So the season’s wrapping up, fantasy-wise, most of you should be in your last week of playoffs, or near it. I do trust you’ve had fun so far, I know I have. I wanted to leave with a Chris Rock-esque drop of the microphone, but I’m struggling to convey that through print. In addition, it really only works if you have built up to a high point, a crescendo, if you will, and I have been moving in the opposite direction really. Perhaps meekly putting the mike back to where I found it is more appropriate.

In actuality, I only got the opportunity to write for you, dear sports fan, due to a metaphoric injury, much like a prize fighter who gets subbed in for by a scrub at the last minute, because the headliner broke his hand. But the show must go on…

I will endeavor to continue to provide you, good reader, with the best advice your money can buy. And seeing as this is a free service, mitigate your expectations accordingly:

Buy:

Moe Harlkess SF
Moe. Moe. Moe. He’s has been a terrific late season fantasy pick-up. Averaging 15.6 points, 7.5 boards, and a scorching 2.3 steals per game over the last 6, Moe Money has proven that in basketball, even on the terrible teams, somebody has to produce. And he’s available in 40% of fantasy leagues. Moe. Say it, it’s infectious. Like cholera.

Wesley Johnson SF
Averaging 15.5 over the last 3 games, got 21 points, hitting 5 3Pts last game, and is a legit deep ball option in a pinch. He’s been playing major minutes lately, and the Suns got nothing better to field, may as well let the kids play pick-up.

Brandon Bass PF
I know He’s in the Add category, but I really wanna… Ready for it? Drop the BASS!! Screeee ..…wub, wub, wub, bumbity-bumbity waaaaahh. Ok, he’s not actually a great PF, not a beast on the boards, but he will get play with Big Ticket out for a while. 13.5 points, 7 boards over the last 5 games. You could do worse, right?

Damien Wilkins SG
Like JB told you kids: “Never go in against a Sicilian, when death is on the line!” And his slightly less popular wisdom: Damien Wilkins continues to be overlooked. He’s averaged 18 points, 3 boards, just under 3 dimes , along with 2 steals in his last 4 games, with Nick Young out. Most importantly, owned in about 7% of leagues. Snatch him up if you have a slumping shooter. Ahem, not that I’ve ever had that problem. Move along!

Sell:

Arron Afflalo SG
Affalo is a gentle soul. He likes playing soft jazz on the weird Kenny G straight saxophone, and that’s ok in my books, but he’s out for the season, it has been determined. If you’re not keeping him in a, you know “keeper league”, dump him. Maybe he can finally concentrate on his music, and the joy it brings.

Metta World Peace SF
Nothing gives me more pleasure than reporting that Metta “Elbows” Artest is out for 6 weeks. The man is 2 parts vinegar, 1 part rose water: pure douche. Maybe now he can focus on his music again, and lay down some rhymes on Afflo’s sultry sounds. Brandon can drop the bass…

Kevin Garnett PF
The walking wounded keeps coming. KG’s out for 2 weeks with an ankle injury. He won’t be back in time to be fantasy relevant.

Tyler Hansbrough PF
Tyler was a pick-up I recommended earlier, and while he can be a bit of an instigator, I have admired his boyish good looks and his consistant numbers while David West has been injured. But D. West is due back Thursday, so it will affect Tyler’s fantasy production in short order. You have been advised.

Thanks for reading my little blog droppings, I hope you have found them informative and entertaining. Here’s my Danny Tanner wrap up: I think we all learned something during this exercise, and that is that, primarily, it sounds like Tehol will stick his junk into just about anything. And I know very little about basketball.

Good luck in the finals!

Hi, I need a few suggestions on my team.

My team: Deron Williams, Wesley Matthews, Ricky Rubio, Jameer Nelson, Marion, Kawhi Leonard, Tobias Harris, Joakim Noah, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol, Andrei Kirilenko, and McGee

Was considering to pick up: Wes Johnson, Evan Turner, Drummond, Chalmers, Koufos, Beal

Which adjustments would you make? Thanks

@Michael: I like most on your squad, But if you wanted to make a move, I would consider dropping Shawn Marion, Pau Gasol, and possibly Wes Matthews. Wes Johnson is a nice pick up, Pau and Marion have been very quiet since both of their returns from injury.
Also look to see if either Reggie Evans, Spencer Hawes, or Amir Johnson, in that order for Pau.

