Oh yeah! Big Bad Blake, the Earthquake Griffin is the first player to get highlighted twice by me this year! Clap it up! I really wanted to give the lede to anyone else, but no-one else’s line came close to what Blake did last night. Blake Griffin went 5-44-8-5-3-1-4 on 13-of-23 shooting and 13-of-14 FTs as Detroit topped the Clippers 109-104. Detroit inches closer to that highly coveted 8th seed in the East, and Blake is licking his chops at the prospect of a seven-game series with the Raptors. I had to shoutout Blake for bringing the defensive stats last night for once. It was his first block in the last six games so I wouldn’t get used to this level of elite blocks production.

A lot went down last night so let’s dive on in to the daily notes!

Andre Drummond– 20-21-0-3-1-3 on 8-of-13 shooting and 4-of-5 from the line. His seventh 20-20 game of the season. The assists seem to have dried up a bit, as the 3.0 from last year has dropped to 1.2, which I’m guessing is due to a full season playing next to Blake Griffin.

Reggie Bullock– 5-17-7-4-1-0-1 on 6-of-14 shooting. Reggie says “Bullocks to shooting 2-pointers” in a British accent.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander– 7-1-4-1-0-2 on 3-of-7 shooting and made his lone FT. Yeah, I’m moving on from him in 12-ers for now. The Clippers seem to be in contention for a playoff spot, so Doc may not want to spend time developing a rookie. Played a season low 17 minutes.

Tobias Harris– 2-11-10-2-2-1-3 on 4-of-9 shooting and 1-for-2 from the line. Be more aggressive!  Nine shots? That’s a weak Saturday night…

Montrezl Harrell– 21-9-6-1-4-2 on 8-of-14 shooting and 5-of-6 FTs. He’s having a real breakout year averaging only 25 minutes. I could only imagine his numbers if he got 30.

Jaren Jackson Jr.– 1-13-5-2-3-2-1 on 5-of-8 shooting and 2-for-2 FTs. After two games where he struggled with fouls, he was able to log 28 minutes last night and rack up some D stats.

Mike Conley– 3-22-2-7-3-0-2 on 7-of-15 shooting and 5-of-6 FTs. He’s quietly having one of his best seasons as a pro and is a top 30 player for fantasy.

Marc Gasol– 1-15-5-5-1-2-1 on 7-of-15 shooting with nary a FT. He was on the Marc again last night. That’s two nice games in a row. Let’s keep it going!

Kyle Anderson– Left after eight minutes due to an ankle sprain, but it doesn’t appear too serious. He should return in a game or two.

JaMychal Green– 1-24-11-0-1-0-1 on 8-of-11 shooting and 7-of-8 from the line in just 22 minutes off the bench. Green took advantage of Anderson’s absence and had himself a big night. He’s fringe ownable in 12-ers.

Justin Holiday– Played 16 minutes and scored 2 points. Man, has anyone’s fantasy value ever been killed more by a trade? I know he’s on a better team, but I kind of feel bad for the guy.

Justise Winslow– 4-26-7-4-1-0-2 on 10-of-16 shooting and made both FTs. He’s another guy having a breakout year. His poor FT% and TOs hold him back a bit though.

Bam Adebayo– 11-10-2-2-1-3 on 3-of-6 shooting and 5-of-7 from the line. With Hassan Whiteside out, Bam has had a nice stretch of games.

Josh Richardson– 1-14-6-9-2-0-1 on 4-of-11 shooting and 5-of-6 FTs. Almost got the dime bag, and he’s been a nice value for where he was drafted.

Derrick Jones Jr.- 1-11-5-0-2-1-1 on 4-of-10 shooting and 2-for-4 from the line in 18 minutes off the bench. He’s an enigma to me as he’ll disappear on some nights, and he recently got a DNP-CD, so add at your own risk.

Al Horford– 10-11-4-4-1-2 on 5-of-10 shooting. Al was getting kind of handsy last night! I want to say that was his season-high in steals. *Double-checks* Yes, it was.

