Alright, I’m ready to be called crazy again… Juancho top 75 next year on draft day and finishing top 50 (Faried and Gallo are UFA btw). He looks amazing out there, the dstats are going to be huge, he’s a really nice rebounder, the 3 point shot is money, he doesn’t turn it over much, mostly traveling calls which he will remedy, someday he’ll actually get a play run for him too or maybe someone will decide to actually pass him the ball. The FT% is a problem but internationally, the only time he got real minutes, he was about a .720 FT shooter. He’s too good of a shooter for that to be his career, I’ll probably be in the .730-.740 range on my projection next year. You can see his frustration when he misses a FT, he’s going to put in the work in the offseason. Back in Spain last year he was playing very much out of position at center, last night he was matched up with Hayward most of the time and I think that’s his best position, a combo forward that you put on the other teams best offensive forward, he can guard a 2 (what Hayward really is) and he’s even gotten a few minutes at center in the big leagues. I’m not quite picking him up in 12er redraft with Gallo’s timetable still up in the air but I’m getting really close. He turned his ankle at the end of the game but he walked it off, it doesn’t sound too bad.

This is way too early but here’s my projection for next year as I see it right now…
    .460/.735/1.7/12.5/7.0/1.0/1.5/1.2/1.5 :32 minutes and starting.

@Slim: Slim its a Holiday, not a REL-bias pushing morning! Haha just messin. Thats a mad aggressive projection. Well see what they do – if anything – in the offseason. What if they draft a big high next yr in draft?

      • dan-o1 says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: LOL! Hope you fellas have a good turkey day

      • Slim

        Slim says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I think Juancho should be the starting SF and play a stretch4 in a small ball lineup. I have no concern from a draftpick coming in and threarening his PT, Juancho is too good for that, with that said they definitely should draft another big wing/PF just considering what they will probably lose in FA.

I’ve regretted REL trades in the past for sure but when i traded Juancho away I knew it was the wrong move. I was basically begging DanA to trade him back to me. Man I got lucky. Oubre is fine and all but Juancho is on a completely different level.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@dan-o1: @Slim: Kinda Crowderish? Wow, bequeathing the “too good for that” already? Yeah i would take juancho over oubre right now tho…

          Thanks dan-01!

          • Connor says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: I’m hoping Slim is right, I just traded Rose for Juancho in the REL #2 lol

          • Slim

            Slim says:
            (link)

@Connor: @JB Gilpin: Yeah Crowder is a good comp. I’d say a smidge less steal upside for Juancho and a bit more block upside and I think Juancho is a better rebounder, Crowder career per36 is like 5.8 (which is what he did last year), Juancho (granted in only 162 total minutes) is at 8.2. Crowder is certainly a better FT shooter now but he wasn’t all that good at 21, .683 in college, or at 22, .644 as a rookie. I think Juancho is a better 3pt shooter already, maybe the best 3pt shooter on Denver, well besides Murray. Really though the best thing about Juancho (besides his amazing name) is the energy he plays with and I think that in and of itself will keep his floor pretty high.

I bet DRose was a lot more expensive too. My Juancho is $6, what’s yours? When fully healthy (this year) I don’t expect too many minutes from Juancho but when Faried, Gallo, or Wilson is down or gone he should get minutes in the high 20s. Next year I think he’s a starter.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Connor: @Slim: Glad to hear REL 2 is staying active!

If Nuggets can clear house at the deadline this year, it would be great to see Juancho in an expanded consistent role, to gauge it for next year for sure

Hi guys Happy Thanksgiving y’all from Italy!!
Got a TG trade to eval for you: GIVE Oladipo 16$ x 2Y RECEIVE LaVine 3$ x 2Y.
In Dynasty which one would you pick? Is the time, an the return, right to sell-high on Dipo?
As always waiting for your advice πŸ˜‰

@VamosErik88: Happy thanksgiving! Is there something like that in italy!? Oh man, a feast of italian food with 8 different dishes would be amazing!

I think i do like that deal, semi-remembering your rules haha. The savings in money is big!

  7. Lasandro says:

10 team 14 cat roto: my Harden for his KD? Now I know your initial ranks don’t reflect equal value, but in my league, that lanky fella is holding crazy value. Honestly, who would be an at-value swap for Harden in my format? I’m thinking KD, AD and maybe Steph?

Meanwhile, I’ve been offered CP, KAT and Tyson for Harden, Porzi and my drop (who’d currently be Bayless). Thoughts? I’m solid in assists, so can afford to lose there. Needs the stls and brds… actually not happy about letting Bayless go though, right after picking him up.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lasandro: Why you trying to trade Harden? I still like his FTM as a stat killer. Nahhhh not doing that CP3 deal. I think Harden is too valuable

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: haha so I guess NO ONE is worth a 1 for 1 for my Harden? Fair nuff.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Lasandro: In a league with FTM, I don’t think anyone is… Westbrook might be close, but Harden with the added 3s… Mmmmm

  8. Justin says:
    (link)

Which two should I bench out of this crew? 9 cat h2h. Trevor booker, Thad young, crowder, Schroeder, wade.

