All eyes were on Boogie last night, as he finally made his return from an Achilles injury and did not disappoint. He looked a little rusty, but overall gave reason for all Warriors fans to smile. He displayed the ability to hit three-pointers, as he was frequently left wide open, and made the Clippers pay. On the downside, he somehow managed to foul out in just 15 minutes, which is impressive in it’s own right and an obvious Boogie move.
DeMarcus Cousins
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
5/11 | 1/2 | 3/4 | 14 | 6 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Cousins showed up and quickly made his presence felt in this one. He’ll be up and down for a while, as he gets in shape and manages his return from injury. Still, this was very promising for Boogie and his fantasy GMs and a scary prospect for the other 29 NBA teams.
Stars Gonna Star
These stars played like we expected them to, punking their inferior opponents, and racking up the stats that build the foundation of our fantasy teams. Enjoy the ride.

Conley continued his solid top 30 play in this one, scoring efficiently and hitting 4 three-pointers. The rest of the line is pretty barren, but he’s been good and (knocks on wood) healthy this season. As long as Memphis doesn’t end up tanking, he should be good to go for your fantasy team.

Kyrie managed to shoot the same percentage (66.7) from the field, the line, and from 3. That’s probably worthy of some sort of celebration. Anyways, he continues his tear and sniffs a triple-double. He’s been surpassing expectations this season with a juicy #8 ranking in standard 9 cat leagues.

Did someone say poor efficiency? Smart answered the critics here with an uber-efficient game from the field, adding 6 three-pointers, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 4 stocks. These types of diverse lines are always lurking in Smart. This was a nice rebound after a tough stretch over the last three games.
Blake Griffin
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
10/24 | 9/11 | 3/9 | 32 | 11 | 9 | 1 | 0 | 5 |
With Drummond getting hurt in this one, Blake took over and was one assist away from messing around. Blake’s been playing well this season, helping in points, three-pointers, boards, and assists, all of which were well represented here. If Drummond remains out, he could be taking even more shots.
D’Angelo Russell
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
16/25 | NA | 8/12 | 40 | 2 | 7 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
This was an excellent answer after his last game. He led an amazing comeback against Orlando and looked like the man. The 40 points matched his career high and he’s having the best season of his career. If he can improve the efficiency, his fantasy stock would be sky high.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
7/20 | 1/1 | 1/3 | 16 | 17 | 6 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
This wasn’t an efficient line, but nobody can complain about 16/17/6. Vuc has been a beast this season and is surprising everyone with holding onto 1st round value three months into the season.

Air Gordon hurt his back but had enough time to do his damage. Hopefully he’s fine for the next one, as he has been playing well lately. The efficiency here, and so far this season have helped his fantasy value.
LaMarcus Aldridge

Without DeRozan, LMA became the man in San Antonio. He had his struggles from the field, but worked his mid-range magic and put up a very nice 25/9/4 line with 2 blocks. He’s close to top 30 value in standard 9 cat leagues.

