Johnson and Beal for Tyreke and Westbrook

Joe Johnson or Ariza or Marc Gasol for Burke

Iffy on all 3 except the last one. That’s why I wanted your input. Out of those 3 on the last one, I love Joe, he’s been scoring a lot lately, Ariza has been good all year. Gasol would be nice too. I’m really PG heavy though, so I don’t need him. I’ve already got Wall, Williams, Westbrook, Rubio too. I’m scare at the SG/SF position with only. Chandler, Evans, and Iggy.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jake VZ: Thanks for the bday wishes! Agree love that first one. I kinda like Lillard one too. Like Oladipo one, naw on #3, Gasol for Burke is an interesting upside but risky.

  18. Nathan says:

  21. JB –

Good tequila from me to you virtually. Happy belated, big guy.

Not sure what bothers me more – the fact I dumped both Wes Johnson and Jodie Meeks 2 weeks ago upon Kobe’s triumphant return, or that we can’t play the amazing “Guess Kobe’s stat line at PG” game likely for the balance of the year? I’ll come up with another more interesting “guess stat line”, but that was the most fun cause it was him, he was playing totally out of position and he’s a love/hate player if I have ever seen one. Maybe we can play guess how much nose candy Lamar Kardashian is gonna smoke before his next NBA game and rap off?

    http://www.tmz.com/videos/0_0y2tdj1t/

BTW, I can 100% see the Laker front office kicking the “GAYSOL, get the fudge outta town” trade train into high gear. Maybe that’s just my way of saying I really like, Jordan Hill, again. Shedding Pau’s 7′ soft pansy, afraid of contact, ass seems to make a whole lot of sense suddenly, without making the Laker faithful feel like they are tanking the season in light of the Kobe debacle. Which, candidly, is really what they are doing. Why should he come back and play this year for nothing? Just to prove he is Kobe? Nah… He needs to rest and rehab should he want to make another title run in 2014-15. This squad ain’t doing that. They are better off cleaning house, clearing cap space, firing ‘Antoni in the off-season and buying a contending squad. The end.

My long winded way of saying – Lakers are doing nada (maybe .500 ball at home) with this roster balance of the year. It’s male ass ugly. Can you please rank them and state why you chose #1? It’s a league with categories as FTM/FGM/3s/PTS/OREB/DREB/AST/STL/BLK/TO/DD… My friends and I always argue whose team is best, so I want to settle it haha

@Jake Van Zuiden: Prob like team 3 most, like George CP3 LA combo, would lose Gerald green though haha.

@Jake Van Zuiden: I thought I would just post this here. I had it between team 2 and team 4 with team 2 being the team that looks most like the kind of team I like to play. Just a bunch of PGs and Cs. Team 1 doesn’t have the quality of bigs as the rest but quantity over quality is a sound strategy. Team 3 doesn’t have as good of depth but a few adds or trades and that all changes. Team 4 is coming up short with the injuries but should compete with team 2 in the long run.

Not a surprise me and JB disagree and we could both see it completely differently tomorrow. The friendly debate shouldn’t be ended by us anyway. A roster is a forever evolving thing. Make a trade and this entire debate changes again.

And the two trades you asked about I’d keep what you have in both.

Wutup JB… I’m in a 10 team CAT. Do you think I should hold Onto OJ Mayo??

@Frank White: Nah, bench role now, time to move on

  24. Shaft says:

After another less than stellar outing for Terrence Jones (at least so far tonight), time to move on? He’s got 5 games next week, but I’m seriously considering starting Henson with 3 games over him . Maybe give him one more shot tomorrow before making any moves?

Separately, your boy knight with a monster line tonight. Think he’s finally got it figured out? Now if only he could make more than 6/20 from the field…

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shaft: Yeah that one is close… Yea let’s see one more, Houston seemed out of it from the tip (game I had tonight). Long live Knight! See, it’s funny you say that, but did you notice the zero TOs in 35 minutes?! Zero! From Knight! Means he only had one bad cat. Yeah I love it, this was better than the 36 pointer.

      • Shaft says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: so I gave TJ one more chance and he didn’t deliver. So frustrating. Do I have your blessing to drop him? The bro lo news also ruined my day. Sometimes I really hate fantasy basketball. My team has been murdered by injuries. What doyou think the play is here: blatche, KG (old), sully (no steals or blocks), McBob (assists but no scoring), hill (dantoni), brandan Wright (timeshare), freye (thrAGNOF?), Gibson (doesn’t start) or plumlee (can’t shoot FTs)?

