Last week we were talking and admiring Nikola Jokic and one of his latest great passes and today we have another, let’s say similar one from Lamelo Ball against the Knicks.
All that just to fuel Josh Hart’s jokes about Jalen Brunson having a big head, which I;m sure was the all the talk in the locker room after the game. Wonder how many times during a game you could theoretically do this intentionally and get away with it. Not that I will try it the next time we play pickup. Not at all…
Regarding last week’s suggestions, Saddiq Bey is having a real run since my recommendation, scoring 18, 21, 22 and 22 points in the last 4 and ranking 34th in per game value for that span and will continue to provide value as Zion Williamson is again sidelined. Make sure he is not in a any waiver wires. The other buy suggestions in Peyton Watson and Noah Clowney both continued to thrive, so I can say I’m pretty happy with last week’s picks and that includes the Sell high suggestion of Kel’el Ware, who played 22 and 17 minutes with a healthy Miami roster. You can still hold him, but the window to cash in on him was last week.

Kevin Porter Jr: PAOK and Greek Basketball League legend Kevin Porter Jr made his return from injury, only to suffer back spasms, but showed us enough to convince us to not leave him available in any league. He may not play today as he is questionable, but the opportunity is too good to pass up if you can scoop him up so check your leagues waiver wire and move accordingly (45% owned).
Jay Huff: Do you need blocks with some triples sprinkled in there ? Then look no further than Jay Huff, who is the current starting center in the Indiana Pacers merry go round at the 5 spot. The difference with the other centers is that he is actually producing so he can be that small cutting edge you need to win the blocks category in your weekly matchup (26% owned).
Tre Jones & Ayo Dosunmu: That’s a package deal from the Chicago Bulls, generated from the short term absences of Coby White and Kevin Huerter who should miss a few games and that creates good streaming opportunities for both Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu for lower end guard stats with 3 more games remaining this week (22% owned and 23% owned).

John Collins: Something is not right in the Clippers, who have started the season 5-16, just released Chris Paul in his last year before retirement and frankly they just look off. John Collins is not the main culprit but has contributed to the disappointing season, averaging career lows pretty much across the board with 18.9 usage and positive contribution in only the turnovers category. The opportunity continues to be there but with a per game value of 211, he is not worth the headache, until proven otherwise (78% owned).