      Good luck!

Sup man! I’m about to bug out.. First I wake up and Chambers didn’t play. Ty lawson might be worse and Jameer Nelson sprained his ankle.. I have no idea if Jameer iscoming back?If Lawson is worth dropping and I replaced chalmbers with Jack but I messed up cause he’s not playing tomorrow.. I NEED at least one extra guy for tomorrow so i could just drop jack real quick but i don’t know who yet.. I’m still up 7-4 but he has all his guys going tonight, as do I minus the injuries.. Idk what to do? I need to add more players for tomorrow probly

      @Frank Lynch:
check if Jerret is available for Chalmers.

Actually I don’t have to worry about lawson right away cause he doesn’t play till Wed and When I told u i dropped chalmbers for jack? Well it was a mistake cause I thought he played tomorrow so I picked up Martell Webster so I have the extra guy for tomorrow… I just gotta hope nelson plays tonight cause if him n rose are out then I got 8 guys against his 10..

@Frank Lynch: @Frank Lynch: I stil feel Jarret is the best point available to you, you should still scoop him. I hope it works out. Damien Wilkins could work in a pinch, but he’s technically a shooting guard. He can score and get you a few assists as well, though.
I hope if goes well for you.

Well I picked up Jack and dropped him right away cause he’s useless to me cause he don’t play toimorrow.. Anybody I pick up today I can’t start till tomorrow. Plus he only plays 3 games next week if I win.. Do you think Martell Webster was a good pickup for chambers?? Martell plays tomorrow plus 4 games next week

@Frank Lynch: he was rusty from beyond the arch last game, but he’ll get solid fantasy production, not a bad pick up. I know you worry about getting in the most games, and that’s important, but still consider Jack, or someone else for next week if Rose doesn’t play this weekend. Don’t hold onto him for 1-2 games next week, he won’t likely be of any fantasy relevance.

The only thing that sucked about that mistake was that when I picked Jack up and dropped him real quick is that now I can’t make anymore moves this week.. I wasn’t anyway but I coulda dropped Rose if I needed to for an extra game but I was gonna probly keep him anyway ya know… Oh, Did you hear if that sprained ankle is bad or not for Nelson? I know it’s early yet but just let me know as soon as you hear something if you can please??? Thanks.. It would really help if he played tonight. Eery bit counts. LOL

@Frank Lynch: Jameer is listed as day-to-day. He won’t likely play tonight. He should be back next week, there was some talk he may have returned to the game last night, so it can’t be a really bad injury. Hopefully.

Hey man, I could really use your help on a decision i’m having trouble with making. I am set to win my first round playoff match and am going to be heading into the finals for the next two weeks. I am trying to maximize my amount of total games and output and my team currently consists of: Teague, Wade, Durant, Nowitzki, Sanders, Ellis, T. Harris, Harkless, Hayward, Mo Williams, Gasol, Bogut and Valanciunas..
I am thinking of picking up Drummond off waivers and my options to drop are probably Bogut or Valanciuna. Bogot only has 3 games this coming week and Drummond has 4 but I also really enjoy what Bogut has been providing recently.
What do you think is the smart move to help my last push to win this baby?
    Thanks!

      @Ian:
Valanciunas has 4 games and gives great shooting percentages. and Gasol only has 3 games.. I’m not sure what the game schedule is like for the following week

@Ian: I’m a BIG fan of JV. He had something like 15 points, 13 boards, dimes, and blocks last night. He is really turning it on in the last 7 games, he has like the 3rd best field goal % in the league, it said on the broadcast last night.
Bogut is also turning it on. What my gramma always said comes to mind: you have a positive problem. If you’re asking me, I’d say stick with Valenciunas, but like gramma always said: follow your heart. And don’t trust the man. She was big on that too.
