Man… It just hasn’t been the best few years for Kris Humphries…  The divorce.  The loss of a starting job.  Traded as a dump to Boston.  But he’s actually been a pretty decent fantasy player lately, including getting a surprise starting nod last night, fairly under-the-radar.  Unfortunately, none-a-dat-matters when watching last night’s game!  Man, talk about lucking out with the games I got this week, as I had Yahoo highlights for the Celtics at Clippers, and the now-infamous “Welcome to my Poster” dunk.  Just dirty from Blake Griffin.  If you didn’t see where I cut the highlight, right after Ralph Lawler says “over, and over, and over…” it cuts back to Humphries who gives the easiest to lip read F bomb you could imagine.  Hilarious!  I lost my cookies all over the office.  I shoulda put “And-one” on the highlight too, but my face melted.  Getting back to fantasy, Blake can have his own poster this year, producing at a great rate and a great pick even for the unknowledgable NBA fan in your league who reached for him for the highlights.  As I mentioned a month or so back, Griffin has been really good this year capped off with a 29/6/8/2/0/highlight of the year line last night.  He showed us why fantasy hoops is underrated in the fantasy community.  It beats football by actually requiring skill and not small-sample luck, and gives us the best highlights to shove it in the face of baseball.  “Oh look, I had Ryan Howard on my team and he actually hit a homer, look at this moon shot!”  “Pssshhhh, I had Blake in today and look at him murder Kris Humphries!”  (full disclaimer I love fantasy baseball).  Enjoy the ride if you nabbed Blake.  Here’s what else happened last night in the NBA:

Jared Sullinger –  Benched.  For Humphries.  Which actually might be a good thing for his ego, or else it mighta been him on the receiving end of Blake’s banger!  Only 12 minutes last night and wasn’t good.  In most 10-team or 12-team leagues you can probably cut bait, but I do think he gets back into the starting line-up and produces decently in a few weeks.

Avery Bradley – Looked pretty good out there.  24/2/6/2/0 shooting 10-18 with a trey.  Double figures in Pts in 4 straight and 4+ boards in 11 of 12 games.  Consistency alert!  I was shocked at how many leagues he’s owned in at 64% on Yahoo.  Which actually sounds like what it should be, with me thinking it would be in the 30s.  This news bulletin brought to you by the Superfluous Department of Overseeing Redundancy Control!

Jordan Crawford – Also played well, and almost tried to fight Blake Griffin after he barreled into him on a hard offensive foul and Blake scissored his legs.  Scissor me!  24/2/8/2/0 for his best game in a while.  Worth shooting him out there for some trade offers; Rajon Rondo is still a possibility at some point to eat into some minutes.

Jeff Green – His first double-double on the year!  15/11/1/0/0.  He’s been so frustrating…

Brandon Bass – If I gave you a million tries, you would never guess who had the most dunks in the Celtics/Clippers game.  Never in a million years!  Well, I guess saying that now in Bass’ blurb gives it away… He has at least 5 if not all 6 FGs come on dunks for a multi-cat 14/5/2/1/1 game.  I’m not a huge Bass guy, I like salmon.  But he’s had a good year.

Jamal Crawford – I knew he was chuckin’ em, but 26 shots?!  Get this guy a heat check!  Before the game, he turned to the team and was like, “My name tonight is Chucky… Wanna playyyyyy?”  26/2/5/2/0 with three treys, killin’ ya at 8-26 shooting.  But you love the counting stats and 6+ dimes in the past three.

Darren Collison – A very usable line of 15/5/6/1/0 shooting 4-9 (2-3 3PTM 5-5 FT).  Looked very solid, and the Clippers still looked like a tough team without Chris Paul.  Given it was against the Celtics and tree-feet Humphries, but whatever!

Jared Dudley – Rainbow line!  18/2/3/4/2.  I just love me some rainbows, but hate me some Dudley.  Borrrrrrrring.

Marco Belinelli – As was assumed, no Manu Ginobili last night with a bum hammy, so Marco gave ya 17/1/3 shooting 6-9 with 2 treys.  Solid ThrAGNOF until Manu is back.

Dallas Mavericks – Terrible game.  DeJuan Blair led the team in rebounds with 6.  Gal Mekel in assists with 5 in 10 bench minutes.  Sure the minutes were spread as it was a blowout from the get go, but man, rough game for your Mavs.  Mark Cuban might feed a few em to his pets in his own Shark Tank.  I imagine it’ll go just like Ace Ventura.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – Got a new nickname for him.  I need your votes in the comments to pass it.  “Infallible!”  As in, the Pope is in infallible!  I think that’s pretty sick.  6-8 FG (1-1 3PTM) for a solid 13/3/2/4/0 line in 30 minutes.  I loved him heading into the year, but I think Slim might even like him more than me now.  Another reason infallible works so well is – as I’ve mentioned a few times – how monumentally infrequent he turns the ball over.  One last night to bring his season total to 14!  14 TOs in 815 minutes.  0.4 a game from a starting guard.  Nice games in 3 of the past 4 and starting to creep into deep 12-team league consideration.

