It’s Thanksgiving around the NBA, tomorrow, in case it slipped your mind. I’m told there would be stuffing, which represents the cure for scurvy given to the Pilgrims by the locals, on Plymouth Rock, or something to that effect.

Certainly, it is a joyous occasion, but it begs the question, why is there no Thanksgiving music? There are about 5000 Christmas songs being rammed down our throats right now, like we were fois gras geese, But nary a pilgrim/first nations crossover ditty! Anyone in the music industry, you’re welcome, the idea is my gift to you, run with it. What has become the primary celebratory routine is a plying of alcohol, followed by a gorging, followed by sporting event, followed by a retail sales the likes of which are only seen on this day all year! And we here at Razzball are no different.  We have deals you can’t afford to miss out on, everything must go, go, go! Take a gander at these beauts:

BUY:

Lou Williams PG, SG

It’s a crime that JB got to write about this cat first, as I’m the resident Raptors fan here! GM Masai Ugiri is the straight dope, under his soothing guidance, the Raptors plucked this plum (along with Bebe Lucas Noguiera) off the Atlanta Hawks for John Salmons. Wait, wut? John Salmons?? Thanksgiving Jebus, be still my heart, that is straight thievery, son! And speaking of thievery, Lou’s fingers are sticky, like a gypsy in that european flea market your girl dragged you to soak in the “culture”.  Lou is sixth man potential, he gives you multiple steals per game, as well as treys, in 21 minutes, and I think his minutes should rise to 25 +. All that said, he’s worth owning now in 12-14 leaguers, and is criminally under-owned at 25%. I give, and I give. Pass the yams.

Donald Sloan PG, SG

Streamah, nothing but a streeeemah…. any Supertramp fans out there? Anyone?? Ok, fine, just trust me, the bit fits, and it’s funny. And what’s also funny, but not “ha ha”, funny, more: “gotta laugh before we cry” funny, is the Pacer’s back court. Rodney Stuckey  is out with a wrist injury, and George Hill is still a few weeks away, which means Sloan will get all the minutes he can handle. A decent dime source, with the odd trey, and low turnovers thus far. He’s only 40% owned, as of the time I wrote this, so you may just get him for free.

Bradley Beal SG

Beal is producing, and you should know this. But as well as he’s doing thus far, I think he’s capable of much more. He’s coming off the bench for now, but Otto Porter just got injured, and clearly Beal is just being eased back into the line up. In three games (at the time of writing this article on Monday… Yeah Monday, it’s a holiday week, don’t judge me, I deserve time off as well!!) He has 16.7/3.3/4.7/1.3/0 with 1.6 3pts, over 50% FG %. Dope. I would gladly part with an Eric Bledsoe or a DeMar DeRozan for him. Do with that what you will.

Wilson Chandler SG, SF

I know JB will be on me like gravy on mashed potatoes, I’m not saying trade for him, but he’s only 60% owned, and  currently starting in Denver. In his last 5 games, he has gone 14.2/8.8/1.8/1.2/.8 with 3.2 treys per, averaging 33.8 minutes during that span. Danilo Gallinari isn’t right yet (although heating up), so stream him while he’s hot, and don’t hold him when his minutes drop.

SELL:

LeBron James SF, PF

Sacrilege, right? well, he is arguably the best player in the game, still, that’s true. But his team is crappy, and while the team will undoubtedly improve, the Cavs have a terrible schedule during the fantasy schedule (2 game week in week one, I believe, followed by a 3 game week. Whatever, look in up yourself, I’m not your Mom!), as Slim has mentioned a number of times. Bron can net you a top 7 player, and I would think about it, in case the wheels completely come off in Cleveland, and he becomes a Kobe-eque shooting ballhog. I would rather have the security of a Stephen Curry, or a Nikola Vucevic/Bradley Beal. Many will disagree, like your colon protesting the ham and mashed mountain you’re soon to eat. Others will preach patience, saying flux will make James a fantasy King Kong. You decide, gentle reader, what to do. I’m off to buy a flat screen at 70% off.

Danny Green SG, SF

We buy low, and sell high here, right? ABC! Always Be Closing! It’s F@ck or walk here people! If you didn’t get the Glengarry Glen Ross reference, shame on you. Don’t have a third helping of turkey, drop everything right now and watch that movie! My point is, Danny is playing out of this world right now, and you can hopefully parlay that into something grand, well above his ADP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo SG, SF

His numbers have been climbing, and we all love pulling for the kid, right? It’s Coach Kidd that bothers me. Last five games? 32 min, 18 min, 48 min, 15 min, 36 min. Up and down like a toilet seat, amirite? Let someone else handle that roller coaster, unless you love the ride, which I do not. Additionally, no blocks in his last 6 games. Me no likey.

Markieff Morris SF, PF, C

Markieff has played very well this year, and I love the Suns athletic game overall, it’s just plain entertaining. But as far as fantasy goes, his Yahoo ranking of 18 is just madness. This is the absolute apex of his potential, you couldn’t possibly expect any higher. Will he continue to produce at a respectable rate? Yes. Is he worth a second round designation? No. Do I hate people asking questions of themselves just to provide one word answers? Yes. And if you can parlay his fantasy production into a more dependable piece, do it, good reader!

That’s all for this week, I hope you all went out and heeded my advice on acquiring Kris Humphries last week, as Nene Hilario is out with a Plantar issue. He’s a marginal 10 team guy, I know it’s not earth shattering, but still. Told you so.

You may now give thanks. May all you shots be nothing but net!
