Hello Razzball, back once again for some sweet sweet NBA DFS. DraftKings and Fanduel have been playing around with which late games to include in their main slates, so on Fanduel we have an 8 gamer and on DraftKings we have 9. I’ll be recommending some Warriors/Jazz players, but those are only on the main slate at DraftKings.

My number one piece of advice for NBA DFS in general is to be on top of injury updates. Contests are won and lost on backups becoming starters and starters getting increased usage from injuries. There will be injury plays that open up with news tomorrow that we just don’t know yet.

That being said, with our current knowledge of injury news (Tuesday night) let’s get down to it. Pricing is always (Fanduel/DraftKings). I play tournaments and my picks will always bias towards volatility and upside.

Guards

Spend ups (9k and over)

Kyrie Irving ($10,300/$9,300)

If Luka Doncic continues to be out it’s hard not to have some exposure to Kyrie. He just torched the Pelicans for 42/7/7 and will continue to get massive usage as long as Luka is out. If Luka is in you don’t play Kyrie at this price.

Middle-to-High (7k-8.9k)

Stephen Curry ($8,500)

Curry is in a great matchup and has Draymond back to help get him some easier shots. Curry’s price is down from where he usually sits, which makes him a kinda sneaky tournament option.

Immanuel Quickley ($7,500/$7,000)

I think Quickley is just underpriced for his new role and will eventually settle in the high 7s range. I’m playing him while he’s still here.

Middle (5k-6.9k)

D’Angelo Russell ($6,500/$6,000)

Russell seems to have reclaimed his starting spot and is in a nice spot with a good matchup and a deflated price.

Value Town (Under 5k)

Keyonte George ($4,600)

The rookie is most likely only going to play minutes in the low to mid 20s, but this is still a bit too cheap for him. When he’s on the court he’s highly involved and has a decent ceiling if his 3 is falling.

Forwards

Spend ups (9k and over)

Paolo Banchero ($9,200/$8,800)

Paolo is the last man alive on an incredibly injured Magic team and has been carrying a big scoring load ever since Franz Wagner went out with an ankle injury. I love this matchup against the Hawks, he has a massive ceiling if the game is close.

Middle-to-High (7k-8.9k)

Julius Randle ($8,900/$8,900)

This is only if Jalen Brunson continues to be out, Randle would lead the offense and have solid shot for a 30+ point scoring night.

Lauri Markkanen ($8,300)

Don’t look now but the Jazz have a winning record about halfway through the season and Markkanen is a huge reason why. The same cannot be said for their reeling opponent, the Warriors, who are 18-22 and cannot defend anybody. This game should be a fun back and forth affair that I want pieces of, and who better to start with than the stud on the favored team.

Middle (5k-6.9k)

Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,500/$6,400)

Once again this is only if Luka is out. THJ has been getting his shots up with no Luka, averaging 32 real life points in his last 3 games including 41 his last time out. I’ll keep riding the wave.

Value Town (Under 5k)

Andrew Wiggins ($4,900)

With Wiggins having the disaster season from hell his price is all the way in the bargain bin. The past 3 games he’s reclaimed his starting spot and played over 30 minutes with mixed results. There’s always the possibility Kerr will change the starting lineup for the 80th time, but if Wiggins has a guaranteed 30+ minutes he’s a bit too cheap here.

Cam Whitmore ($5,400/$4,500)

Whitmore has gotten on the floor more recently and put together some solid performances. The rookie may be rising up the forward pecking order and he has a very fantasy friendly game if he actually gets minutes. Only a play on DK, he’s too expensive on FD.

Centers

Spend ups (9k and over)

Anthony Davis ($11,400/$10,000)

Dallas doesn’t have anyone who can deal with Davis and he is firmly in play as a tournament option.

Middle-to-High (7k-8.9k)

Alperen Sengun ($9,000/$7,900)

Sengun is having an absolute breakout season and is way too cheap on DraftKings. He’ll still be in play on FD as a tournament option, but this seems like a straight up misprice on DK. He’ll be popular there.

Middle (5k-6.9k)

Brook Lopez ($6,800/$6,100)

Definitely not a priority play, but if I have to play a center in this range it’s him.

Value Town (Under 5k)

Jontay Porter ($4,600/$4,300)

Michael Porter Jr.’s younger brother has started the past 2 games while Jakob Poeltl has been out. His minutes are not guaranteed and his production is not incredible, but he’s cheap and has a decent ceiling if he gets the run.