Rodney Stuckey – Returned from a shoulder injury, but you can’t expect him to outplay the infallible!  20 minutes for 14/1/2/0/1 shooting 4-13.  I’ve said numerous times I’m not a big Stuckey guy, and think you can pass on him in shallow leagues.

DeMar DeRozan – Whoa, Wichita State!  We have a shocker!  Rainbow line from one of the most hated non-multi-cat producers going 19/6/4/2/2.  Killed your FG% going 3-15, but 13-16 from the stripe and a great overall line.  The DD got ya home safe tonight!

Lance Stephenson – Sat out with a bad knee and might miss tomorrow’s game as well.  Ruh roh.  Especially with seeing Danny Granger get a start and able to play 33 minutes.  14/5/3/1/1 from our fantasy ex-boyfriend.  I’m not rushing to grab Granger, but he needs to be owned in anything bigger than 12-team.  55% on Yahoo should cover most of those leagues.

Mike Scott – Borderline criminal his light usage.  Had a flash of nice minutes when DeMarre Carroll got hurt, but only 17 minutes last night for 15/4/1 shooting 5-9 (1-2 3PTM 4-4 FT).  Can drive and draw contact, hit threes, rack up a few boards – if Carroll gets hurt again or lord forbid something happens to Paul Millsap, Mike Scott would vault into near must-own for me.  I love him so.

Marcin Gortat – Break up the Wizards!  Good to see the Ten Foot Pole get two straight games of 30+ minutes after getting benched for most of the 2nd half 2 games ago.  And a beauty of a 11/14/1/2/2 line last night, despite shooting 3-10.

Trevor Ariza – Nice bounce back game.  2014 wasn’t Trevor’s friend up until last night.  21/10/2 with 2 treys.

Jan Vesely – After mentioning he had two solid multi-cat games in a row, 6-8 FG for 12/7/0/0/1 last night in another 23 minutes.  Interesting guy that should be out there even in the deepest of leagues.  Even if he is an incarnate of JaVale McGee…  Awkward and can’t shoot FTs…

Jrue Holiday – Man, brutal stretch from Jrue.  Think it’s just a bottom of a fluctuating curve.  Buy low.  I have Jeff Green, unfortunately, in one league still after dealing him everywhere else.  Seeing if I can swindle a 1-for-1.

Andray Blatche (Slim) vs. Tristan Thompson (JB) – Blatche went for 17/5/3/1/0 shooting 6-13 and 5-6 FT last night.  Not a great start for me and my solo-cat player.  Blatche got 25 minutes, which I actually think will be well above his average here on out.  TT didn’t play last night, but we’ll keep this epic throwdown going through the rest of the year.

Joe Johnson – Had been absolutely brutal for 5 straight games, but now 20+ Pts in 2 straight sans Deron Williams.  Johnson is owned in too many leagues, so he’s probably not a guy to rush and grab unless Deron suffers a bad setback and will be out for weeks.

Jodie Meeks – Much rather Meeks over Johnson.  21/3/2/2/0 with two treys last night and a boosting 9-10 FT.

Terrence Jones – Had a Tristan Thompson night!  15/13/0/0/0.  Slammed a great alley from James Harden though.  I had that as my first game, and man, was awesome.

Kendall Marshall – His shot looked awful.  As I mentioned before, I was surprised he was hitting multi-3s since becoming a starter, and was back to only getting one last night, shooting 2-13 from the field.  Decent 5/5/8/1/0 line but 6 TOs and terrible FG%.  Why I said Collison!

Wesley Johnson – Decent.  10/4/3/3/0 with two treys.  Going to keep getting big run with no Shawne Williams and Doh-toni not wanting to play Jordan Hill.  Be sure Johnson is owned in your deep leagues.

Nicolas Batum – Man.  I said to buy him low if he had a bad game or two with the cast on his finger if his owner was panicked, and Batum couldn’t even do that!  14/10/14/1/1 with two treys in a great trip-dub.  Break more of his fingers!  Maybe he can go quad-dub!

C.J. McCollum – Made his NBA debut last night.  He has been highly lauded out of the draft before breaking his foot, and the fact he’s immediately in the bench rotation for a top-tier Western Conference team shows you the faith they have in him.  2-5 FG 4/2/0/1/0 in 15 debut minutes.  Be sure he’s owned in deep dynasties.

Victor Oladipo – Back into the starting line-up with Nikola Vucevic out with a concussion and shuffling everyone up a spot starting with Big Baby at the 5 and getting RainbOladipo to the 2.  14/2/2/2/1 with a three, nearly getting his namesake.  Your buy low window may be shut.

Next Game:  TNT Overtime baby!  Be sure to check out the game online to see my highlights on there, and I’ve got normal Yahoo highlights for OKC @ DEN.  Only two games tomorrow, so if you have a player you’re not liking, start to stream!  Lots of possible ThrAGNOFs out there to boost your treys.