Donovan managed 24 points in just 26 minutes, as the Jazz blew Cleveland out of the water. After a disappointing start to his sophomore season, he’s inside the top 20 over the last two weeks and looks to help out the GMs that drafted him in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Gobert dominated on defense, was extremely efficient, and even hit his free throws. He also managed some really nice counting stats to make this a dynamic double-double. This was all too easy for the big man.
Steph Curry
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
10/19 | 5/5 | 3/11 | 28 | 5 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Steph makes it look so easy. He dominated, hitting shots from every possible level, and once again, dominating the 3rd quarter. He’s surpassed most fantasy GMs expectations as the #3 player in standard 9 cat leagues. Should we really have doubted him?
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/13 | 6/9 | 2/7 | 24 | 7 | 5 | 2 | 2 | 5 |
KD has been cruising as a top 5 player this season and this was another outstanding line. The free throw shooting was kind of weird, and 5 turnovers are annoying, but KD continues to be great.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
7/18 | 11/12 | 3/8 | 28 | 9 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 4 |
With Gallo going down, it put most of the weight squarely on Tobias’ shoulders. He played well and put up a nice line, but his efforts were no match for the high octane Warriors.
Dropped the Ball
Oooof. That’s not exactly what we were hoping for. Hopefully, these guys rebound next game and your fantasy team can stay afloat.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
0/6 | 2/2 | 0/2 | 2 | 6 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 2 |
This was not the game fantasy GMs were hoping for. He’s been playing well, so just chalk this one up to an off night. He’ll be back strong in the next one.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
4/12 | 5/6 | 2/2 | 15 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 6 |
Every Cleveland game is basically a basketball travesty. The Cav’s prized rookie is getting all the opportunity, but can’t do anything besides score inefficiently. This was more of the same.
Solid and Noteworthy
These are the good performances we wanted to make note of.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/10 | NA | 2/3 | 18 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
The efficiency was nice in this one, but where are all the usual counting stats? 3 boards and 1 assist are pretty low for the dynamic big man. He’s had some good games, but has had a difficult time establishing consistent production from one game to the next. Due to the talent and depth on the Celtics squad, it can be tough to trust his role.
Justise Winslow
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/17 | 0/2 | 3/7 | 15 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 2 |
With Josh Richardson out, it was up to Winslow to carry the load. He responded by taking 17 shots, but unfortunately only hit 6 of them. Still, 15 and 9 is nothing to sneeze at. He’s been having a really good run at point guard and has been hovering around top 60 value over the last month. If you scooped him up off of waivers, you have to be feeling pretty good.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
2/6 | 2/3 | NA | 6 | 11 | 2 | 1 | 4 | 1 |
It wasn’t 20 and 24, but 6 and 11 are fine for a young big. The 4 blocks and 1 steal are what help make this line something fantasy GMs can be a little excited about.
Evan Fournier
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/16 | 3/3 | 1/2 | 16 | 8 | 3 | 4 | 0 | 2 |
The scoring, three-pointers, and decent assists have been there all season long. The 4 steals are an anomaly, but one that fantasy GMs will gladly take.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/8 | 1/1 | 2/2 | 15 | 6 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
Derrick has been a top 40 player over the last month and has been producing like I expected earlier in the season. I don’t know what those early season struggles were about, but I love what he’s been able to do recently. He did manage to have 2 costly turnovers late in the 4th, but the Spurs still pulled off the win.
Derrick Rose
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/16 | 11/11 | 0/3 | 23 | 3 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
Rose came off the bench and took the 2nd most shots for Minnesota. He was coming up big in the 4th quarter with a bunch of clutch shots, but came up way short on a 3 at the buzzer to tie it. The shooting from the field was whack, but 11/11 from the line is Harden-level stuff.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
5/9 | 4/6 | NA | 14 | 11 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 1 |
Taj put in his usual workmanlike performance. He’s only borderline standard league relevant, but 14/11/3 with 2 blocks is a line most fantasy GMs will be happy with.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
9/17 | 9/12 | NA | 27 | 7 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
You know a player is elite when a 27 point game is considered a down game. The rest of his line was subpar for him as well. Its also surprising to see that he had a team worst plus/minus of -25. Even in a perfectly fine game, he’ll bounce back nicely in the next one.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/20 | 6/8 | 2/9 | 24 | 5 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 2 |
Dame put up a quality line against New Orleans with his typical contributions in points, three-pointers, boards, and assists. He’s just outside first round value and has been his usual excellent self.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/12 | 3/3 | 1/3 | 20 | 6 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
