The Player Rater is a tool to evaluate the performance of a player with only one number. This is not a perfect tool and will not guarantee victory in fantasy, but this is useful to help improve and evaluate your team.

In each category of scoring, a number is calculated to represent the average total in that category. If a player has the average, his rating in that category is 0.00. The numbers represent how much a player is above or below the average.

If the rating is positive, that player is an above-average fantasy player in that category. If the rating is negative that player is below-average. The sum of all ratings in each category gives us a number (the PR), and then we rank the players accordingly.

I have not included turnovers, as the evaluation in PR is very controversial in my opinion, so if you’re in a league with turnovers, you must keep in mind this.

If you have any question let me know.

    Helloo Tony,

    I got offered my nurkic for taurean + james johnson would you trade or no ?? if yes who should i drop to FA

    my team : nurkic,durant,dray,horford,teague,dsj,conley,marvin,WCS,middleton,gary harris,m. turner

    h2h 11cat(9cat+TO=PF) 14 teams

    thanks tony

    • @Willy: This season Nurkic has a poor FG for a center (46.4 %) with a mediocre 65.1 from the line, not bad for a center; this ranks him around top 150 cat. The combo James Johnson and Prince improve your team against Nurkic, but your other players are very good to drop him. If you have to drop one of them, refuse the trade or search other with 2×2.

        @Tony RP: Tony, don’t you think he can just drop Marvin Williams after accepting that deal? James Johnson and Prince are a big upgrade over Nurkic/Marvin in my opinion…

        Brent

        • @Brent: Marvin Williams is a top 80 player this season and he’s improving lately, and with Prince obtains poor FG like Nurkic but losing in rebounds and blocks.

        @Tony RP: Totally agree!

        Oladipo is a 1st round player and will be a top pick next season

    Hi Tony,

    Should I drop Tyler Johnson for Milos Teodosic?

    Thanks!

      @BRING: Yes

    • @BRING: Yes, yes and yes. If he’s healthy he can be a top 60 player after the all-star break with elite performance in threes and assists. A potential 15 points 9 assists every night.

    Great job Tony!

    Man, how many leagues are BogBog and Stephenson available in? I have Stephenson in my league where I have Oladipo as insurance and it helps me sleep better at night.

    Do you think BogBog’s breakout last night is something he can keep going? He got 39 minutes and he’s not really blocked by veteran’s like Fox and Labissierre.

    Thanks!

    Brent (@TheFantasyDick on Twitter) 🙂

    • @Brent: Thank you Brent, Bogdan is avaible around 59% in all yahoo leagues but in our Razzball CL around zero! Stephenson is only 19% owned.
      I have benn watching Bogdan for years in the Euroleague with numbers last season alike Teodosic. For me top 80 rest of the year.
