Beverly Hills is home to the stars, luxury hotels, and upscale shopping. The 90210 zip code was used as a television show. Glam, bling, and all the shiny stuff that sparkle the eyes are what reside and provide pride for those living inside. Patrick Beverley was the honorary mayor of 90210 yesterday with his performance:
PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TOV | 3PT | FG | FT |
18 | 12 | 5 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 4/7 | 5/9 | 4/6 |
Got the start and played a whopping 42 minutes. Now, Danilo Gallinari (back) Lou Williams (hamstring) did not play, so that’s the reason Beverley received the start and so much run. The injuries for both don’t sound serious, but there’s been no timetable for their returns yet, so Beverley could continue receiving elevated run over the short term. He’s a low usage player who derives much of his value from the peripheral categories. Over the past seven games, he’s been a top 115 player with averages of 28 minutes, 1.1 threeecolas, 6.3 boards, 3.4 dimes, 1 steal, and 1.1 blocks. Now, he’s normally a poor shooter from the field, like 38% poor, so don’t expect the points to flow. Because he rebounds so well and plays tough D, if he continues getting the minutes, Beverley could continue providing upscale performances while Williams and Gallinari are out.
Here’s what else I saw yesterday:

Got the start and played 24 minutes. He’s started the last eight games and has averaged 21.6 minutes, 7 points, 8.1 boards, and 1.8 blocks. Has been a top 100 player. If you need blocks, then Bismack Biyombo is your boy.

Played a team-high 37 minutes. Kemba is top 10 in usage rate at 30.4. Unfortunately, the shooting percentage has been poor over the past few weeks, as he’s barely been above 40% from the field. Still, he’s a top 25 player on the season and contributes across the board, even chipping in 0.5 blocks per game.

Turner can do it all for a big man: post up, dive to the rim, shoot from outside, and protect the rim. He’s just inconsistent. Case in point, the past four games, he’s gone 9/16, 12/3, 8/12, and 18/6. With that said, he’s #1 in blocks at 2.78 per game and is a top 30 player for fantasy.

Over the past seven games, Collison has been a top 30 player. Looks at hand and wonders why it did not press the 0 button again. Looks at stats and walks to the mirror to make sure both eyes are still in the sockets. Walks back to computer and slumps into chair and tips imaginary cap to Collison. I’m never a fan of his, but he’s been balling. Threeecolas, boards, and dimes are what he provides, but 2.4 steals per game over the past few weeks is sublime.

I’m an Oladipo believer. He’s getting the usage and shot attempts. The efficiency has been bad, but he was injured earlier. Maybe he’s still injured, but as long as he’s not hiding something, I do think he gets it turned around. But that’s just me. I get it if you want to move on from Oladipo.

Top 50 player over the past few weeks, despite averaging only 26 minutes per game. Arvydas nodding his head while saying “taip! taip!” between swigs of beer.

Played 15 minutes. Tyreke has actually scored double-digits in six straight games, despite playing only 15 minutes on the dot in three of those games. That banana in the tailpipe is looking mighty tasty. Hold me back, hold me back.

Played a team-high 43 minutes. Sooooooo close to messing around. Harris is so solid that the only thing you can talk smack about are the blocks (0.5). Top 20 player for fantasy who’s going to get piggidy paid in the offseason.

Got the start and played 29 minutes. Since returning from injury, Gay has played 22, 34, and 29 minutes. He’s been a top 80 player over that span, but was playing at a top 50 level pre-injury.

‘Twas a nice bounce back game for Warren, as he hadn’t been regulating up to his standards recently. The shooting percentage has been down near 41% and even the free throw shooting was down at 73%. Have no fear, though. Continue mounting up.

Still doesn’t contribute much on D, but the progression in boards and dimes have been a pleasant sight to see. I still don’t think he’s 100% right now, so just wait until then.

Top 50 player over the past seven games. Oubre’s been averaging 29.3 minutes, 20.3 points, 2.4 threeecolas, 6 boards, 1.7 dimes, 1.7 steals, and 0.9 blocks. The free throw shooting (65% on 5.4 attempts) is still an issue though. I guess he’s happy to be out of D. C.

