Last week, Jabari Parker was the first player suggested as a pickup due to the John Collins injury. I expected a rise in minutes and production but the reality was better than expected. 22/1/8.2/2.2/1/1/1.8 on 56.1%/69.1% shooting have him ranked 33rd during that span. As long as Collins remains sidelined, Jabari can be a difference-maker in fantasy. Regarding the other “buy” candidates, both Delon Wright and Troy Brown had forgettable weeks but I still believe in their value.

Alec Burks: The 2019-20 Warriors are officially a train wreck, as the majority of the roster is either injured or missing games as precaution. It’s a bad look all around, especially after the ownership insisted last year that the team will never embrace the “tanking”. However, situations like these can provide unexpected fantasy value and this is exactly the case with Burks. He is a shoot-first guard on a roster in dire need of all the basket-making it can find. With 14.1/1.4/4.1/2.3/0.5/0.6/1.3 he is currently ranked 84th in per game value and can provide valuable scoring for your fantasy team. (46% owned)
Marcus Smart: I sympathize for Gordon Hayward and his unfortunate streak of bad luck. After a brutal injury that cost him the whole season and just as he was regaining his form, he fractured his hand and will miss the next 5-6 weeks at least. Marcus Smart will benefit the most and has a chance to leave his slow start to the season behind. He is a great trade target in my book and a must add if you are lucky enough to find him on the waiver wire. (75% owned)
Cory Joseph: D’Aaron Fox is going to be out for the next 3-4 weeks, leaving his usage to Bogdan Bogdanovic and his minutes to Cory Joseph. His contribution in guard stats makes him a good streaming target, despite his usually low output in points. (10% owned)

R.J. Barrett: The rookie is getting steady minutes and scoring 16 points with 5.8 reb and 4.1 ast but his fantasy value is sunk due to his shooting. 41% shooting on 14.6 attempts and 44.8% on 6.1 free throws makes him an anchor in both percentages and his name value far surpasses his fantasy one (333rd in per game value!). Target a Knicks fan or a rookie enthusiast on your league and make a favourable trade for your fantasy team.
Dewayne Dedmon: Last year, Dedmon was a pleasant fantasy surprise and had a chance to maintain his value as the starting Center for Sacramento. However, he was quickly surpassed by Richaun Holmes and his low playing time simply does not justify a roster spot in most formats. (34% owned)
