[Final update as of October 26th!  I hope all of your drafts went swimmingly, and we have two more Razzball Basketball Commenter Leagues drafting tonight!   If you’re feeling light on your teams this year, or want one more shot at a great draft, sign up and join one of those leagues today!]

We’re back with the Razzball Hoops’ all-in-one, frequently updated, hopefully mostly right, let’s do this Rubio!, is this a run on sentence?, fantasy basketball ranks!

Below is our official Razzball Basketball top 200, which we’ll be updating all through the offseason, training camp, preseason, and up until the final night before 2015-16 tips off.  With each player, I give a small blurb on my thoughts, list Yahoo position eligibility (since this is where we’ll be playing our RCL leagues), and Slim gives his 9-cat projection along with projected minutes played.  Alas, Slim and I don’t agree on everything!  So if you see a projection that seems out-of-whack with where a player is ranked, we’ve probably argued the point on the Podcast…  But we also love all of your questions/comments/disbelief at ranks.  We answer any and all of your comments, so if you play in different formats, have keeper questions, salary cap quandaries, or want to be the one to break a piece of news, the comment thread on this running post will be our hub for all fantasy hoops thoughts!

So without any further [James Michael Mc]Adoo, here’s our one stop shop for the 2015-16 Fantasy Basketball Rankings:

The morning Pods are here!  Slim deserves at least 24 shrimp on the barbie for being able to knock out the Pods in the morning, as we opened the show with it still dark out.  I wish the Razzball Basketball Podcast Studio was on a farm!  We’d hear background roosters!  On today’s show we recap big news from over the weekend including the Hawks backcourt, from the suggestion of commenter LOLER go through a few of our early surprises and disappointments, play another edition of Can We Make Slim Look Stupid, then preview tonight’s games with our 30-Point Challenge picks.

Week 3 is in the books, and I gotta say, looking at this week’s FAAB bids is why I love the weekly REL recaps.  Several of the awarded players were “deep league” mentions in this morning’s daily notes, and can be a great way to keep an eye on the emerging guys from the wire a week or two earlier than 12ers.  Since I prematurely shot my wad on what hopefully ISN’T a dry run, I have a mess on my hands!  And the Elites didn’t let any of the big names fall through the cracks.  Lewis Black couldn’t catch it!  Here’s how week 3 went down in the REL:

Well, you might lose your patience after I plagiarized last week’s title and didn’t even have a rhyme-y pun in it!  I’m like the Robert De Niro of short filmmaking

But it is interesting that we’ve had back-to-back weekends of patience paying off.  It’s like having to hold it in and thinking of baseball to make it last!  Although when I think of baseball I think of Grey, so it’s not making anything last!  The injuries have been ridiculously frustrating the past two years, but this last one was just a bad cut that Terrence Jones accidentally squeezed lemon juice in when he was making shrimp scampi.  At least it wasn’t a leg or body part injury, so I remained firm in my Tjones love.  A lot of commenters were asking about selling Tjones away for virtually nothing, and there was even some drop Tjones sentiment.  After a pretty lowly return last Wednesday, Jones showed everyone how good he is when his run is normalized, putting up 23 Pts on Friday and Saturday, with 23/7/0/0/4 and 23/6/1/1/3 lines hitting well over 50% from the field with a combined 4 treys.  I can’t think of baseball fast enough when seeing those numbers!  As I quickly change my pants, it’s probably too late to swing some buy low offers and hopefully you own Tjones in several leagues to ride the wave.  If anyone wants to pay top-30 or 40 value (doubtful), Jones does have the inherent risk of more injuries, so I might sell him off at that price.  But I’m not looking at this weekend as a fluky, sell-high couple of games.  Pateince is a Tjones!  Here’s what else went down over the weekend in fantasy hoops action, and The 7 Ahead for week 4:

After a pretty quiet first week, we’re all the sudden getting ravaged by injuries and late DNP scratches.  LET STEROIDS BE ALLOWED AGAIN DAMMIT!  No one wants to see Austin Rivers start an NBA game…  And then to top it off, the Clippers started a backcourt with daddy’s boy Austin alongside Pablo Prigioni…  Who is certainly old enough to be Rivers’ daddy too…

But before that travesty in Phoenix, the Wolves decided to scratch Ricky Rubio after calling him probable.  To be fair, it was probable they were going to get bludgeoned by the Warriors, then again they played Golden State pretty close…  Mitchell probably thought this was a loss anyway, but who knows if Rubio would’ve made a difference over the Zach LaVine start and the out-of-nowhere minutes for Andre Miller.  Then to just make assists even more a lost cause for fantasy owners, Chris Paul was suddenly questionable then ruled out with his groin strain.  Maybe his groin injury is some sort of cosmic karma for punching Julius Hodge in the nuts when at Wake Forest…  Isn’t cosmic karma an ice cream flavor…?  Whatever, anything to keep me from saying groin again!  There isn’t much of a fantasy spin on these frustrating-as-hell DNPs, other than Rubio indeed looked like a massive sell-high after that opener and CP-3 needs to re-nicknamed CP-DNP.  Both will be managed and it will hurt their overall value, so if you can sell for per-start stats, I would.  And just like the trend we’re seeing in all the other major sports, players will be managed through minor bumps and bruises, especially injury-prone and older players.  LET STEROIDS BE ALLOWED AGAIN DAMMIT!  Here’s what else went down last night in fantasy basketball action:

An injury plagued past couple of nights unfortunately highlights the Razzball Hoops pod today, as we recap those who went down and the fantasy impact.  We are then joined by Pete Nice, our Boards-N-Blocks author, to talk a little big men (hah!) and other noteworthy performances from Wednesday night.  Pete joins the fun for this week’s edition of Higher/Lower, which certainly sounded like he was playing from a special brownie factory.  Always a spot for ya on the baseball Pod with Grey!  We then preview tonight’s games with our 30-Point Challenge picks, and wrap up the week at the movies.