My squad now after all the injuries is:
        G: Conley / kemba / knight / Lin
        F: durant / Aldridge / w. Chandler / korver / Tobias Harris / t. Jones
        C: ibaka / Henson

It’s an annoyingly shallow 10 team. 8 cat. H2h league. Also I just proposed chandler for JV. In a vacuum any chance that’s accepted?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Shaft: Yup time to cut, sorry to say… Sucks on BroLo man… tough injuries this year. I like Sullinger right now, like his game. Yeah I like both, if JV owner needs 3s might get taken

  25. Jake Van Zuiden says:

Accidentally posted this in your old thread… Should I trade my Westbrook and Ibaka for Lee and Irving? I know you’re high on Ibaka, but I feel as if Lee would have more value in my league’s format with the 2 Reb cats and a DD. Also should I trade Rubio and Ibaka for Dwight? I’m ok at PG position with Wall, Westbrook, Williams, and Burke. Also might be able to pull off Iggy for Gasol

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Jake Van Zuiden: Got ya on the old one :) I like Gasol move best

      • Jake Van Zuiden says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: for the first time this year I didn’t listen to you. I had to go with my gut feeling. Kyrie has always been one of my favorite players and saw him as a bit of a buy low. Don’t you think he could be just as good as Westbrook. And I’m good with blocks so I though it made sense for a better rebounder and scorer. Now I already have the offer Bledsoe and Kobe for Kyrie haha

        • Jake Van Zuiden says:
          (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: also what do you think of the Rubio and Gortat I just offered for Lawson and Chandler?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: Sure, I like Kyrie too and agree Westbrook and he are somewhat comparable, but I like Ibaka and his blocks more then Lee. Swung that one for me, but it’s not a bad trade. Since you’re fine on blocks, all good. Still a Rubio fan, it’s another one close to even, narrowly still like Rubio side but 50/50

  26. Nikko says:

In a league without FT%, and %FG, what do you think of George and Lee for Drummond and Anthony

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

      @Nikko: I’d take George side

  27. Thoughts on Alan Anderson? Considering a deep 14 team league grab. Having watched his game last year with TOR, was pretty unimpressed. Admittedly, haven’t watched enough Nets hoop this year to get a pulse or a difference in opinion. Hence, looking for some intel…. Any Brooklyn faithful out there care to comment? Is he still your 8-10 point guy with 1-2 3pm and just a marginal NBA talent or is there some new found upside in the former Spartan?

    No Joe Johnson tonight, but Anderson went for 5 3pm / 26 pts (9-17 FG)/ 5 boards / 2 assts / 1 steal / 1 block in 46 minutes. That’s interesting. He’s been averaging 33 minutes in his last 10 games, mostly as a starter. Also interesting.

Any additional color would be appreciated. Thx

@EL BURRO: Get more into it below, but AA for a few extra shots? Maybe with no Lopez. I liked AA early last year. Limited upside, but interesting 14 team add

  28. Jake VZ says:
    (link)

Wow. What a blow to my center position. Brook Lopez out for the year with a broken foot. That came out of nowhere. You have to think adding Blatche makes the most sense right?

    • @Jake VZ:

Just saw the news as well. BLATCHE is for sure the ADD. I would also maybe stash MIZRA TELETOVIC, who is more of a 6’9-6’10” stretch 4 type, depending if the NETS modify the line-up entirely cause this is a huge loss. Another very distinct possibility is that they now go after someone like ASIK cause that won’t be able to get out of the East without a legit Big or another scorer. Don’t think EVANS will cut it, although he can help defensively and on the boards, but is a liability offensively. Those would be the 3 guys that will pick up slack.

All of that is pure speculation until they announce something and we see who they roll out there, but that is what I think and who I would stash (probably in that order: BLATCHE, TELETOVIC and EVANS).

      Hope that helps.

        @EL BURRO: thanks!

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Jake VZ: Agree with @EL BURRO: Blatche is a must add. not a huge Teletovic fan, he’s a big ThrAGNOF! Hmmmm Asik makes sense! HOU won’t get much youth though haha.

        • matt says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: I think Houston is going after Deng. That’s a piece they could add to make them contenders in the west.

Sup JB, 12 teams h2h 8 cat. What do u think of Lou Williams ROS? Finally seems to be near full strength. Is he must own player going forward?

    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lmnop: Nah, not quite must own for me, very inconsistent returns. Worth the speculative grab though. Like his game a lot, but seems his spot in rotations/shots wavers a lot

  30. Clyde Prompto says:
    (link)

Bummer about Brook Lopez, as he’s one of the only likable players in the entire New York Metropolitan area this year. Bill Simmons just floated the possibility of Brooklyn going after Javale McGee. The thought of Javale and KG on the same team is HILARIOUS and it needs to happen.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Clyde Prompto: Agree, why I ranked him so low, I think in the ranks I said I was worried about the foot. Haha, that would be awesome!

