Fun night for JB last night!  I was driving down a desert road, opened up my suitcase, did…  something with a lot of things… and next thing I know I’m raging next to Benicio Del Toro and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in a hotel bathroom!  KCP was absolutely unconscious last night, hitting 12-18 from the field (8-11 3PTM 6-8 FT) for a career-high 38/4/1/4/0.

Somebody call the ThrAGNOF police, we’ve found a face!  As Slim noted on the Pod, KCP has some of the wildest game-to-game variance with his scoring, but as we saw last night, when he hot, he hot!  The big changes for this year is he’s taking and making career-high treys (2.3 for 5.6), and making them at fantastic 40.3% clip.  Even though he’s at a career-high scoring, he’s actually taking less shots per game than last year.  And you know I’m an addict for AST:TO – 1.8:1.4 last year to 2.9:1.3 this season.  So much to get addicted to!  Let’s just hope the good times keep rollin’, and John Travolta won’t have to stab a foot-long needle in my heart if things go sour!  Here’s what else went down on a busy night of basketball last night:

Ricky Rubio Was actually 4-4 FG at half, before the Cavs then absolutely torched the Wolves in the second half.  Ended up 5-11…  Too confident, Ricky!  14/2/13/0/1 with a trey as he continues his dimebag ways…

Zach LaVine Shot 4-18, including 0-6 from deep.  Safe word!  Labradoodle!

LeBron James Didn’t have as much to complain about after this one!  27/8/12/2/1 as the Cavs get back on track.  Hopefully with them winning again, he’ll stop balding…

Kyrie Irving Career-high 14 dimes.  The Wolves interior defense had all sorts of miscommunications and gave up a ton of easy baskets inside.  Effin Tristan Thompson scored 18 points!

Channing Frye Getting the start with Kevin Love still out (back), 18/4/1/1/2 with 3 treys and no TO in a surprising multi-cat line.  He was decent the game before against Dallas as well…  The Cavs are off until Saturday, but I could see a stream here if Love is still out.

Kyle Korver Good to see he can still shoot sometimes!  8-11 FG with 4 treys for a ThrAGNOF 20/1/2/0/1.

Paul George Yikes, smothered in that Magic defense!  8/7/3/0/0 with 5 TO on 3-14 shooting.  PG13 owners dropped some R-rated words after seeing this line!  Fiddelsticks!  Horse pucky!

Elfrid Payton Pretty boring game in Orlando, with Elfrid having a rough go as well, going 11/6/3/0/0.  Only 1 TO and shot 5-10, so there’s that…  Evan Fournier got 30 minutes and moved back into the starting line-up, going 12/1/4/2/0 with 2 treys.  Still hoping The Virgin doesn’t put Elfrid’s value on the Shelfrid!

Jonas Valanciunas Picked up 3 quick fouls in the first half, the the 4th foul early in the 3rd quarter, so barely got any run.  12 minutes of 3/3/1/0/1, but thankfully it wasn’t a low-run night due to injury…

Kyle Lowry Put the offense on his shoulders, as he continues his hot run of scoring 29+ points in 6 straight.  32/2/5/2/0 with 4 treys, but twasn’t quite enough.

Norman Powell Welcome back to the party, Powell!  12/5/2, but no treys and 4 TO.  Not the best DeMar DeRozan fill-in this time.

Lucas Nogueira – Hey Bebe!  10/5/0/1/4 with some extended run getting 28:29.  Shot 3-4 FG and 4-4 FT.  His only miss…?  A 3PTA?!?!  Why you going so far out there, Bebe?!

Isaiah Thomas Keeps bumping up his tallies for MVP votes.  44/4/7 with 5 treys and 15-16 FT, as the Celtics continue chasing the Cavs for best record in the East.

Marcus Smart Nothing too special otherwise for the C’s, with Smart leading the bench with 35 minutes for 10/5/5/2/0 and a trey.

Anthony Davis Trying to keep the Pelicans on his back, but he’s the only one makin’ em fly!  Well, other than Jrue…  31/12/2/2/4, but I think he had most of this rainbow line earlier on.  And in a 20-point loss, you just LOOOOVVVVEEE seeing 41 minutes…

Jrue Holiday 22/3/11/2/1 on 10-17 shooting, as the Pels are a 2-man team right now.  Their low-end free agent signings aren’t picking up the slack!

