Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2025 brings you joy, love, health and many fantasy championships!
In contrast to the festive mood, I couldn’t overlook 2 instances of Draymond Green being Draymond Green this past week. The first and juicier one is against the Lakers with this WWE move against Dalton Knecht and Rui Hachimura on a free throw.
That’s an excellent double chokeslam and I am astounded that he wants the call to go his way. Notice also the excellent court vision to check the position of the referee before going for the slam. This should almost be called a double foul as he brought down both defenders.
Moving on to exhibit number 2, we have this screen action with George Niang of the Cleveland Cavaliers, without further comments. The only thing to discuss is that it is apparent that the therapy he went after the latest technicals is not working at all.
Regarding last week’s suggestions, the trade between the Lakers and the Nets further solidifies Noah Clowney’s roster position, so if you grabbed him due to my comments last week, you already have a head start. Furthermore, Andrew Nembhard did miss one game the past week but was excellent in the other 2 he played with almost triple doubles, so I would also hold onto him.

Goga Bitadge: It is beyond me that with the run Goga Bitadge is having as the starting center of the Orlando Magic, his ownership is still below 70% (63% owned). He started the season on the bench playing sparingly, but has been awesome lately and is even ranked 23rd in per game value for the last 2 weeks. His big man stats are valuable and he has even started contributing respectable points so make sure he is not on your waiver wire.
Luke Kennard: It seems like every year at this point of the season the Memphis Grizzles are shorthanded and this year is no exception. They are however staying competitive and Luke Kennard has been one of the reasons for this. Despite not starting, he has made 7 triples and 33 points in the last 2 games and should continue to be relied upon for offense in the short term (4% owned).

Jerami Grant: The Portland Trailblazers are going, for another season, nowhere and with the second half of the season approaching, Jerami Grant is always a threat to be shut down, just like last year. His season stats are par for the course, albeit with lower shooting percentages, but I would try to take advantage of any good stretch of him to try and move him for someone that has a higher chance to be playing in the fantasy playoffs (81% owned).
