If you have been stashing (or if you’re Grey, staching) Marc Gasol on your roster, you were feeling some Good Vibrations last night!  Less because of the production, but more with the early arrival and fantasy goodness.  And that good-ol Gasol Wildside.  Now, I may be too young to remember Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, but I am old enough to [barely] remember when Gasol went down that I said he was a hold in all formats.  You may be saying “no duh!”, but he was dropped in several shallower leagues by those darned knee-jerkers.  But as we talked about in the comments earlier this week, I see Gasol getting eased in and a tad rusty the first few games, but then back to a beast.  3-7 for 12/4/1 and 6-8 at the stripe last night.  You’ll take that from a guy you’ve stashed!  The Thunder tried to rough him up and it didn’t work.  Only 24:12 on the court, but the one assist he had was vintage Gasol and should leave you feeling dandy from this point on.  And props to Prodders for breaking the news and hopefully you got him in your line-up.  Our comments save lives!  New Razzball bumper sticker.  Here’s what else I saw last night in Fantasy Hoops:

Kevin Durant – Played like a beast, but was definitely grabbing his wrist a few times late in the game.  Stay tuned as there should be some increased in-depth follow ups from fantasy’s best player.

James Johnson – Man, if only he was on a team not loaded up front!  Racks up rainbows in 20 minutes!  4/3/3/2/2 in 20:06.  I really like JJ, but more minutes from Gasol and a healthy Zach Randolph and Ed Davis has him still on the outskirts of 12-teamers for me.  But look at that athleticism!  If Z-Bo goes down I could see them giving him the starting 4 spot.  Would be a must-add in all leagues then.

Reggie Jackson – 17/6/3, three treys, but 7 TOs.  It’s like a bad Russell Westbrook game!  Man they need Westbrook back…

Steven Adams – Looked really, really good.  Lurch (full credit to Slim!) was lurching all around the paint for 5/9/0/1/0 in only 21 minutes.  But man, if he got 30 minutes next to Serge Ibaka next year, that would be one of the best front lines in hoops.

Courtney Lee – Needs to be owned in most 12-teamers right now.  Yup, bold.  And daring.  Like a Dorito!  9-15 FG (2-3 3PTM 4-4 FT) for 24/5/0/2/0.  While a tad of a ThrAGNOF, he was all over the court and I think given the 30+ minutes I think he’s going to get most games (37 last night) here on out, he’ll board and steal.  I don’t think this was much of a fluke.  I’m not baked… Like a Dorito!

Boogie – Near rainbow!  31/13/2/2/1.  This was the year to get him… Sadly, I did not…

Isaiah Thomas – Terrible 7/1/1/1/0 line in 28 minutes.  3-9 shooting and now single-digit scoring/bad shooting games in 2 of the last 3.  Buy low fa rizz.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – Maybe the most unceremonious return from injury you could ever imagine.  But got 31 minutes, did his multi-cat thing for 8/7/2/2/0 with no TOs.  Shot only 3-12, but I bet he’s out there in even 16-teamers.  Worth a look up to 14ers.

Al Jefferson – 35/8/2/1/1.  If only someone told you to buy low through the first few months of the season!  Numbers looking a lot like last year’s already – and that includes a lot of smaller minute games easing back from early injuries.

Tyson Chandler – Returned for 17 minutes of auiobroenfqijphperihgfpi2j3fp.

Kendall Marshall – Step right up – you’re next California!  Because Kendall is slingin’ dimebags like it’s legal!  10/2/16/1/0 with only 3 TOs and 2 treys.  A little cloudy in ROS value with Kobe Bryant still looking to come back by the Super Bowl, but obviously a hold right now.

Jodie Meeks – 26/3/4 with 6 threes.  Meeks-a-be-your-humble-servant!

Nick Young – Pshhhh.  I don’t like Nick Young.  28/1/6/0/0 in a nice game.  Sure.  Shot 7-16, hit four treys, but the 10-10 FT made it the big night.  I know he’s been scoring a lot lately, but is just so empty everywhere else.  The dimes a fluke.  ThrAGNOF!

Luol Deng – Best game as a Cav.  27/5/4/1/0 shooting 9-15 and perfect 5-5 from deep and 4-4 from the stripe.  Gotta love the 38 minutes if you’re a Deng owner, easing the worry of his Achilles.

Anderson Varejao – Makes you wonder why they brought in Andrew Bynum at all… Well, I guess Anderson’s health, but pshaw!  18/18/6.  Just 2 and 2 more for a Goromotaro!  Only 7 Goromotaros this year… Let’s get some more 20/20 games, NBA bigs!

Kyrie Irving – Another bad one… I keep holding out that he’s a buy low.  So I still am!  I should make an inspirational poster that says “PERSISTANCE” and it shows a screen grab of someone dropping Kyrie from their fantasy team…  Then I should get one that says “SPELL CZECH” – sometimes it misses things…

C.J. Miles – The decline we all saw Miles away when Deng got to town.  Was a fun ride while it lasted.  Fun like Ride Along.  At least that looks fun.  But I hope Ice Cube doesn’t try to sell me a Coors Light in the middle of it…

Next Game: I’ve got a thriller in CHI @ ORL then an actual good one in SAC @ MEM.  Will be cheering on D.J. Augustin to finally get his due in big minutes and then see who wins the race to 120 points in the late game.  Jam packed schedule in the NBA tonight, so be sure you have your best/full roster out there and good luck tonight!
