Hello Razzball Nation! Back again here to break down some NBA DFS. Got a nice sized slate here with nine games. #1 piece of advice as always is to be up to date on injuries, as the info in this article will only be up to date as of Tuesday night. There is once again not a lot of great value on this slate with the current injury news, so we’ll need to wait for more info to get to multiple spend ups.

Let’s get down to it. Pricing is always (Fanduel/DraftKings). I mostly play tournaments and my picks will always bias towards volatility and upside.

Guards

Spend ups ($9k and over)

Damian Lillard ($10,000/$10,600)

I’m liking Lillard as a tournament play against the Grizzlies, but only on Fanduel at that price. He’s got a nice ceiling and hopefully won’t be crazy popular.

Ja Morant ($10,200/$10,400)

I like Ja as another tournament play here matching up against Lillard. Can play him on either site. Also shouldn’t be crazy popular.

Stephen Curry ($10,100/$10,300)

Curry is probably my favorite of the spend up PG group here and, if you are playing cash contests, he’d be the “safest” one I’d play. The early total number on this matchup against the Wolves is 240 with the Warriors favored by 2.5. Vegas expects this game to be a high scoring competitive affair and I’ll buy that.

Middle-to-High (7k-8.9k)

Chris Paul ($8,300/$8,300)

Paul is averaging 47.7 FPPG on FD and 49.7 FPPG on DK since returning from injury in his last five games. He easily reaches value if he continues on this trend.

Bradley Beal ($8,000/$7,300)

It’s been a weird down year for Bradley Beal, but he’s still capable of big scoring outbursts on occasion, and he has a cake matchup against the Pistons. I like the price on DK a lot, and he’s still playable on FD.

Middle ($5k-6.$9k)

Tre Jones ($5,800/$5,600)

Jones gets a matchup against the Kings with an early total of 244.5. The fear here is a blowout, but if he gets his normal complement of minutes, he should be able to reach value here. His price has been in the mid $6,000s for most of the season so we get a nice discount here.

Value Town (Under $5k)

Alec Burks ($4,900/$5,100)

Burks has been starting the last three games and has averaged 28.2 FPPG on FD over that span. Assuming he continues to start, he should be priced in the mid to high $5,000s and we can play him at a nice discount.

Monte Morris ($4,800/$4,700)

Monte’s price is down after a few off games, and I don’t love the play, but he has a reasonable floor at a low price. He’s a last guy in salary relief play.

Forwards

Spend ups ($9k and over)

Anthony Edwards ($9,500/$9,800)

Ant has been on a tear recently averaging over 55 FPPG on both sites over his last six games. He gets a matchup against the Warriors at home, and like I said earlier in Curry’s blurb, Vegas thinks this game should be high scoring and competitive.

Middle-to-High ($7k-$8.9k)

Paolo Banchero ($7,600/$6,700)

In this exact same matchup two days ago, Banchero put up 29/9/3/1/1 en route to a comeback victory against the 76ers. His price is down from where it has been and he always has the kind of ceiling he just showed. He’ll be a popular play on both sites but especially on DK.

Middle ($5k-$6.9k)

Andrew Wiggins ($6,400/$5,900)

Wiggins has been on and off the injury report, but he seems to be healthy and played 32 minutes last game. I like the matchup and his price is on the lower side for his potential ceiling.

Jeremy Sochan ($5,600/$5,200)

Sochan is averaging over 31 FPPG on both sites over his last five games, including a 30/8/5 game. The one-handed free throw taking rookie has really been ascending over the past month or so, and he’s underpriced for what he’s been accomplishing recently.

Value Town (Under $5k)

No one I can recommend with confidence at the moment. Jaden McDaniels, Kenrich Williams and Joe Harris are all reasonable options if you need salary relief at forward, but I’m not targeting playing any of them.

Centers

Spend ups ($9k and over)

Domantas Sabonis ($9,600/$9,900)

I like the matchup against the Spurs as long as this game doesn’t blow out. Sabonis had 18/18/8 the last time these teams matched up in mid January.

Middle-to-High ($7k-$8.9k)

Alperen Sengun ($8,300/$8,800)

No KPJ and Jalen Green means we’re going to keep getting point center Sengun. The Rockets are terrible but this guy is legitimately great in only his second year. He has a nice matchup against OKC and, without the other top Rockets available, his ceiling is massive.

Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,700/$7,100)

It’s a home game for the Grizz and as we now all know from r/NBAs latest 24 hour conspiracy theory, JJJ blocks a ton of shots at home. He’s got a nice price for the matchup and is just coming off a huge game with 28/8 and 5 blocks.

Middle ($5k-$6.9k)

Precious Achiuwa ($6,400/$5,700)

Precious has been starting with OG Anunoby sidelined and has taken advantage of the opportunity averaging over 35 FPPG over his last six games. He’s underpriced for his newfound role.

Value Town (Under $5k)

Mo Bamba ($3,900/$3,000)

This is only if Wendell Carter Jr is out, who is currently listed as questionable with a foot injury. If he’s out, Bamba should start and easily pay off this minimum price tag.