Reggie Jackson Not surprising to see a rough game with KCP going off, but he did get benched down the stretch, only going 21 minutes for 6/0/3/0/0.  Here we go again, StanVan!  Did this some last year, but we’ll see if it holds.  Ish Smith got 27 minutes (15/3/7) and had a +36  to R-Jax’s -16.  Second unit+KCP was killin’ it!

Kent Bazemore Nothing that interesting from the Hawks last night, as no one had a good game, just a lot of blah.  Baze actually led em in scoring!  14/0/1/2/1 with a trey in 6-11 shooting.  When Bazemore – who was ice cold as poo to start the year – is your leading contributor in a game, things went terribly wrong!

James Johnson I’m tellin’ ya, he’s become the heart and soul of this team!  Taurean Prince decided to use his 6 minutes of game action to practice football tackling on Hassan Whiteside (who had a nice 18/18/0/1/2 game) and Johnson rushed over ready to throw down:

I love that Whiteside is just sprawled out, like a chalked body-outline after a murder.  Hah!  Even though it didn’t seem like Prince was trying to do a full body slam, to be fair, it was a 105-86 game.  Scoreboard!  Johnson had a nice outing prior to the ejection as well, going 16/2/3/1/3 in only 23 minutes.  Man, what a waiver wire find…

Dion Waiters 20/5/7/2/2 with 2 treys on 9-15 shooting.  Slim is unbelievable for getting this run outta him in our JB vs. Slim RCL.  He should pull himself out of the race for using someone he thinks is so terrible at basketball…  Such a crooked politician!

Tyler Johnson That’s how we bounce back, baby!  11/3/5/2/2 for a rainbow line on his second game back from injury.  Hit a trey, 2-2 FT, 4-11 FG, only 1 TO…  Multi-cat love!

Willy Hernangomez Bringing the full Willy last night!  16/16/2/2/1 off the bench in 25 minutes, as Joakim Noah continues to be terrible as a starter, and only got 13 minutes.  I love Willy’s upside, but there’s still this looming KOQ that could take this minutes again.  It’s flip flopped so many times, that I have no idea if Hornacek will let Willy run away with this – not like KOQ hasn’t put up some erect lines!  Worth a spec add, but I wouldn’t hold if there’s a minutes dropoff in the next couple games.

Brandon Jennings – Who left the roof open in Brooklyn last night?!  1-11 from the field, but at least salvaged the night with a 6/3/10/5/0 line.

Trevor Booker – Hurray, Mess!  Let’s now move one of fantasy’s surprises and a nice find you guys got in the first month, and completely ruin his minutes and now bring him off the bench!  Sheesh.  12/8/3/1/1 is awesome and all, but only 16 minutes and now off the bench?!

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson Booker was benched for RHJ to play combo F with Bojan Bogdanovic, and RHJ went 16/8/3/0/1 on 6-11 shooting.  4 TO though…  He’s lacked consistency all season, so would need to see several good starts to recommend going back here long term, but I don’t mind a flier.  Mess are gonna play the youts.  “Did you say, youts?!”

Jahlil Okafor Struggling to find much interesting for the Sixers, who got steamrolled by a resurgent Mavs team.  16/1/1/0/0 for Okafor in 24 minutes, and gets a Doug Collins’ shout out!  1 rebound?!  From your starting center?!?!?!

Salah Mejri It’s the.  Return.  Of.  The.  Baby giraffe!  Unleashed for 21 minutes for 16/17/0/1/1 as Okafor refused to ever box him out.  “He’s a giraffe, he has hooves, he can’t rebound!”  We’ve seen some nice rebounding games from B. Giraffe in the past, but he only gets minutes in the right matchups.  Pass.

Seth Curry Mannnnn, playing a lot better than I expected these days.  Deron Williams could still return soon though, but 22/3/6/4/0 with 3 treys is wayyyyy better than his typical lines the first few months.  Own while hot, and see how the minutes shake out.

Yogi Ferrell DWill’s return will certainly hurt Ferrell more, who is playing a BOATLOAD of minutes right now!  38 mins for 11/3/5/1/1 – not the greatest line, and no treys on 3-13 FG shooting – but I’d be streaming Yogi in 130% of my leagues!