Top 70 player on the year. He’s shooting 48% from the field, has a 26.8 usage rate, and is draining 1.5 threeecolas a game. Man, I miss pre-injury Rose. If y’all forgot…..
Damn, Oubre’s looking really, really good right now. How the hell is he suddenly making threes like that now?? Lol. Do you think he can sustain it? Or he’s just being streaky… Btw, do you think we should drop Giles for jamyk?
@I just wanna Kawhi: He is. Not sure he sustains the efficiency from 3, but I wouldn’t totally dismiss it. Must be the water in Phoenix. Do they even have water down there?
I’m good with the Giles for JMych move
Drop bagley or mudiay for satoranski? 8 cat and biggest needs are fg% ,steals
Yes
AyyyyO!
Mann, I lost Lonzo! Is he a hold in 12-14 teamers ? Sitting in 1st place. (No I.R spot)
The wire looks like this – Beverly, Kornet, Bamba, Bertans, Vanvleet, Mikal Bridges, J-Val, Wes Mathews, Tyreke,
Squad –
Russell/Dunn/Mudiay/Lonzo
George/Tobias/Lamb/BogBog/Saric/Osman
Embiid/Gobert/Bryant/Taj/Zubac
Go Patriots!!!!!!! (Insert GOAT emoji)
Sorry, Had to…
@Mr. Blast: AyyyyO!!!
I’d drop Lonzo. Beverley for at least a few games
Congrats to your Pats! I despise them but respect them. Good luck in the Bowl
What stats do you generally expect for Mirotic the rest of the way? I am considering getting him for the stretch, but it would cost me a high draft pick and either Millsap or Elfrid, and not sure I can catch up to make losing the pick worth it. Thanks Son.
@Mark: I don’t think he gets the same minutes pre injury. Plus, NO only plays 9 games during the playoffs
Hei Son,
Long time no hear. I got a interesting trade proposal. My baze + bam for aaron gordon. This trade will happen when/if baze and gordon are healthy. What do you think? The bottom guys on my roster are m.bridges, smart, bam. And I also have on IL spots JV and kyle andersen so anyway i will have to throw 2 on wire
Thanks!
@Ghita: Sup Ghita. Good hearing from you again. I’m not the biggest fan, but the potential of Gordon is worth the risk
@Son:
Thanks, I’m with you on this one. But first let’s see how will go with injuries
@Ghita: Sounds good
Hey Son, is there any reason to still hold on to Bjelica? It’s going from bad to worse, with 5 minutes of playing time today. There isn’t anything too attractive in FA pool, but feels like anything would be an improvement. Thanks.
@IntendedSteb: I don’t think so, but like you said, you need to find someone better.
Hey, man. I need your opinion. Now I have derrick white and Ross in my team. Bogbog, Dunn and Bojan Bogdanovic were just dropped to ww. Should drop white or ross for one of those guys?
@Max: I think you good for now.
Yo SON!
You like Zizic to take the reigns in CLE? He has been pretty legit getting run. Since my trade moving Ibaka & Mirotic I’m speculating on second half upside bigs. My list looks like:
Zizic, Giles, Zubac, Bamba (if Vuc is dealt), MRob (if Kanter and or Vonleh go)
What do you think?
@OldMilwaukeePounders: He’s got a chance and it’s worth the risk. It’s not like CLE is playing for anything. Mel just wrote up Zizic so check out his piece.
Trying a three for two with a reluctant trader. Doing so allows me to activate Rondo.
My Mirotic, Tristan and PJ Tuck for his Tatum and Aminu. NEw Orleans playoff sked vs Portland’s is a factor. Thoughts on this deal with this roster?
Ibaka, Draymond, Tristan
Tobias, OPJ, Siakam, Mirotic, Barton, PJ Tuck, Fournier
Harden, Kemba, Bledsoe, G Harris,
IR: Rondo
@JC: I don’t like the trade for you
