Boy is the Kikkoman Juice (less sodium) flowing!

With Tony Wroten out with a knee injury (banged it against a barrel of turnovers), it’s given Brett Brown a bitch slap of sanity to run K.J. McDaniels like he deserves minutes.  Who else is there to even play, Eric Snow?!  McDaniels hadn’t played 30 minutes in a game this year, until surpassing that mark the past three games including a swashbuckler against the Spurs last night.  Getting rainbows that have golden arcs bigger than McDowell’s with a 10/9/2/3/2 line last night, after 21/13/1/1/2 & 18/6/1/0/1 in this latest minutes explosion the last three 76ers games losses.  While he’s playing better than I imagined, there’s still minutes for Wroten when he gets healthy, so I’m not ready to put all my Kookaburra eggs in my Kookaburra juice carton.  Worth owning in all leagues right now while getting the PT, but if he’s back down to 20 minutes when Wroten is healthy and T-Wrote plays his trademarked brickfest game (Wroten plays Tetris!), I’m fine moving on.  So for now, pour that sweet sweet kabob juice all over your line-up!  Here’s what else went down last night in fantasy hoops:

Cory Joseph/Alexey Shved – Whoa, good night for my 1% owned stream calls yesterday!  Tony Parker got a very unsurprising night off against the Sixers with a cracked rib, letting CoJo run with the starters for 14/8/6 in 34 minutes.  Not too shabby!  Well, it was against the now 0-17 Sixers, but schwatev.  And with Wroten hurt, it’s giving Shved lots of Shvminutes for 19/4/4/2/0 on 16 shots in 28 minutes without a single TO.  Hit a couple treys and is worth a stream through the week if you need some FG%-punt stats.

Michael Carter-Williams Speaking of FG%-punt! Awesome segway, huh?  MCW shot pretty well though (9-19 FG, 2-3 3PTM, 4-5 FT) for 24/11/7/0/0 and 4 TO.  Patience is a virtuous!  “Looks can be deceptive!”  Really looks like the Sixers best rebounder out there…  And should be even better on the glass when Wroten chucks up his vintage labradoodles!

Nerlens Noel Helm to NOT 108!  No Captain N last night after he was listed as probable, and no Philly big man did anything interesting in his stead.  Should be back for the next Sixers game, but man is this team frustrating…

Kawhi Leonard JB’s REL bias alert!  Games like last night is why all Kawhi dynasty owners have visions of sugarplums and redonkulousness in their future.  26/10/4/2/0 shooting 9-15 (2-6 3PTM, 6-8 FT).  No Parker or Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili only needed 13 minutes to put up 14 Pts and get rested as well.  Once these geysers retire, oh man, get me some tix for the Kawhi show!

Dwyane Wade – He played!  But pretty empty 9-13 FG 20/3/0/1/0.  Hard to believe the Heat got steamrolled that bad last night…

John Wall Streamroll culprit numero uno.  18/5/13/2/1 in a near rainbow, hit two treys, shot 6-10 from the field, and only had 2 TO.  Worth that first-round pricetag!

Rasual Butler – I guess Tom Jones will have to change his song “It’s not un-Rasual” as Butler has put up 23 points in 2 of the last 3.  Um, what?  Bradley Beal got into foul trouble early, and the journeyman Rasual got hot hitting 8-14 and three treys.  I still wouldn’t even be that excited to add him to my REL 20-teamer.

J.J. Hickson – Near rainbow!  10/8/2/1/3 in 21 minutes, as the Nuggets PF/C rotations continue to drive everyone bonkers.  Kenneth Faried has another slow-burn night of only 29 minutes, but then again, was more than 3 minutes over his season average!  Healthcare.Mozgov is still in open-enrollment on waiver wires in some leagues, but even though he’s the big man to own behind Faried, I still don’t like anyone from this crop.