Gordon Hayward– 8-2-3-0-0-0 on 3-of-9 shooting and 2-of-5 FTs in 25 minutes off the bench. Maybe next year will be his year.

Aaron Gordon– 1-28-12-2-0-1-6 on 7-of-14 shooting and 13-of-13 FTs. See what happens when you practice your free throws? AG was All Good from the line last night.

Terrence Ross– 5-25-4-2-1-0-1 on 8-of-20 shooting and 4-for-4 FTs. He’s consistently inconsistent, but will get you multiple 3’s more often than not.

Nikola Vucevic– 16-13-5-0-0-4 on 7-of-18 shooting and 2-of-4 FTs. He’s such a beast, that this was an off-night for him.

Anthony Davis– 2-30-14-2-0-1-3 on 10-of-22 shooting and 8-of-9 FTs. Ditto for AD.

Julius Randle– 22-11-3-0-0-2 on 7-of-13 shooting and 8-of-10 FTs. He actually gets less combined blocks and steals than Blake Griffin…

Nikola Mirotic– 1-9-6-0-0-3-0 on 3-of-8 shooting and 2-for-2 from the line in 27 minutes off the bench. This was just his second game back from a lengthy absence, so you know what to chalk it up to.

Jrue Holiday– 25-6-7-0-2-3 on 12-of-22 shooting and made his only FT. He’s really moved up the PG rankings the last two years. He’s getting huge minutes and has a lot of finishers to pass to, so he’s in a great situation. Also, I’m pretty sure he originated that Jimi Hendrix-Style head band look in the NBA, so kudos to him.

E’Twaun Moore– 2-3-2-2-0-2 on 1-of-6 shooting in 31 minutes. First game back after missing the last two. Chalk it up! He’s still a borderline add in 12-ers.

Elfrid Payton– 2-10-3-6-3-1-2 on 3-of-6 shooting and 2-for-2 FTs. He just puts up solid numbers, but has high turnovers. The FT% has been a nice surprise.

Karl-Anthony Towns– 3-27-27-3-2-4-3 on 10-of-23 shooting and 4-of-6 FTs. Okay, KAT probably should have been the lede, but Son already gave it to him this week. Had the monstrous rainbow line with the rare 27-27 game.

Josh Okogie– 1-17-5-2-1-0-1 on 6-of-14 shooting and 4-of-5 FTs. Someone to keep an eye on with Saunders as the new HC in Minnesota. His minutes have been way up.

Derrick White– 1-8-7-4-0-3-4 on 3-of-8 shooting and 1-of-4 FTs. Off on the shooting, but he’s a nice producer in the defensive categories. For all the Green’s in the league, there’s only one Mr. White. And it’s Harvey Keitel.

Dennis Schroder– 19-1-6-4-0-0 on 8-of-17 shooting and 3-of-4 FTs. He’s been a solid player if you took him in the later rounds and works as a nice handcuff for Westbrook.

Russell Westbrook– 1-24-10-7-2-0-4 on 9-of-24 shooting and 5-for-5 FTs. In Russ we trust! Nice rebound on the FTs to mix basketball metaphors.

Paul Millsap– 10-11-2-2-1-2 on 4-of-12 shooting and 2-of-5 FTs. He’s been a slight disappointment on the year especially with the injury, but the D stats are there. Nuggets just have so many mouths to feed, the usage is pretty low.

Nikola Jokic– 1-23-10-4-0-1-2 on 8-of-15 shooting and 6-for-7 from the line. He’s killing me with this 5-game week… Why do I run into the proverbial buzzsaw every week? Why do all the bad things happen to me and me only?

Malik Beasley– 5-21-1-1-0-0-2 on 8-of-14 shooting in 40 minutes as a starter. He’s having a nice year, but if Isaiah Thomas ever comes back, he might lose all his minutes.

Josh Jackson– 1-15-4-5-1-1-2 on 6-of-18 shooting and made both FTs. Started and got 31 minutes. Could he be finding his rhythm? I’m skeptical, but he’s worth an add to see if he can sustain something.

