If you haven’t heard, Jayson Tatum is actually going to play. That’s cool. It’s always good news when a superstar is playing.

You should get him since his upside is a top five player. I wouldn’t expect back to backs at all, and I would expect a minutes limit, probably 20 minutes. That gives him numbers like 12-5-3 or close to it. Optimistic here, we but also have to be realistic. A reinjury is a nightmare situation, of course, and the Celtics will for sure play this cautiously.

Sam Hauser, Jared Walsh, and Hugo Gonzalez all are going to lose their value.

Other Notes:

The Bulls are a deeply stupid team, and for some reason Collin Sexton played 37 minutes. Scored 30 points, and is worth the pickup in all leagues while Josh Giddey remains out. Tre Jones is capped at 28 minutes and is worth starting as long as he’s healthy, but keep in mind the Bulls should be losing and they may sit. Guerschon Yabusele and Nic Richards also are playing around 30 per, and if you need big man minutes they’re your huckleberry.

Ayo Dosunmu has settled into the 24-28 minute range for Minnesota. That’s a 12-4-3 line nightly with a steal or so. He’s a good value as a filler.

Look, Jay Huff is probably not a good actual basketball player. That may be the point. Huff daddy is locked into the starting role and helping the Pacers lose. There’s no chance he’s in the plans as a starter, but he’s going to put up the threes and blocks with five rebounds or so. As a starter, his box plus/minus is a -12.8. So clearly they’ll keep running him out there and help them lose. You, dear owner, should keep running him out there and let his stats help you win.

Ausar Thompson (I can’t keep twins apart either. This is the one on Detroit) sprained his ankle with severity to be determined. There’s no real takeaway from the game it happened. Thompson played 2 minutes, and the rest were distributed among Caris LaVert (20), Kevin Huerter (17), and Ronald Holland (10). This would seem to indicate a time share of sorts, or a hot hand situation. Oh JaVonte Green also went 19 minutes. None of these blokes are rosterable as is, but keep an eye on the situation to see if one takes control of the minutes.

It’s worth watching the Thunder based on who’s playing. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will probably keep missing random games against bad teams. Alex Caruso too, and is probably best left on the wire. So, watch the blurbs and stuff. Jared McCain is a great streamer (12 PPG on OKC) and seems like a good candidate for big games given his ability to hit 2 treys per game.

Screw it, here’s a power ranking of Thunder depth guys:

Cason Wallace: currently starting, for sure sticks in the rotation

Jared McCain: likely gets more run as they evaluate for next year

Ajay Mitchell: Injured or he’d be first

Isaiah Joe: purely a 3 point play

Aaron Wiggins: I could be wrong here but he seems like he has the least statistical upside

Bismack Biyombo played one minute for the Spurs. I find that funny.

Thanks for checking in. If you’re like me, you get exhausted by our Razzball incredible baseball coverage, but there’s still leagues to win in hoops. Don’t live with that regret!