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@Justin: all matchup based I reckon, but on pure value right now, I’d prob bench either Thad or Dennis depending on needs.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Justin: @Lasandro: Is this for today’s games? Would 100% depend on your matchup and what stats are close/not close

  9. Dirk's Digglers says:
    (link)

Razzup JP! Have been offered Nick Young for my Marvin Williams … is Swaggy gonna hold his value all year round? is Starvin Marvin gonna keep stinkin out the gym all year long? do I pull the trigger?

    • Dirk's Digglers says:
      (link)

I might be able to get JR Smith for Marvin … who would you prefer ROS Smith, Swaggy or Marvin?

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Dirk’s Digglers: Razzup man?! Nahhhh Swaggy is shooting a career-best FG%, near career high 3pt%, and does nothing in ast/stl/blk. I’d hold. I’d stick with Marvin, then JR, Swag

  10. Nukna says:
    (link)

    Hi guys, regards from Serbia!
    I play in a 6-team (22 players per team) standard 9-cat H2H league.
This is my team, feel pretty happy about it, was able to pick up few nice FAs and take advantage of some panic drops from other owners.

Kemba, Lowry, Dragic, G. Hill, Holiday, Collison
    Batum, Matthews, Barton
    Leonard, Crowder, Ariza, A. Gordon
Millsap, Dieng, T. Harris, M. Williams, T. Booker, T. Young
    Whiteside, P. Gasol, Capela
    IL – Lin, Noel

The potential drops I see are Barton, A. Gordon and M-Will.
With Lin (hopefully) coming back soon, I’ll have to kick one of them out.
Barton might be the top candidate.
I’m considering keeping AG in the longer term, hoping he will see the minutes bump once Orlando’s score gets ugly enough. However, not sure if that’s the smart thing to do.
As for the Starvin Marvin, his shot is off this season, which should recover eventually. I’ve been a fan of his quiet but significant contribution for years, but I don’t like the fact that the BLKs are down (not surprising following the contract year, ha?). I’ve been holding him anyhow for his 3s contribution, in spite of the bad lines overall.

There are some appealing FAs also, like Carroll, T. Jones, Beverley, Murray, Z-Bo…

My first question is which of the three would you drop when Lin returns? And also, do any of these FAs seem appealing enough to make some move?

Massive respect for all the effort.
    Happy Thanksgiving
    Nukna

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Nukna: Whoa, interesting league! Yeahhhhh I think Barton might be your first out too, shame injuries have slowed him down right now… Yeah Marvin’s blocks were fluky high and I didn’t really see them repeating, but he’s shooting awful from inside the perimeter and that should normalize a little. That said, I like Terrence Jones upside over him. So I would prob lose Barton for Tjones, then drop Marvin when Lin is back, if Tjones is looking solid. Happy thanksgiving!

        Thanks, JB!
Followed your advice, especially with Cunningham out for over a month.
Got a guy in my league with Curry, CP3, Greak Freak, Horford, Brook (6 team league, remember)… he`ll be tough to break, but I`ll manage somehow. πŸ™‚

  11. Johnc says:

Off to a good start but always seeking improvement in 9 cat, 12 team league. Howard’s FT and injury history, turnovers spook me. Plus my blocks have been meh. RJax back soon. Delly expendable? Three questions:

    1. General thoughts on where to get better

    2. Would you trade Howard for Jonas straight up?

    3. Is Delly a drop for Marvin Williams or Danny Green?

CP3, Frazier (holding while he is playing alongside Jrue) , RJax (IR slot)), Delly
    Leonard, Porter, Hood, Crowder, DeRo,
Myles, Howard, Poison Goose, JayMychael, Adams, Leuer

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Johnc: 1. Yeah FT for sure, you’re so good there minus Dwight. 2. Yuppppp, 100% over! 3. Eh. You are pretty good in AST… I might ride Delly out until you get Rjax back

  12. Johnc says:
    (link)

Thank you. Just sent him Howard for Jonas Val.
Also, tried Delly and Howard for Gobert.

    Fingers crossed one gets taken

@Johnc: Love both those deals for you, will be hoping one gets taken!

        @JB Gilpin:

        No luck! Dang.

Was offered Dragic for Crowder and Delly. If R Jax is indeed the same player, Dragic could be redundant but I like getting a he best player. What say you?

        • JB Gilpin

@Johnc: Damn, well never hurts to try! Nahhhh, I really like Crowder and worry about Dragic DNPs down the stretch as he’s already had some injuries