McCollum pulled off a pretty good line, but overall this has been a very disappointing season for him. He’s had a slight dip in boards, assists, blocks, steals, and three-pointers. It’s nothing major, but enough to make him a poor value for where he was drafted in most leagues.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/13 | 3/5 | NA | 15 | 12 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 2 |
Nurk continued his run of great well-rounded lines. The percentages could be better, but getting 12 boards and 5 assists from your center is always great. He also added 2 blocks for good measure. Nurkic has been a great value and is currently hanging out in the 30’s for overall value.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
3/7 | 1/2 | 0/4 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 1 |
Apparently Draymond doesn’t need to score. Still, he pulled off the rare 7/8/9. The 3 stocks were also nice.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
7/17 | 10/10 | 0/3 | 24 | 3 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 2 |
He pulled the spin move on Klay, making him look silly in a great highlight. Efficiency from the field was not his strong suit tonight, but he needed to step up with Gallo ailing. He had good and bad moments, but overall this line is good stuff from an exciting rookie.
Heating Up
Hot streaks are always fun.
Omri Casspi
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
5/7 | NA | 2/2 | 12 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 0 |
This marks three straight double-digit scoring games. Casspi has been playing well with extra burn due to Slo-Mo’s injury. He should continue to be a solid source of three-pointers and a few extras, while bordering top 100 value.
JaMychal Green
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
4/6 | 2/2 | 2/2 | 12 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
With Gasol slumping, and Memphis now 2nd to last in the West, it’s officially Green Watch time. He’s proven to be a nice contributor in multiple categories when given the chance. He can be a triple one threat with solid points and boards. The 2 three-pointers and 3 stocks in this game are a nice sign.
Shelvin Mack
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/13 | 1/1 | 2/3 | 15 | 3 | 7 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
People always seem to forget about Shelvin Mack until he suddenly pops up on the radar producing in points, three-pointers, and assists. He had a nice one here and has been playing well with extra minutes due to Kyle Anderson’s absence.
Rudy Gay
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
9/14 | 4.5 | 0/1 | 22 | 4 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 5 |
Gay turned it up another notch after returning from injury. With DeRozan out, his usage went up and hi fantasy GMs reaped the benefits.
Ante Zizic
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
7/12 | 1/2 | NA | 15 | 10 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
With Nance and Thompson out, it was officially Zizic time! Fantasy GMs have always been intrigued by his potential, so it’s nice to see him string some solid games together. He was the lone silver lining for the Cavs in this one and is worth considering a pickup.
Jake Layman
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/14 | NA | 4/9 | 20 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
I guess Layman is now contributing. The former Terp is just a three-pointer specialist, but he certainly was hot. Surprisingly, this marks four straight double-digit games. He’s only worth looking at in very deep leagues.
Mixed Bag
Unsure if good game with bad stats or bad game with good stats…
Marc Gasol
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
1/10 | 2/2 | 0/4 | 4 | 11 | 12 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
While he’s ranked #28 overall for the season, Gasol has been slumping hard the last few weeks, with a #182 ranking over the last 2 weeks. There’s obviously some friction in Memphis, so he’s a candidate to be moved, which could hurt his fantasy value. Still, he’s a dynamic player and the 2nd best passing big in the league. The fact that he ranks so high even with this rough patch shows how good he can be.
Hassan Whiteside
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
4/6 | 0/8 | NA | 8 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 1 |
A near double-double with 2 blocks are nice, but we need to talk about those free throws. 0-for-8 is bad even for Whiteside. The improvements to his free throw shooting over the last few seasons has been completely demolished this year, where he’s hitting them at under 50%. This performance did not help.
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/17 | 6/6 | 1/6 | 23 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 3 |
This marks his 2nd straight underwhelming game after going off for 27 and 27 against the Pelicans. He also fouled out with a few minutes left in this close game, so hopefully he gets back into his groove soon.
Where did that come from?
Well that was unexpected. Nice work, but can you keep it up?
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
8/17 | 2/2 | 4/8 | 22 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 3 |
Kennard might be the best wing on this team, but his role is always fluctuating. The potential was shown here as he went for 22 and 4 three-pointers. Hopefully he can keep it going.
Royce O’Neale
FG | FT | 3PT | Points | Reb | Assists | Steals | Blocks | TO |
6/8 | NA | 4/5 | 16 | 11 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 3 |
Royce had his best game here, finally delivering on the opportunity from all of the Jazz injuries. He’s capable of some decent low-end lines and could be worth a pickup in deeper leagues, but this might be his best one for the season.