Derrick Favors Caught the sniffies.  Let’s fire Drew Brees, new Nyquil Sponsor!  Trevor Booker played decent in a spot start for 6/9/1/2/1 and Enes Kanter actually hit the glass hard for 17/15.  Meh, not much to see here except to be sure Mama Booker made Derrick some chicken soup.

Trey Burke Another solid AST:TO game with 8:0 last night.  But it’s still cooled off more-or-less like we expected.

Alec Burks “Pow, right in the kisser!”  That’s what Arron Afflalo said…  22/8/3 and hit his FT at 8-10.  No blood no foul!  After a hot run, Burks had cooled off as well, but a nice bounceback here.  For the brothers Burk, it’s going to be up and down and it’s what you bargain for.

Jeff Adrien – Whoa, still relevant after all!  Welllll, not so much given it was a blowout right after the tip, and Thaddeus Young and Gorgui Dieng played under 22 minutes a piece, giving Adrien some junk time work.  7/6/2/1/2 in 13 bench minutes, but I would expect Flip to keep him on the bench most games when it’s close.  Although to get a near-rainbow and be the only guy except Glenn Robinson’s +3 in 6 minutes to go positive in +/- (Adrien was +7), Flip should notice.  And when the hell is it really going to be “close” for the Wolves?! Worth a look in 20ers even though I gave the advice he wasn’t yesterday… Sometimes I get em wrong!

Shabazz Muhammad – Hmmm, two in a row playing red hot, with 18/10/4 last night after that career-high 28 last Sunday.  Back-to-back games leading the Wolves in scoring…. Hmmm…  Same advice as above, a lot will be in junk time, but virtually every Minny game is junky.  Maybe worth the flier in 16ers or deeper, but very very marginally.

J.J. Redick – ThrAGNOF check!  Like “heat check”…?  Eh, it was a light day of news or anything interesting yesterday!  7-11 FG (4-5 3PTM, 5-6 FT) for 23 points and nada else.  23/1/2/0/0 and why you can treat these guys like flavors of the week. Or flavors of the day, really.  “Today’s soup du jour – mystery meat!”

DeAndre Jordan Ya know, besides maybe a little more Stl/Pts upside, is doing what we were hoping Andre Drummond would be… 11/13/2/1/4, and somehow his FT volume has gone down from last year to 0.8-1.8 a game and barely hurting you.  Why is no one hacking a Dre?!  The FGs are low-volume too, but 72.5% from the field?!  I’ll take that any-a-day!

Kevin Durant Mannnnnn, might be back tonight!  So be sure and check your line-ups before tip if you snagged KD in the first or second round.  Even if it’s not tonight, it’s looking mighty fine if you heeded our advice and reached for KD in H2H!

Guess the Kobe Stat Line – Get you guesses in, folks!  Step right up, herrrrre!  Read those in a circus announcer’s voice… And then think to yourself how circus-y Kobe’s line could be tonight against the Pistons…  Off a tripdub, I think Kobe stays hot for 32/6/7 on 29 shots.  Maybe Byron Scott’s starting line-up change is he’ll bring Kobe off the bench as the 6th man!  Hah!

Streamers/Cheap DraftKings Picks:

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (19% owned) – A little more widely owned than my normal streamer picks, but I think this is going to be a biggie for KCP.  Oh no, the KCP addict is going full bender!  The Lakers are awful – especially on D – and as a commenter pointed out, KCP for some reason is murdering it at home while pooping his pants on the road.  This is at Detroit, so if you’ve ever thought about streaming KCP, tonight be da nite!

Patrick Patterson (13% owned) – Pit-Pat is off a solid 10/13/3/0/1 game where he got some extra run with Amir Johnson stubbing his toe.  The legs of the coffee table can be treacherous!  Amir might sit out, or at the least should be a little limited, giving Pit-Pat some extended run against the Kings.  PF isn’t exactly a “power” position for SAC, so owners looking for a little-bit-a-e’rythang should give Pit-Pat a long hard look.

It’s a busy Tuesday night, so be sure and set your line-ups and consider your steams.  We’ll catch ya tomorrow recapping em all!
