Jeremy Lamb was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets. A few days before the start of the regular season, Lamb was traded in a package for James Harden to Oklahoma City. Sacrificial Lamb? In three years with the Thunder, Lamb never averaged more than 19 minutes per game and was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in 2015. The first two years in Charlotte didn’t seem much different, as he averaged 18 minutes per game in each season. Then, in 2017 Lamb received close to 25 minutes per game and averaged over double-digits for the first time in his career, but during the 2017 NBA draft, the Hornets selected Malik Monk with the 11th overall pick. Sacrificial Lamb? Signs were pointing to Monk taking the starting shooting guard duties away from Lamb, as he seemed to have a higher upside. Well…..

He’s shooting 43% from the field and 34% from downtown. Don’t expect many assists or blocks. Just solid top 60 production. No sacrificial Lamb this time because he’s baaaaaaaaad.

Since acquiring Ariza, the Wizards are 1-4, with the lone win coming against the Suns in triple-overtime. Since acquiring Ariza, he has been a top 25 player for fantasy. Since the powers that be in Washington seem to be living in a fantasy world, that is the stat they probably focus on. My NSA buddy texted me a convo that one of their Google Home devices picked up last night: “We’re already paying hundreds of millions for that freaking Wall. Let’s give Ariza the super max. Why? Because we can market the fact he’s a top fantasy player and his name sounds exotic, un-American. That should buy us some good will with….ummmm….those people.”

Unfortunately, he doesn’t provide the D and the turnover rate is high. As a result, he’s been a top 100 player over the past six games. Back to the blocks, you know how ridiculously low the number is? He has 15 on the season. Pat Connaughton has 15 blocks. Damian Lillard has 19. De’Aaron Fox has 20!

He’s been a top 15 player over that span. I once had Booker in the same tier as Andrew Wiggins. If I could wash my brain out with soap, I would. Had double-dubbed in five straight prior to last night. Also, that was only the fifth time all season that Ayton had failed to score in double-digits. So, basically, shit happens. What’s been very encouraging has been the improvement in blocks as the season has progressed. October – 0.6 per game. November – 0.9. December – 1.2. Played 24 minutes off the bench and continues to lead that second unit. The points, threeecolas, rebounds, and assists have been there, but the steals have been lacking and the field goal percentage has been poor. He’s been a top 250 player over the past six games. I still believe in BogBog and think he’s still just getting back into the groove from the injury.

Got the start and played 21 minutes. You don’t mess with the Boban.

Such a boss. He did just have an ice cold stretch not too long ago, but over the past four games, he’s been a top 35 player. The free throw shooting sucks and he doesn’t launch from downtown, but the points, boards, and blocks are plentiful.

In 22 minutes! A true professional getter of buckets. Top 70 player over the past four games. Sweet Lou has an insane usage rate over 30 and he provides threeecolas, points, and assists. Unfortunately, he averages less than 25 minutes per game. Not sweet.
