Is Mason Plumlee the Great White Hope? This is the second consecutive time I’ve written him up for the lede to this internationally renowned fantasy basketball blog, and y’all know how precious this real estate is. Not good enough? How about the fact that not since B-Rabbit has a white guy gotten the folks in Detroit to get up off their seats, bob their heads up and down, and raise their hands to the sky? Still not feeling it? Then how about this?

His first time messing around in his career!
https://youtu.be/c3XX_z5wZn0?t=31
On the season, Plumlee is a top 85 player. Over the last five games, though, he’s been a top 35 player, primarily due to averaging more than six more minutes than the season average of 27.7 minutes. He’s averaged 14.8 points, 10.4 boards, 5.2 dimes, one steal, and one block!! He’s shooting 66% from the field and 66% from the line! He’s obviously not going to continue this level of production but rebounds, dimes, defensive stats, and excellent field goal percentage should be mainstays all season long.
Here’s what else I saw last night:

Is this the beginning of the end when Jayson breaks through the floor and goes from A-list player to B or even C, depending on the velocity and gravitational forces at play, like brother-from-another-mother Channing? C’mon man!!! Shit happens and it was just one of those games in which foul trouble and fowl shooting contributed to a poor performance. I’m sensing a little too much Valentine nookie.
In fact, too much nookie for the entire squad as they let Washington look like Wizards with a 104-91 victory. Amazingly, only two players scored in double figures for the CeLtics.

Crazy. Scoop him up if so because he’s garnering a usage rate of close to 29, will play over 30 minutes at some point, dishes out dimes, and will chuck up 15 shots per game. That ain’t bad, yo.

JINX! I said it first. So cute that Kemba and Jaylen wore matching stat lines on Valentine’s Day. Smooch smooch. Over the last six games, Brown has been outside the top 100, as the turnovers have ticked up, the field goal percentage has gone down, and the steals have dissipated somewhat. I wouldn’t jump off a bridge of anything. He’ll be fine and should finish the season as a top 40 player.

Wagner is intriguing because he can stretch the floor, grab some rebounds, and contribute a little something something in the defensive stats. Maybe it was for the best so he couldn’t ruin your percentages more than he already did. My alter ego NOS would like to interject and say that he already F’d your percentages so it doesn’t really matter so counting stats are all we want. True, alter ego, true. Ingram is a top 35 player. That’s where he finished last season and is where he will likely finish this season. After a dramatic rise from two years ago, how much higher can he go? *cough cough* Yo, coach. I can go as high as you want me to go. *cough cough* The last frontier for improvement is in the steals department, as he’s at 0.6 on the season. If he can be a 1/1/1 player, then top 25 is attainable.

The 30 minutes were an encouraging sign because Willy Hernangomez was getting consistent minutes. What’s it all mean? Meh, as Adams is barely a top 200 player. Over the last four games, Bey has averaged 26.1 minutes, 17.8 points, four tres, 5.5 boards, two dimes, and 0.8 steals while shooting 71% from the field and 71% from the line. In 25 minutes off the bench. I’ve always like Svi because he has size and can shoot. *Squints at stats* 39% field goal percentage. Stats are stupid. Fine, he’s inconsistent, but the main issue is the inconsistent role and playing time. He’s played 25 and 21 minutes the last three games but then played nine minutes the game before. Iblocka is back!!! Points, boards, blocks, and good percentages. Sounds like Allen. The only difference is that Ibaka is more perimeter-oriented.
Lou Williams

Got the start because both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were out. I thought Lou was full-on tart but he’s bounced back with plenty of sweetness. Over the last three games, he’s been a top 20 player and top 50 over the past seven games. The usage rate sky rockets with both Kawhi and PG off the floor.
Marcus Morris

I thought I saw a puddy cat. I did! I did! Psych. It’s just Morris who has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games. Shocker. He’s averaging 24 minutes per game on the season and can provide points and tres with some boards. Don’t expect the D on the regular like last night. I saw a puddy cat. I did! I did!
