Damn, what a game in Miami!  There’s a sentence I wouldn’t have thought I’d say in 2017…  Dion Waiters playing like an absolute boss and is 100% must own!  Ditto…

Capping off an unbelievable game for Waiters (33/5/4/1/0 on 13-20 shooting with 6 treys), was this game-winning trey that will likely be the Heat’s biggest shot this season.

Take that, 14-15’s NBA title-winning Warriors!  Revenge is a dish best served 1.5 years cold!  Crazy win in Miami for the upset, and giving Waiters an encore of his career-high 33-points against the Bucks with a matching effort.  I obviously don’t think he’s going to become a 30+ point scorer here on out, but the opportunity is there for him to jack up his shots.  Absolutely add him everywhere – even if he is a hot ThrAGNOF – then if he goes ice cold, you just drop him!  Why threes ain’t got no face!  He should chip in a couple dimes as well, but even after a high-volume 25-39 FG back-to-back set, he’s still barely over 40% shooting from the field this season, and he’s a terrible FT shooter (65.2%).  Coupled with 2+ TO a game, and he’s pretty metrics-unfriendly.  I would still add him everywhere, which I tried to do yesterday, until Slim decided to be an absolute tool and beat me to it while recording the Pod yesterday.  Well, joke’s on you Slim, you missed this game last night because it’s Daily – Tomorrow in the RCL!

What an incredible night in the NBA last night with two huge game-winners in the final seconds, plus for a little Razzball-specific incredibleness, we’ve got a huge announcement coming this week!  Let’s just say it involves fortune-telling and amazingness…  That’s right, we hired Miss Cleo!  Wait, I think it’s “too soon” to make that joke…  Anywho, here’s what else happened last night in fantasy basketball action:

Markieff Morris – Doesn’t quite spread the keefe crystals over his full line, but 23/8/2/0/0 will still work, especially when he’s 8-13 from the field with 2 treys and 5-5 FT.  What a high-powered run lately!

Cody Zeller – I feel like Slim and I have had to fight for him a little bit in the comments at times, but rainbowing it up last night!  13/9/2/3/2 on 4-7 shooting with 5-5 FT.  Hate the 2 TO, but typically a fun, little 9-cat source!  Maybe his new name should be midget cat lady…

Marvin Williams – The Wiz beating the Hornets was kinda a boring game for fantasy, but nice to see some D stats from Starvin’ Marvin, going 13/8/4/2/1 with a trey and no TO.

Austin Rivers – “Daddy!  Daddy!  I didn’t like playing guard, let me play forward again!”  27/4/6/0/0 with 5 treys in a pretty good outing, but 4 TO and no D stats.  I mean, it’s fine, you can own daddy’s boy for right now.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute – Sometimes boring, defense-first guys peak in the D stats!  12/7/1/2/4, but not much to see here…

Raymond Felton – I still would likely roster Felton over Rivers (unless points were your only need), as Roly Poly went 14/5/3/0/0 on 6-13 shooting with 2 treys.  Obviously Rivers had the better line last night, but I actually trust Ray Ray a little bit.  And not just to be sure I don’t have too many leftovers…

Kent Bazemore – Woooooo, it’s finally coming together!  Glad I stuck by my man here!  25/3/2/2/0 with 3 treys on 9-21 shooting.  Meanwhile, Tim Hardaway Jr. had a down game of 3/2/4/1/0 on 1-6 shooting with no treys.  ThrAGNOF!  Move on!

Paul Millsap – Rainbow alert!  19/8/7/2/2 with no TO and 2 treys.  Alongside 7-8 FT, the only cat he hurt was 5-16 from the field.  That smothering Mbah a Moute D!

Garrett Temple – Another start at SF and yawwwwwwwwwwwwwn.  11/3/4/1/0 with a trey in 34 minutes.

Darren Collison – Gets the start, but only 26 minutes of 12/4/3/1/0 (albeit on a mad efficient 4-5 FG 2-2 3PTM 2-2 FT) with Ty Lawson going off for 19/3/6/1/0 and no TO.  God, I hate this dumb PG mix.  Hurts me right to the SAC!