      • Clyde Prompto says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I was just playing around with the ESPN Trade Machine thing and man, the Nets have NOTHING that any other team would really want. Their best bet might be to just have KG and Blatche man the 5 and use Teletovic as a stretch 4.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

@Clyde Prompto: Yup I agree, Nets are stuck with what they got and it’s injury prone old guys haha

Ok, I dropped Jordan Hill for Koufas, then dropped Koufas for Leuer, then dropped Leuer for Hill, now I’m back to Leuer.
Anyway…what do you think of Trevor Booker? Over Leuer? Stick with Leuer? Add Blatche now that Lopez is done?
    HELP!
I’m searching for boards/blocks/FG% while I’m waiting for Tobias Harris to be consistent.

    thanks

      (link)

@The Fantasy Dick: Haha, the Dick carousel! Depends on needs, Leuer more all around with a trey a game, Booker for boards and blocks. Def add Blatche, like Blatche over both. He’d be the guy of the 3 to fit your needs

      • Brent

        The Fantasy Dick says:

@JB Gilpin: Think Blatche will get some blocks? He seems like he should avg at least 1 per game, but he never really does

JB man, my trade got veto. Shit sucks. Veto happy league. Who would you rather have right now? Danny Green, Xavier Henry, Jodie Meeks, or stash Farmar? Brooks and Middleton is also out there. Should I also drop Giannis to pick up one of these other players as well?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@teeque: Copy and paste this in your league “You guys are uncontrollably annoying to play with since you veto anything since you’re scared”

Maybe Henry right now with the opportunity. I like Middleton too. Would grab Middleton for Giannis

    Need some help JB.

Some of my players are struggling . Do you think I should drop terence jones for jordan for a better upside? I don’t know what to do with kenneth faried also, he’s been on and off which is driving me insane and now he’s hit with an ankle injury. I am in a 9 cat roto . How do you think my team will fair as the season goes?

    Lineup as follow
Ty lawson / Mike Conley / Trey burke
Evan Tuner / Gordon Hayward / Joe Johnson / Derozan
    tobias Harris / Kenneth Faried
Zach Randolph / Al Jefferson / derrick favors / Andrew Bogut

@Michael Pan: Jordan Hill I’m guessing? Yeah don’t mind that move. Ehhh your team lacks some front line talent, guess some injuries hurt ya :/ I wouldn’t mind picking someone up for Faried for upside

    Couple topics today…

    1) How do you view Evans ROS if he can stay healthy? A nice line of 21/6/6/0/2 tonight at is taking all of AFA’s minutes. Ankle looked good and didn’t seem to be affecting him.

    2) Want to try to project Blatche’s stats in his probable starting role for the ROS? My guess: 16/8/2/1/1 in about 33 mpg. I know he cant fill the entire hole at center, but if you think about it, he could put up some pretty similar numbers to Brook’s (Obviously less points and blocks though). I’m bummed about Lopez’s injury but excited to see what Blatche can do

    3) Multiple people are saying how Williams owners should sell high due to his history of injuries ( Rotoworld, Basketball Monster, BR ). Do you agree with this? I made the trade Thompson for D Will about a week ago and it has seemed fantastic for me thus far. His ankle injury looks like a thing of the past, and he finally looks like the explosive D Will we’ve all come to know and love ( knock on wood )

    4) Trades for today-
Gortat and Burke for IT2 (would pick up Pierce if he doesn’t get claimed off waivers)
Iggy and Evans for Gasol (close to getting it done)
Dwight and Lawson for Cousins, Rubio, and Evans

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jake VZ: 1) Yeah I like Evans when he’s on the court. 2) I buy numbers close to that. Blatche a sure-fire add. 3) Wow, you go D Will for Thompson!? Trade rape! Great move. 4) Would def like IT2, Yeah don’t mins that one, don’t like the third one as much

Sup Brotha… I think I’m gonna cut ties with OJ Mayo and there’s a couple guys I wanted to through out to see if they’re good replacements. Since I got Bledsoe and let go of Hayward I know I’m losing some boards so I was kinda looking for a sg-sf or a sf so I saw Caron Butler or Matt Barnes (LAC). These other guys are PG’s but look good too. DJ Augustin or Aaron Brooks, since Beverley is gone and Lin being sidelined. Anyway do any of these guys jump at you that are better then Mayo?? I like Caron Butler but don’t know anything about him. Thanks bud!!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

Any faith in tyreke evans after this triple double and 21 point game? I traded nick young for him just because I’m good on points and lead in fg% I like tyrekes upside but am obviously concerned about the ankles… I still think Eric Gordon gets hurt sooner than later

    • JB Gilpin