Chandler Parsons Kinda wish he got 3 more assists…  6/6/3 is only fairly close to the line I would expect from this demon these days…

Marc Gasol 24/5/3/0/1.  Pretty good for him…  but in only 24 minutes!  Grizz got to spread their starters thin as they pummeled the Nugs.

Jameer Nelson – Good thing Emmanuel Mudiay was back!  Ejected with 2 techs in under 4 minutes, giving Mudiay 26 minutes off the bench for 14/6/7.  I bet they wanted him to play less coming off an injury, but when your vet presence gets ejected, hurray!  6-10 FT from Mudiay as well, so good to see him aggressive.  Bad to see him missing freebies…

Gary Harris Well, something to be said for efficiency!  12/2/1/1/0 on 4-4 shooting with 2 treys and 2-2 FT.  He scored more than Courtney Lee though!

Danilo Gallinari Left last night with a groin injury, but still got 30 minutes.  Coach Malone said he thought it was hampering The Rooster all game, so let’s hope the MRI he’s getting today comes up clean.  Random thought – how awkward do you think it is getting a groin MRI?!

Blake Griffin Back in tip-top, punch-punch form going 29/8/5/1/1 on 10-14 shooting and 9-10 FT.  Just needed a date with the Suns!

Raymond Felton Not sure why he’s listed as a “F” on the Yahoo game page, but maybe he looked that much bigger because he ate 15 happy meals before the game…  18/5/1/1/0 with 2 treys in a nice outing.  I took him over Austin Rivers a week ago, and it looked pretty bad then, but OK now!  Rivers was fine as well as the starting PG, going 14/2/4/3/0.

DeAndre Jordan Ejected for hit-sticking Marquese Chriss on a dunk attempt.  Good thing Chriss is a youngun, he took a hard fall!  Chriss ended up with a 9/5/1/4/0 line with no TO in his follow-up to a nice flashing a couple night ago, but only shot 3-15.  When you have PTSD DJ, it’s tough to focus!

Eric Bledsoe After hitting his career high only a few games ago, matched it last night on a 41/4/8 line.  Hit 13-22 FG and 13-15 FT, but did have 6 TO and no D stats.  Still, nice revenge game!

Thon Maker Whoa, Thon Maker, the buzz maker!  12/5/0/1/3 in his best game as a pro, hitting 3 treys in 24 starting minutes.  The previous two starting C guys on big contracts – John Henson and Miles Plumlee – both got DNPs.  Some horrible money management going on!  I still dunno if I trust Maker, but deep league flier, sure!  And hell, this was against Rudy Gobert and he held his own while Gobert fouled out!

Giannis Antetokounmpo Dat Jazz D, doe!  9/6/4/1/0 with 3 TO on 2-10 shooting.  Luckily the Jazz are in the West and the Bucks only have to face them twice in a year…

Rodney Hood Mannnnn, dude can not stay healthy.  Hyperextended the same knee that cost him a few weeks earlier in the year, and getting an MRI today.  Alec Burks wasn’t huge, but 25 minutes of 6/4/0/2/0 with a trey, and he’s shockingly looking healthy himself.  Maybe not a 12er spec add yet, but any deeper, and I think Burks will get run even if Joe Ingles gets the starts.

Jerian Grant Another start at PG for the Bulls, who can’t figure out their PG situation to save their lives…  26 minutes of 12/3/3/0/0 on 5-7 shooting with 2 treys.  Pretty nice showing!

Dwyane Wade 18/7/7/2/0, hitting 7-12 from the field.  The Bulls somehow managed to shoot 60.5% and only have 9 turnovers.  That’s how you win basketball games, Chicago!

Russell Westbrook Tough to get rebounds when the other team shoots over 60%!  28/5/8/2/1 in 29 minutes as OKC got a little blown out.

Domantas Sabonis/Steven Adams The interior guys for OKC were awful, with Sabonis going 1-10 from the field and committing an awful TO (just threw the ball right to someone on the Bulls who got an easy layup) and Adams was only 8/6/0/0/0.  That Rolo defense!

Kemba Walker Only 7 points in 25 minutes.  I’m gonna guess it’s tough to beat the Warriors on the road when you stud does that…  Man, a lot of duds from the studs last night!

Frank Kaminsky Your only Hornet to do much of anything, getting hot off the bench for 24/7/2/2/0 on 9-14 shooting with 2 treys.  He scored 10 or fewer points the previous 6.  Bleh.  Frank the Stank!