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – My addiction is back!  Look out unsuspecting strangers, I’m about to go all bath salts on ya through the streets!  14/5/4/3/1 with no TO.  No fear with that bum shoulder on D!  Did only shoot 4-14 including 1-8 from deep, but a little expected as he shakes off the rust.

Jon Leuer – 15/4/4 with 3 treys in his second game back from a knee strain.  Meh, I think it’s still a littler richer than what you’d expect, so still not a must-own in 12ers or anything for me.

Steph Curry – Weird game for the Dubs (obviously, since they lost to Miami), with Chef going 21/10/8/0/1.  10 rebounds and a block with no steals?!  Who is he, Hassan Jr.?!

Hassan Whiteside – Man, he’s not looking all that different than say, a Tyson Chandler lately.  Where’s the beef?!  Where’s the blocks at?!  Burn!  10/15/0/2/1 with 3 TO on 4-13 shooting with 2-5 FT.  You’d expect him to come up with an epic line – in a big Heat win – against a team with Zaza Pachulia as their only true big man, but nooooooooope!  Hassan tune out like Hassan do!

Kyle Anderson – Got the start at SF with Rotoworld astutely reporting Kawhi Leonard was getting a DNP for “hand, Nets”.  Hah!  14/3/3/1/2 with no TO for Slo Mo, who could be a fun little streamer as the Spurs go on DNP-fests later on.

David Lee – Brought off the bench so they could start Dewayne Dedmon and play a bigger C…  Hmmmm….  15/7/2/1/0 for Lee in a decent enough line yet again, but I still think it’s kinda boring, with guys like MKG, Leuer, etc. all to consider for streaming instead.

Patty Mills – Wasn’t really in a slump, just got another game of extra minutes for 20/3/2 and 4 treys.  All hail the Mess!

Dejounte Murray – Couldn’t quite keep it going as he fills in for Tony Parker (foot), going 4/6/3/0/0 with 2 TO in another spot start.  But not like the Spurs didn’t win this handily though…

Trevor Booker – Rough game across the board for Brooklyn (as you would expect against SA), with Booker continuing to look unownable for 9/4/0/0/0 and a TO in only 19 minutes.  See comment above on D Lee…

Isaiah Whitehead – Your lone bright spot, going 19/1/3 in 29 minutes.  Ain’t much to see here though…

LeBron James – Tripdub alert!  26/10/12/2/0, but the Cavs lost to…  The Pelicans last night?!?!?!  Crazy game, as Kevin Love still did Love things (22/16/6) and Kyrie Irving went absolutely ham for 49 points!  What happened here!?  Blame it on the D, I guess…

Terrence Jones – A big block late on Bronny Bron, but that was only the tip of the iceberg.  What a game from Tjones!  Blame the loss on Tristan Thompson defense, I guess!  Filling in for Anthony Davis (quad), Jones made a big step forward in getting a nice payday next year, going 36/11/1/2/3 on 13-18 FG (3-4 3PTM 7-10 FT).  I had to double-check I wrote that right, three different times!  Hell of a way to kick off the week if you held onto Tjones through the turbulence, but while Brow is Mr. Glass, he should be back soon.  Maybe you try to sell high off this game – perhaps to the Brow owner directly.

Jrue Holiday – Head #2 in the two-headed, giant-slayer last night, going an absurd 33/6/10/3/2 on 12-19 FG (4-7 3PTM 5-5 FT).  If you owned Tjones/Jrue/Waiters, you got an unbelievable start to week 14, amiright?!  Jrue’s been a little blah lately, so nice to see a big game.

Donatas Motiejunas – With no Brow and Tjones starting, got a little extended look for 14/4/1/1/1.  Not like Tjones is much more durable than Brow, so if he were to have another injury, maybe you start considering a spec add.

