Welcome to your midweek guidance for Week 12! The goal of this post is to steer you towards quality streamers who can help you win your head-to-head matchups.  We’re nearly halfway through the season, and we’ve already seen more than 540 players cycle through the league thanks to COVID-19 protocols.  While this unprecedented situation is frustrating, it is providing opportunities to try out players who never would have sniffed 12-team league rosters otherwise.  Last week, we witnessed the resurrection of Gary Harris and some astonishingly good shooting performances from Coby White and Malik Monk.  Hopefully some of you were able to cash in on those recommendations.  This week, there’s a whole new set of COVID absences and injuries, so let’s get into the schedule and some player recommendations.

The following teams only play one more game this week: Hornets, Pacers, Heat, Sixers, and Pistons.  The Grizzlies and Clippers play the maximum of three games to close it out.

Three Category Contributors

  • Anfernee Simons (Points, Threes, Assists): The Blazers’ starting backcourt is out, with Damian Lillard potentially set to miss extended time.  Grab Simons if he’s still available and see where it goes (Plays Fri, Sun).
  • Maxi Kleber (Threes, Rebounds, Blocks): Maxi steps into the starting role this week with Kristaps Porzingis in protocols.  His past three starts yielded averages of 1.7 threes, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks (Plays Fri, Sun).
  • Patrick Beverley (Assists, Steals, Blocks): This is simply a public service announcement for anyone who still has Beverley on their waiver wire.  He’s a must add in twelve team leagues, even with D’Angelo Russell back on the floor (Plays Fri, Sun).

Two Category Contributors

  • Brandon Clarke (Rebounds, FG%): The Grizzlies have a favorable schedule and like to play with pace.  With Kyle Anderson out for the week, Clarke regains some relevancy as a guy who put up 15.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in his last three contests (Plays Thurs, Sat, Sun).
  • Damian Jones (Rebounds, FG%): Chimezie Metu joined Richaun Holmes in protocols, making Damian Jones an attractive option as someone who’ll likely receive close to 30 minutes in the next 2-3 games – assuming he stays out of foul trouble.  He averaged 12 points and six boards on 76% shooting from the field in his first three starts (Plays Fri, Sun).
  • Nassir Little (Rebounds, Blocks): In addition to the backcourt injuries faced by the Blazers, Larry Nance Jr. may miss additional time in with an injury.  Little displays solid per-minute production, and averaging six rebounds and a block in 25 minutes over the past two months.  He’ll also chip in one three per game (Plays Fri, Sun).
  • Tyus Jones (Assists, Steals): Three games left, with two of them coming against similarly fast paced squads (Pistons, Lakers).  The minutes will limit his production, but Jones is reliable in his categories of strength with averages of 4.2 assists and a steal over the past two months (Plays Thurs, Sat, Sun).

One Category Contributors

  • Gary Payton II (Steals): With injuries on the wing, the Warriors look to Glove Jr. for some defensive help.  In his past six outings, he played 29 minutes and averaged 1.7 steals.  Things will get a bit more crowded when Klay Thompson returns to the floor in the coming days (Plays Thurs, Sun).
  • Rudy Gay (Points):  The Jazz head into the weekend without Joe Ingles, providing Rudy with some room to operate.  He poured in 18 points with 4 threes and 7 rebounds on Wednesday night (Plays Fri, Sat).