Stephen Curry Saw KCP getting hot, and 1-upped him!  39/5/8/3/0 hitting 11, count em, 11 treys.  Shot 14-20 overall.  See, this is the #1 player I was looking for!

Kevin Durant With Klay Thompson also hitting his shots (6 treys, 29 points), KD took the backseat for 18/8/8/1/0.  That’s still a pretty sexy backseat, Slim Reaper!

JaVale McGee Got a start at center with Zaza still out, and got 4 blocks in 17 minutes.  Multi-blocks in 3 straight now.  Might not be Shaqtin-a-Fool to stream him for BlockNOF!

Whew, so many games last night!  I hope all your teams did well and didn’t own too many shares of the studs being duds!  Have a great weekend, and be sure to hit me up in the comments!

Drop warren, danny green or tyreke for t.booker or levert?

@Tyler: Don’t trust Booker’s role right now, or LeVert to be consistent enough. I’d prob hold, but really all of these guys could be streamers and I wouldn’t fault making moves just for who is playing that night.

just traded my Bledsoe and Beal for Butler and Gallinari….

aside from the instant Gallo groin pull…any thoughts on this deal?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Purdman: Hah damnnnnn, that sucks on Gallo. But yeah, even though I love E Bled, I think I’d stick with Butler over him, and Gallinari isn’t far off from Beal (when healthy). I like it, as long as AST wasn’t really a need for ya

Would you pick up Hernangomez and drop

    Brogdon
    Lin
    JRich

@JJ: Def can lose Lin (if in an active spot and not on IL). I don’t see Brooklyn letting him run too much this yr

Glad you got your fix, but the problem now is chasing that next KCP high! Believe me man, I got off that Terrance from NOLA after Jonesing too many times.

I dropped Zubac and am regretting it. Probably won’t clear waivers. How big of a bummer is this? To trade for his buddy Randle, would you give up Baze or Broggy?

Better stash (besides a little KCP): Lin or JRich? Either worth it?

    • miles proudfoot says:
      (link)

@miles proudfoot: also, what do you think of my Baze and Broggy for Plumlee and Tristin Thompson? Especially if not caring about 3s and points.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@miles proudfoot: Mannnnn, this high for right now is gonna last for days though. DAYS! Yeah, Tjonesing can definitely be a rocky ride, I like the pure, uncut KCP dust 🙂

Sure, yeah I think there’s still upside for Randle, I would give up either. Preference would prob be giving up Broggy. I think I’ll take JRich as the stash, I hate BKN haha.

So you’re FT punting, right? I think I’m good with that deal in a FT punt and ignoring those other cats

        • miles proudfoot says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: yes, focusing on boards, assists, steals, blocks and to’s. one other thought…not that trades seem to ever happen.
My Lowry Brogdon Bazemore for his Gobert Randle JamesJohnson. I’m pretty strong on assists and have an open roster spot which I could stream for them if I find myself in trouble.

@miles proudfoot: Seems to fit your build! Pretty much Lowry and junk for Gobert and junk (do still love my neck tat James Johnson though). I don’t think Lowry and Gobert are too far apart right now, in a vacuum

  5. Dante Green says:

So we were talkin about picking up Chriss but my attention was suddenly diverted to Willy Hernangomez… I placed a 2 dol bid on him and a dollar on Chriss, and poof, I got Willie. I know you’re not a big fan of the guy and neither am I. I only have a vacant roster spot (God it always happens!) because Joke is suddenly IR eligible so I snagged him. Once Joke’s back, I could drop either Willie or Parsons (I ain’t gon drop Agordon!). And if for some reason Willie starts getting minutes in the mid 20s, man, him and Golbac (Zubac’s evolve form) should be a strong support for Joke and Towns! That’d be crazy, those four putting up double-doubles with decent percentages. Hah

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Dante Green: HEhe, I knew this would happen eventually. Gotta catch em all. But yeah there are a bunch of good FT shooting young big men out there these days. If Willie gets 24 minutes everynight with no sub 10 minute games mixed in then sure you won’t miss Parsons.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Dante Green: @Slim: Wait, Zubac is a pokemon?!?! Yeah that would be a fun set of young bigs! Def like the add since you didn’t get Chriss, I mean they’re neck and neck in stashability!