De’Anthony Melton– 2-3-10-4-1-2 on 0-of-7 shooting and 2-for-2 from the line. I really like this guy, but he’s going to lose minutes when Devin Booker comes back from his back soreness. Hopefully, he can sustain some minutes because the D stats are incredible.

Kelly Oubre Jr.- 4-26-11-3-2-1-3 on 9-of-17 shooting and 4-of-6 FTs.  Hasn’t been the impact player I thought he would be since the trade to Phoenix, but he’s strung together three nice games in a row.

Jabari Parker– 1-11-7-2-0-0-0 on 5-of-10 shooting in 19 minutes off the bench. Showcase game? This is only the second game played in January.

Kris Dunn– 10-5-8-3-2-2 on 4-of-11 shooting and 2-for-2 FTs. Near-rainbow line, but missed his only three-point attempt. He’s seems a little under-appreciated to me. He’s averaging 6.8 assists on the year.

Zach LaVine– 2-21-3-1-3-1-1 on 7-of-21 shooting and 5-of-6 FTs. If he got D stats like this on the daily, his poster would be on every kid’s wall in Chicago. Also, his turnovers are too damn high!

Royce O’Neale– 2-8-11-4-1-2-0 on 3-of-8 shooting in 37 minutes. When he gets minutes Royce Rolls. Obviously, he’d still be low end, because this was in 37 minutes.

Rudy Gobert– 15-16-8-1-2-5 on 5-of-6 shooting and 5-of-9 from the stripe. The turnovers are surprising, but he was dishing it out last night as well as giving it away.

Donovan Mitchell– 4-34-6-6-0-2-2 on 11-of-24 shooting and 8-of-10 from the line. Mitchell and Yess!

Marvin Williams– 1-6-8-2-2-3-0 on 2-of-9 shooting and made his lone FT. One three-pointer away from the one of the quietest rainbow lines of all time. Starvin’ Marvin is just a solid low-end player, who won’t wow you, but will fill in the blanks for your team.

Nicolas Batum– 3-13-9-5-2-1-2 on 4-of-6 shooting and 2-of-3 FTs. He’s been underwhelming this season, but looks to have finally put together some semblance of rhythm.

Bismack Biyombo– 4-10-1-0-3-1 on 2-of-3 shooting in 25 minutes. Bismack attack! He could be a decent source of boards and blocks while Cody Zeller is out.

Kemba Walker– 3-31-1-4-1-0-6 on 11-of-24 shooting and 6-of-8 FTs. Straight Red Label Walker last night. Probably, the worst one, but it will still definitely get you drunk.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist– 1-11-7-0-0-3-1 on 5-of-10 shooting. Damn, Hornets passed on Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, and Andre Drummond for this guy… Pretty much all their picks besides Kemba have been horrible to mediocre. C’mon MJ. Tighten up.

Willie Cauley-Stein– 12-12-4-2-1-1 on 6-of-11 shooting and managed to avoid the free throw line. Big Willie Style getting Jiggy wit It! One of the great hip-hop albums of the 90’s. Please tell me the Kings are going to Miami for their next game! They are not.

De’Aaron Fox– 1-21-7-4-3-1-2 on 6-of-15 shooting and 8-of-9 FTs. Fox or Doncic? Fox for me. Too bad one will be in the All-Star game and one won’t. Kings just never get any attention.

Buddy Hield– 5-21-4-3-0-0-2 on 8-of-21 shooting. He’s third in the league in 3’s per game. Just remember that for next year.

Bogdan Bogdanovic– 4-22-6-2-0-0-4 on 9-of-17 shooting. He has been really reckless with the ball lately, but he’s putting up pretty solid late-round value.

Marvin Bagley III– 1-11-9-0-1-1-0 on 5-of-13 shooting and 0-for-3 from the line. He should be able to get you some boards and blocks while boosting your FG% so go add him if he was dropped.
