If you missed it, Bam Adebayo scored 83 points last night. 83. This passes Kobe Bryant for second most points scored in a game, like, ever.  I don’t care if it’s against the Wizards, or the 40 free throws, this is a huge deal and should be celebrated.

Oh, yes, by the way, I do have him in a points league playoff game. 149 big ones for the Kelder team!

Personally, I live in the area that Bam grew up, and my daughter goes to his old high school, and my friend baptized him, so it’s really cool to see. His mom rang up my groceries from time to time. You don’t believe me? Read this.

On another personal note, I finished fifth in the 14-team Yahoo! Friends and Family league in the regular season! This is by far the most competitive league I’ve been in. Problem is, I’m playing Razzball’s own Kostas in the first round! Long-time Razzball fans will recognize the name Son; well that guy got second in the regular season.

My main guys: Donovan Mitchell, Anthony Edwards, Mikal Bridges, Cooper Flagg, Chet Holmgren

His main guys: Kevin Durant, Bam Adebayo (doh!), Zion Williamson, Devin Booker.

Which Razzballer wins this one? I’m up 6-3, obviously not going to win points but doing well in the other categories.

Guys to Ride

Josh Giddey is gonna have a fun end to the season. The Bulls are going to give him every chance to grab every stat possible, and he’s doing so. The Bulls ran him out for 43 minutes, and he notched his second consecutive triple-double. Matas Buzelis will get as many minutes as he can handle, but his efficiency will come and go.

Fine, let’s just list the Bulls who are safe: Nic Richards, Jalen Smith, Tre Jones, and Leonard Miller should be safe for minutes but you never know with this weird team.

Quenton Grimes is poised for more March Madness. Tyrese Maxey is out with a finger issue, opening up massive minutes for Grimes. He’s a player that loses efficiency with more touches at times, so you’ll have to guard that precious FG%, especially in a head-to-head playoffs. Cameron Payne (promise this isn’t a typo) 30 minutes, but he won’t shoot 8-8 from three point range like probably ever again, so forget about him. Grimes is the new cheesesteak to target from Philly.

The Grizzlies are going to give Ty Jerome and Cedric Coward probably around 25 minutes per game going forward. I like both and would grab them if someone ran out of IL slots. Jerome is averaging 20 points and 5 assists. Do I need to go on?

Daniel Gafford is a double double machine and is the only center for Dallas. Cooper Flagg is also past his foot issue and is right at 32 minutes per game. Both are safe until the last week of the season or so.

Ousmane Dieng is an unlikely winner from the trade deadline. The Weird Bulls traded the wing for……..aging impending free agent Nic Richards. Dieng in 22 minutes for Milwaukee is averaging 8/5/3, but the big news is that he’s now starting and played 37 minutes last night and hasn’t been below 25 in his past five. Dieng is good for 2-3 treys per game and in his past three averaged over 6 assists. This time of year, this is a great, not just a good pickup.

Keep pounding guys, I know it’s a long season, but you’ll regret it if you fall short because you didn’t check things!