Agree, if this is at all consistent for Willy, won’t miss Parsons

      @BILL BLAST:
Good question, I’m wondering the same thing

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@BILL BLAST: My moneys on Zubac. Both are good FT shooters and capable scorer/rebounders but I believe Zubac is the better shot blocker and doesn’t have as good of competition for playing time.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@BILL BLAST: @MJC: @Slim: Yeah I’m sticking with Zubac as well. Agree on the blocks, and agree on the situation – Walton has even said Zubac might be getting starts

    killing it as always guys!

    in a predicament right now…. currently sitting in 3rd on a 10 team 9cat h2h league

    G: Lowry, Curry, Waiters, Harris
F: Covington, Batum, Griffin, Baze, KCP, Fournier
C: Drummond, Dieng, JV, Zubac, Monroe

dropped Gibson and Felton to pick up Fournier and Zubac. got way too many wings currently but I like that they are all pretty well rounded. middleton is still on the wire. should I stand pat? or could I take a risk and stash middleton? dunno who to drop. appreciate it guys!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@dt: Thanks man, thanks for dropping by! Love those adds, surprised Fournier was dropped. Do you have bye weeks for your playoffs? I think I might just jostle for seeding if so, I kinda don’t see a drop right now for ya either. I’ll also add your FT% is AWESOME minus Drummond. might try to shop him

Also, is Waiters really this for real? Better long term play than TyJo or McConnell for real?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Not Your Average Joe: I’ll go James Johnson, think more staying power and does a little more. Whewwwww, good question on Waiters. I think over McConnell in a vacuum, yes. TyJo… Mannnn it’s close, Waiters will win bubblegum stats, but TyJo is so efficient! Gonna cop out to team needs there hah

  10. BILL BLAST says:

I have Monroe. Does this new Bucks trade effect him at all.

If anything I would think its bad that they added 2 more big’s in that clustereff mess with – Hibbert/Hawes/Thon/Monroe/Henson…… Ugh!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@BILL BLAST: Nah, i don’t think there’s a big change. I think this was all salary related, I kinda think Hibbert gets waived. And Hawes barely plays. Bucks get bad expiring contracts by giving up a new contract they don’t like. All about dat $$$$$$$$

  11. Jerry says:

@Jerry: Yo! Ohhh good one! I think i’ll go Waiter, between he and Johnson for me. I think the upside scoring nights has Waiter top this list in Pts for me

  12. COURT-VISION says:
    (link)

Whattup JB! Hope all is well.

I’m tied for second place and just behind the frontrunner in my 12er 9cat league. My team has been smoking hot until a slow last few weeks and i’m trying to work to push myself ahead down the stretch. I’m eyeing the playoffs at this point and trying to gauge who will be played, who will be sat or shut down, etc, and to work some trades accordingly. I have Bledsoe who has been great and feels like a sell high despite PHO’s good playoff schedule. A league-mate of mine wants him hella bad but i’m having trouble finding a trade to extract from him that actually works in my favor. I thought it might be worth jotting down both teams and seeing if you have any thoughts…

    My team:

    Greek Freak
    Pat Bev
    Bledsoe
    G Hayward
    Devin Booker
    KCP
    Swaggy P
    Fournier
    Tobias Harris
    Millsap
    Myles Turner
    D Favors
    Jamal Crawford (streaming)
    Mozgov (streaming)
    (IL) Linsanity

    His team:

    Ty Johnson
    Crabbe
    PJ Tucker
    T Ross
    DeRozan
    Thabo
    Chriss Chriss
    Bebe Noguera
    Gorgui Deng
    Tyson Chandler
    Leuer
    Muscala
    Horford
    Jamychael Green
    (IL) Jokic

I have been dominating in everything but Boards, and Assists has been a toss up with Lin out so long. Losing a PG doesnt seem to make a ton of sense unless he peters out anyway late in the season. The players that interest me on his squad are Horford, Derozan, T Johnson. Jokic seems risky. Chandler and Tucker would both be helpful due to trade/age/etc. T Johnson seems a bit risky too. If i could get Horford and Derozan for Bledsoe and another minor piece (maybe Swaggy or Favors)?

Any thoughts are much appreciated. Also, i picked Favors up on the wire ages ago and have been waiting and waiting for health…think theres any hope?