Two weeks into our deep dynasties, and man, it’s tough after a loss not to go into immediate SELL NOW mode!  But if you felt good about your roster, it’s not the time to do anything rash.  Speaking of rashes, somebody get Terrence Jones some ointment for that eye!  I don’t own him in the REL, but eesh, defending him in comments has been a chore!  Stay true with your dynasty squads, and don’t make any of your rebuilding moves yet either.  Teams up top feel invisible (cough, Slim), and teams in the middle are already contemplating selling (cough, me) as well.  I know better, but it’s frustrating…  Anyway, here’s how week 2 went down in the REL:

RAZZBALL ELITE LEAGUE

When you go out on a limb on a guy and it starts slow, at least I can pull the “it’s a long season” card.  Or the “his back has been a little spasmy” card.  Hah, little Pod joke there…

I gotta say, I love you commenters here on Razzball.  A lot of Andrew Wiggins frustration has been thrown around, like “he single-handedly killed my FG%”, and “he’s why I started 1-8”, and “Wiggins must be dating yet another one of those Kardashians”.  But I was really honored to say almost all of the vitriol wasn’t at me.  Hell, I was expecting to be served on the coals for that one!  Or some sort of cliche that works…  Maybe it was out of the decency of your hearts since I obviously own him on several teams with this rank.  I got way more hate for saying Nate Robinson was a good opening night streamer/last draft pick in 12ers!  But like the worst drunken one night stand in history, I got rid of Nate about 4 or 5 minutes in.  While with Wiggins, I’m entrenched in a life-long relationship.  Hope my wife isn’t reading this!  After a really rocky start, Wiggins finally looked like the breakout talent I was hoping for on Saturday night against the Bulls, going 31/3/2/0/1 with only 1 TO and hit 4 treys.  Of course it wouldn’t be a pristine line, but then again what relationship is suddenly perfect?!  Except my marriage of course!  Wiggy still shot like poo (11-27) and had an odd 5-10 FT game.  He’s usually gonna be a high-volume 80% guy from the stripe, plus he hit 4-5 from deep, so there’s still hope the FG% climbs as his bum back gets healthier and he shoots his way out of it.  Of course you can point to Kevin Martin not playing (personal) for the burst in treys, but big picture we still think K-Mart gets moved.  Even with K-Mart, they’re using him as a 6th man and Wiggy is the only real perimeter option in the starting 5 anyway.  I also think with a little more health, he’ll play more aggressive on D.  The one swat he had was a legit one, not a lazy strip that’s scored a block, WHICH STILL FRUSTRATES ME!  The buy low window is closing rapidly, so if you’re still hoping to buy in on Wiggy, I’d wait until tonight and see if he has another rough shooting game before opening the floodgates.  If you own Wiggy, definitely hold, particularly with the Wolves playing 5 games this week. Here’s what else went down over the weekend in NBA action, plus The 7 Ahead for week 3:

It just took prime time to rejuvenate Derrick Rose!  After an utterly atrocious outing against the Hornets on Tuesday – and three straight games of single-digit scoring – it certainly looked like the injuries had maybe made Rose a below-average PG…  I just edited out about 3 flower puns from this open, NO ONE IS READING FOR BOTANY OR WHATEVER THE WORD IS FOR FLOWER-STUFF!  Is it horticulture?  SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY!  That’s me yelling at myself.  And also venting some anger, because I wanted him to be poopy for one more week as I face him in REL, so of course he would have by far his best game of the season last night.  Rose looked pretty spry out there, shooting 12-25 for a nice popcorn 29/5/7 stat line.  But as always, his lines have thorny stems supporting the bloom (AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!), as he didn’t notch a trey or steal.  He’s got no treys and only two swipes though 6 games now.  Even Jarrett Jack is like, “is this really an NBA PG?!”  At the very least, Rose is keeping the TO in check and he looked pretty healthy last night.  I think he’s still hovering in that 80-100 range that he fell in ADP, but if anyone would buy last night’s game as he’s back to vintage Rose, you’re obviously selling.  I actually saw him dropped in an RCL, and I’m pending my waiver claim.  Of course I won’t get him at my #6 spot, and of course I could use PG depth.  I’ve luckily avoided Rose the past half-decade, but now my frustration with him is reaching Nate Robinson levels.  Waived like three days after being the opening night starter?!  Or maybe it’s a Pelicans issue, THE WORST RUN NBA FRANCHISE!  Aight, aight, I’ve taken my diazepam, I’m ready to mellow.  Thankfully NO didn’t play last night, or else I mighta needed to double my dosage…  Here’s what else went down yesterday in fantasy hoops action:
