In a rematch from only two days ago, the Pelicans were able to get revenge behind the fantasy star of the night, Brandon Ingram, who hasn’t been as good as last year since his injury but showed up last night with a near triple-double. Ingram finished with 24 points, 12 assists, and eight assists. This was easily Ingram’s best game of the year, and he will look to keep the streak going. While Jonas Valanciunas continues to start at center, his foul troubles recently have opened up more minutes for Willy Hernangomez, who has been stellar off the bench. Hernangomez finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds and should continue to be a solid streamer even with a great center in front of him.

With Kristaps Prozingis out of the lineup, the Mavericks struggled offensively. Luka Doncic led the way, as he usually does, with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. He remains one of the top category players with unlimited upside on a night-to-night basis. Maxi Kleber had 13 points and nine assists while filling in for Porzingis, but his production is too sporadic to justify rostering him.

Dejounte Murray comes in as our fantasy star of the Friday slate, as he tied his career-high of 29 points to go along with 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals. He was excellent down the stretch making clutch play after clutch play to lead the Spurs to a 96-88 win. Murray has shown his talents all year as an elite three-category player with great shooting numbers and defensive stats to go along with it all. He has been amazing, both in real life and in the fantasy world. Keldon Johnson was right there with Murray down the stretch, ending with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

The Brooklyn Nets are back for another Friday night, so it’s only fitting that the fantasy star of the night is from the Nets. James Harden ended with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in the narrow, 115-113 win over the Magic. We got a glimpse of the Nets with just one superstar on Friday as Kevin Durant was out with injury. Whenever one of these superstars plays alone, they will have immense upside and control the offense entirely. Harden continues to have more upside when both are on the court together because of his high assist numbers.

Luka Doncic provided the top fantasy performance of the night in a 123-109 win over the Spurs. He finished with 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 points. Luka has been heating up in recent games and finally exploded for a massive stat line. He remains a top-three fantasy option as an elite provider in the main three categories. Kristaps Porzingis matched Doncic with 32 points of his own in last night’s win.

The Spurs struggled last night and were led by 20 points off the bench from Devin Vassell. It was an off night for the Spurs as many of their players posted worse than average stat lines. Dejounte Murray and others will look to get back on track in their next game.

The Toronto Raptors snuck away with a 110-109 win over the Orlando Magic last night. Scottie Barnes was the scoring leader with 21 points to go along with nine rebounds. Both Gary Trent Jr. and Fred VanVleet added 19 points in the win, while OG Anunoby added 16 points. Precious Achiuwa only played 21 minutes and did not receive any playing time in the fourth quarter of Friday’s game. The Raptors frontcourt will be one to watch moving forward.

Although the Magic lost on Friday night, they still managed to have a few players produce some fantasy-friendly stat lines. Cole Anthony led the way with 24 points while adding five rebounds and five assists. Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba were very active last night, recording a pair of double-doubles in the loss. Bamba matched his career-high in rebounds with 18.

Before we look at the upcoming season, we have to first look back at the Knicks’ spectacular 2020 season. ESPN had the Knicks projected to win 24.7 games with a 2% chance of making the playoffs. The Knicks shattered those expectations by winning 41 games and making it to the playoffs as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Going into the 2020 season, the Knicks did not look very exciting, as most hoped for bigger names in free agency. We have a similar trend leading up to this upcoming season.