    Thanks JB!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@COURT-VISION: Hmmmm, yeah I dunno about Bledsoe being THAT much of a sell high, I really like his game tho. I think Horford + DeRozan for Bledsoe and a throw in would work. Def would want a good scorer coming back with Horford, and Horford brings dimes too. Yeah I can see why other team wants E Bled, they don’t have a PG! And yeah I think Favors will keep amping up the minutes, and he’s been OK! Not great, but for a waiver wire add, a big help!

      • COURT-VISION says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Thanks JB! I’ll mull it over. Having Bled for that nice playoff schedule sounds great and i like his game too. Just don’t wanna lose him to injury or overcautiousness on a bad team.

    Hey JB!
Just got offered a trade in a 12man Points league with bonus points for DDs:
My Jrue Holiday and JV for Dwight and Randolph

Im heavy on PG atm and Dwight seems to be getting hot again and JV is still a bit up and down. But not sure im willing to sacrifice Jrue with how good he’s been lately.
    Thoughts???
    Cheers!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Sam: Hmmmm. Yeah in a Points league, it’s much easier to roster Dwight. I think it’s about even given the dubdub bonus, and if you have a lot of PG it makes sense!

Trying to do a fair trade on talent that helps my playoff schedule. Washington and Charlotte have four games each week. So my idea is to use the player rater to prove my point to a reluctant trader who needs a jolt to get to the playoffs. I get Gortat, Markieff and Marvin. He gets Adams, James Johnson and Smart.
    I get #46, 64, 127. He gets #47, 73, 110. Thoughts on if this helps me…. my team:

    Lowry, RJax, Smart, Mudiay,
Leonard, Porter, G Harris, J Johnson
KAT, Adams, Horford, Jokic, Poison Goose
    Streamer (Muhammad right now)
    IR: CP3

@Johnc: Yeah I was about to say, it looks dead even on paper. And you get the win since you get the playoff boost. Only hesitation is the hit it takes on your AST, you’re already a pretty low AST team. Well, actually yeah if CP3 is back just fine, then you’ll be fine. That has me liking this!

    Yo JB,

Favors has been dropped in one of my leagues, 12 team, standard 9 cat, H2H

    My roster:
G: McCollum, Clarkson, Waiters, Hood, Seth Curry
F: Kawhi, Draymond, Love, James Johnson, Barnes, Ibaka
    C: Gibson, Zubac
    IL: Jokic, Middleton

Would you pick up Favors, or is it a lost season for him?

    Thanks,

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shahed: Wowwwwww, that’s surprising, def add him. Def losing Hood, there’s some big concern with his knee issues

  18. Slimbo says:
    (link)

    Hey man

14 team keeper where we keep 4

Give up oladipo for a 1st round pick? I’m in tank mode and have 3 other 1st round picks

Currently would be keeping durant, turner and jokic…4th keeper would most likely be Middleton, dunn, ingram or murray

    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Slimbo: Yo! Hell yeah, I would def do that. I don’t see Dipo turning into much in OKC unless Westbrook is out for some reason. I’d prob rather Middleton as a keeper to Dipo anyway for 17-18

Advice please on 1. General value? 2. Specific to my team

I give Adams and G Harris for his Beal. My waiver add would be E Turner, T Jones, or Bogdan so pretty shaky. Need a spot to activate CP3 later (hopefully). I like Beal’s playoff sked of four games each week but….high price.

    Lowry, RJax, Smart, Mudiay
Leonard, Porter, G Harris, J Johnson
KAT, Poison Goose, Jokic, Horford, Adams
    Streamer Spot:
    IR: CP3

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Johnc: I dunno if it’s that high of a price given your team. General value, I always like getting the best player, so I like it. But I like it even more for you given the big man depth. Turner looked good last night, so maybe not too shaky! Or maybe Yogi is still out there…?

      • Johnc says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

Thanks. I decided to stay put for now. My big question mark is Mudiay. What a mess he is. I am trying a lot of two for ones with him now but no luck. Yogi is gone. Playoffs are secure. Tied for first in H2H so a bye should be coming.