Kristaps Porzingis – Hey, the Poppycockers won a game!  Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose did their usual scoring-things, but it was a pretty down game for the Goose, who still looks a little grounded coming off the Achilles.  8/4/0/1/1 with 3 TO in only 25 minutes due to fouling out.  Poison Goose pulled a Romeo & Juliet and swallowed some of his own poison!  I think he’ll be fine…

Willy Hernangomez – Every night, it’s either a Willy or a KOQ coming big off the Poppycockers bench!  You never know which one!  14/10/2/1/2, but yeah, could be KOQ with 25 minutes next time out and a Willy DNP…  “Mama said life is like a box of Poppycockers – you never know what Willy or KOQ you’re gonna get!”  Good thing a puerile loser like me didn’t write Forrest Gump

Joakim Noah – A big reason we got a lot of Willy was Joakim doing some “smelling the fart acting” when he shot this FT!

Dear lord!  Only got 11 minutes, for the best reason to bench a guy ever…  Wow…

Paul George – Did his best to try and avoid this horrible, no good, very bad loss to the Poppycockers, going 31/7/3/1/0 with 3 treys.

Myles Turner – Turning into a consistent rock, going 22/10/0/0/2 on 8-12 shooting and 6-6 FT.  Overall, the Pacers shot 7-26 from deep though…  Should’ve pounded that Willy inside!  Ok, ok, I’m done 🙂

Patrick Beverley – All the ingredients were here for another easy Houston win, but they lost by 13 to Milwaukee!  Well, I guess Eric Gordon only scoring 9 with 4 TO is a little bit of an issue…  18/0/3/1/0 for Pbev with 4 treys…

Sam Dekker – After the big weekend breakout, Ryan Anderson made it back to the court donning a diaper last night, and held Dekker to only 4 points and a rebound in 16 minutes…  Bleh.

Clint Capela – 22 minutes and 16 points, hitting 2-3 FT.  No blocks, but otherwise great to see.  Nene got the 22 minutes this time off the bench, limiting Montrezl Harrell to only 4 minutes, which makes sense with a big body against ya in the 2nd unit in Greg Monroe.  Nene was solid too, for 17/7/1/1/2.  Fear the grey dreads!  Nene should totally become a pirate…

Jabari Parker – Kept periscope off in the locker room this time, and got a nice 39 minute start of 28/8/7/3/1 with 2 treys.  Breakout city!  He and Giannis Antetokounmpo (31/7/3 with 4 blocks) are looking like a dynamite pair of young, future forwards.  Add The Duchess Khris Middleton to these guys, and baby you got a stew goin’!

John Henson – Well, here we go again.  DNP-Jason Kidd, with Miles Plumlee getting the start, and going 10/2/1/1/1 in 20 minutes on 4-5 shooting.  In Vince Vaughn’s voice from Anchorman – “I hate you Jason Kidd, I hate you!”

Matthew Dellavedova/Malcolm Brogdon – Another messy PG situation is turning into a pretty bright one, with both looking usable!  Delly for 16/3/7 and 2 treys, and Broggy Bear off the bench for 6/2/9/4/0.  Then again, could’ve been a nice D’Antoni effect here.  I’d bet Delly is still out there in several leagues, and almost everyone could use an extra PG in 12ers…

Russell Westbrook – Mannnnn, after a nice first half, went absolutely ice cold in the third quarter, before finally warming up at the end and knocking out the Jazz on a last-second, game-winner.

That’s not even a pretty shot!  But hey, it’s Westbrook these days, and it’s workin’!  38/10/10/4/1 as he continues his epic year.

Steven Adams – Returned from the concussion for a vintage Adams line, going 9/6/1/0/4.  Well, we might expect a smidge more Pts/Reb, but happy to see him back!

Alec Burks – Down game across the board for the Jazz, but look out for a healthy Alec Burks!  So good to see him playing well again!  Led the bench with 25 minutes, going 13/2/2/0/1 on 4-7 shooting, and playing aggressive with 5-6 FT.  Gives him 13 Pts in back-to-back games as he ramps up his minutes, but I still worry there will be a little bit of a minutes crunch once Rodney Hood is back.  Would absolutely give Burks a look in deep leagues though…

I hope everyone got off to a strong start this week, and enjoyed some phenomenal hoops last night!  Game-winners, and awful FTs galore!  Hit me up with your thoughts in the comments, and be on the lookout for some big news from Razzball Hoops in a couple days!
