Jeremy Lamb was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets. A few days before the start of the regular season, Lamb was traded in a package for James Harden to Oklahoma City. Sacrificial Lamb? In three years with the Thunder, Lamb never averaged more than 19 minutes per game and was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in 2015. The first two years in Charlotte didn’t seem much different, as he averaged 18 minutes per game in each season. Then, in 2017 Lamb received close to 25 minutes per game and averaged over double-digits for the first time in his career, but during the 2017 NBA draft, the Hornets selected Malik Monk with the 11th overall pick. Sacrificial Lamb? Signs were pointing to Monk taking the starting shooting guard duties away from Lamb, as he seemed to have a higher upside. Well…..

PTS REB AST STL BLK TOV 3PT FG FT

He’s shooting 43% from the field and 34% from downtown. Don’t expect many assists or blocks. Just solid top 60 production. No sacrificial Lamb this time because he’s baaaaaaaaad.

Here’s what else I saw last night:

Trevor Ariza

Since acquiring Ariza, the Wizards are 1-4, with the lone win coming against the Suns in triple-overtime. Since acquiring Ariza, he has been a top 25 player for fantasy. Since the powers that be in Washington seem to be living in a fantasy world, that is the stat they probably focus on. My NSA buddy texted me a convo that one of their Google Home devices picked up last night: “We’re already paying hundreds of millions for that freaking Wall. Let’s give Ariza the super max. Why? Because we can market the fact he’s a top fantasy player and his name sounds exotic, un-American. That should buy us some good will with….ummmm….those people.”

Unfortunately, he doesn’t provide the D and the turnover rate is high. As a result, he’s been a top 100 player over the past six games. Back to the blocks, you know how ridiculously low the number is? He has 15 on the season. Pat Connaughton has 15 blocks. Damian Lillard has 19. De’Aaron Fox has 20!

He’s been a top 15 player over that span. I once had Booker in the same tier as Andrew Wiggins. If I could wash my brain out with soap, I would. I’ve been super impressed with how Booker has developed his game and am optimistic for both his real-life and fantasy prospects going forward.

I’m keeping Huerter, but positional eligibility would make a difference. My concern with Bjelica is that he will cede time when Bagley returns. Plus, there’s a chance Giles gets some run as the season progresses.

Huerter is locked into his role and the environment is the most fantasy friendly.

As for Kurucs, it sounds like he’s played himself into a role but the return of Crabbe will ciphon off some minutes for sure. Plus, BKN has so many options and what happens if/when Kurucs hits a wall?

    Harden, Kemba, Bledsoe, Rondo
    IR: G Harris

Rondo has such a sweet playoff run in March I have been holding him but…..

@JC: @JC: I don’t mind holding onto Rondo. The only move I’d consider is Thompson for J Johnson, primarily for positional eligibility. You’re pretty stacked at the forward positions.

I know Crabbe is returning soon, but I still want to drop Cousins for Rodie K. Hah

@Son: I’m doing it now!! Watched Rodie yesterday on TV, the kid has the makings of an Andrei Kirilenko!

@I just wanna Kawhi: Yo, AK-47 was amazing in his prime. Let’s not get carried away…at least not yet! Plus, Kurucs doesn’t seem to have the same defensive chops

@Son: ha! My bad, maybe AK Lite! Lol Damn, Kirilenko was freaking amazing, I miss that dude

@I just wanna Kawhi: Ha! All good. I hated that guy because he played for the Jazz, but had so much respect for his game, both on and off the court. Dude was a freak.

I’m not sure who Kurucs comps to. Should be an interesting project to pursue

@Son: ha! Would u choose D. White for Cuzzo? I notice his mins have been on a rise these past few games, hasn’t done a lot with those mins tho…

@Son: cousins, buddy! I went ahead and dropped the guy. I’m thinking now whom I’m gon replace him with

Need FG%, FT%, rebounds, points- would you rather have Sabonis or D. Jordan for the rest of the season? It feels to me like Jordan, but with the FT% risk it seems close. Thanks!

@Ben: In a vacuum, it’s DJ. With that said, how much do you weight FT%?

      • Ben says:
        (link)

@Son: just one of nine categories, but one where I have among the most room to improve. I think DJ is the way to go too if I can swing a deal, thanks Son.

@Ben: No prob. You might as well just punt FT% then and configure your squad along that path