I could hold and hope Mudiay’s back injury improves but he hurts percentages greatly even when healthy. I guess I could drop him for Shabazz with LaVine out. T Jones is an option but so inconsistent. Kilpat and JaMike same thing. JRich? Ugh

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Johnc: Yeah getting benched and shopped around is no bueno. Mannnnn, that JMike game looked sexy! Kinda get an all-around glue guy? I’d prob make that switch

  20. TT says:

Playoff starts in mid-March. Zubac or Pau Gasol? Can stash until the playoff.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@TT: I’d rather be stashing Gasol, thankfully his injury isn’t muscle, or leg, or something like that. I expect him to be fine when healed

  21. Tyler says:
    (link)

Hey JB, how would you rank these bigs for a punt Ft team ROS? Bebe, Willy, Taj.

Im thinking Bebe > Willy > Taj seeing as blks is hardest to find in the waiver and Bebe is top 6 here. Willy is only not ahead because his good FT percentage wont help much in a punt Ft and he doesnt get good stocks as well more like Kanter lite in pts rebs while Taj is consistent late value with good % and stocks but only average. What do you think?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Tyler: I’m with ya on those ranks. Unless it’s a league with a lot of trading, Willy might be pretty sought after if he can somehow stay consistent

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@james: I’ll go Hardaway, but that’s a good one. Nance has some sexy flashes some games!

  23. Marshall says:

    Whiteside or Brook Lopez?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Marshall: Whiteside is pulling himself out of it, of course playing the Sixers helps… I’ll stick with Whiteside – blocks are harder to get than treys.

  24. Tino says:
    (link)

JB, can you rank Chriss Bangbang, Zubac, and Miles Plumlee?

Searching for a big with good upside after I picked up Hardaway Jr….The other options are Reed.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Tino: Hah, glad that’s catching! I like your order. Chriss definitely has the upside! Zubac does too, but in more a prototypical big man way.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Tyler: Sure, I think it’s OK to lose Warren

  27. Larry says:
    (link)

    Hey JB,
Lot of hot pickups right now, just picked up Yogi.
Middleton and Zubac available in waivers, although will probably not be able to get Middleton (14th on waivers). But won’t hurt to try, just not sure who to drop for the claim. Chriss, Jennings, and Richardson also available as FAs
    My team (16 team 10-players H2H):
Harden, Bledsoe, McConnell, Yogi, G. Harris, Fournier, RoCo, Noel, RoLo, Gobert
With all these hot pickups/stashes not really sure what to do with my team, couldn’t resist picking up Ferrell because of the upside (dropped Carroll).

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Larry: Yup, it’s getting to that time of year with some injuries, new D League guys, soon trade deadline. Lots going on!

Wow, yeah Middleton def needs to be owned. Mannnn, lots of good options that shouldnt be avail! Yeah agree with the Yogi add, I think your AST are good enough to lose McConnell for Middleton. Might get Jennings short term too, I like stashing Chriss and Zubac, but with that much on the wire, tough to stash unsure things…

  28. Jason says:
    (link)

Horford or ibaka? What do you think about trading g hill and Payton for one of em?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jason: I’ll stick with Horford. Sure, I’d do either of the two PG for either of the two C, I think any deal made there would be a win

  29. Shahed says:
    (link)

    Hey JB,

Need some advice on a trade, 12 team, 9 cat, H2H

    My Roster:
    G: Wall, Wade, Hill, Collison
    F: Griffin, Porter, James Johnson
C: AD, Gortat, Valanciunas, Plumlee, Zubac
    IL: Tyler Johnson, Jeremy Lin

I wanted to increase my 3s, I have been offered Klay, for my Collison and Gortat. What do you think, I like Gortat’s playoff schedule, and Klay could get rested. I’m currently top, he is 5.5 games behind, i’m looking to the playoffs.

    His roster is:
G: Klay, Beal, Smart, Rivers, McConnell, Middleton
    F: Kawhi, Millsap, Crowder, Markieff
C: Myler Turner, Tyson Chandler, Gibson
    IL: Embiid, Deron Williams

I was thinking of targeting Beal instead of Klay, better schedule and shouldn’t be rested, what do you think? He is my biggest rival, so I would only trade if it puts me in a better position to beat him.

    Thanks,

    • Shahed says:
      (link)

      @Shahed:

Just looking again, I don’t think I can beat him in 3s even if I get Klay of Beal, so maybe I should just stick?

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Shahed: Yeahhhh, your 3s are kinda a punt. Great %s everywhere else though. I do like trying a 2-for-1 so you can get TyJo activated, but I would go more towards the % boosters.
