Enough has been said of the Luka Doncic deal. De’Aaron Fox was dealt to San Antonio, Zach LaVine is off to Sacramento, and the Bulls got…well, the first two were exciting. Each has it’s own effect on the rotations.

This might be a quick one, but it’s only one trade.

Bulls: They shouldn’t be done here. Ayo Dosunmu is a locked in starter and will hit over 30 minutes most games. Lonzo Ball, if he stays, is up to 24 every night. Coby White will also get as many minutes as he can handle. Tre Jones, well, keep an eye on where he ends up. If he stays in Chicago and a guard is dealt, Tre could be the starter, or play Lonzo Ball minutes. If he’s traded, it’s impossible to know where he’d go, so monitor him. The big news is Matas Buzelis will get bigger minutes going forward, as will Patrick Williams. The first one is exciting and the second not so exciting! This situation is extremely fluid going into the deaddy. You know, a cool word for deadline.

Spurs: Fox is the obvious starter moving Chris Paul to the bench. Since they gave up only one key piece, the rest of the rotation should be solid. Stephen Castle is the future here and will soon be the present for the Spurs. Big pickup, only rookie I’d take over him is Buzelis.

Kings: LaVine is reunited with his old running mate from Chicago, but the Kings are going “Oops no point guard!” Malik Monk will play starter’s minutes here. Keon Ellis looks to be the “Alex Caruso” here, so look for around 24-28 minutes per game. I like in deep leagues Doug McDermott; the Kings will need someone to stand still and chuck threes.

I know it’s a fast one. With the trade deadline coming up, there will be many words written. Until then…
