My first introduction to hip hip was The D.O.C. Then came N.W.A., 2Pac, Too Short, and Cypress Hill. I was strictly Westside. I then moved out to the east coast for college, which is when the Notorious B.I.G, Nas, Mobb Deep, KRS-One, Wu-Tang, and Tribe Called Quest all started making noise. It was a glorious time. In addition, I was exposed to the Beastie Boys, De La Soul, and the OGs like Grandmaster Flash and Run D.M.C. West coast boy and east coast music melded together beautifully, even with all that stupid drama back then. Anyways, the world was all about West Coast vs East Coast, but then Andre 3000 came onto the scene with his southern funk and swag. It was fantabulous. I always admired Andre 3000 because he adapted, changed, and was diverse, as he was not just a music star, but became an actor and fashion entrepreneur. That’s how I think about Andre Drummond. When he started get full run in the NBA, he was a straight beast. Accumulating double-dubs (points and rebounds) and provding those D stats. But the free throw shooting was worse than atrocious and dimes? Fuhgeddaboudit. He improved in both categories, though, last season. Upping his free throw shooting to 60%, after languishing in the 38% range, and the assist number vaulted up to 3, after being around the 1 mark. Outlier? Possibly, but at least he’s shown that it’s within the range of outcomes. As for last night…..

Andre 2622.

Beep….Boop….Bop. By the way, the Stocktonator loved him last night, as it had Dre as the fifth best play on the slate.

Here’s what else I saw last night:

James Harden will miss two games due to a strained left hamstring. Hope he has a Good Neighbor.

James Ennis will also miss two games due to a hamstring strain as well. It sounds like Carmelo Anthony has been “busy” this week. He and Gerald Green will soak up more minutes.

Bobby Portis is out 4-6 weeks with a MCL sprain. Has Jabari Parker been “busy” as well?

Luke Kennard suffered a shoulder sprain. Who cares?

Blake Griffin

Langston Galloway

Reggie Jackson

PTS REB AST STL BLK TOV 3PT FG FT

Ish Smith

PTS REB AST STL BLK TOV 3PT FG FT

Kevin Love did not play so Channing Frye got the start and played 21 minutes. Do I need to continue?

Cedi Osman

PTS REB AST STL BLK TOV 3PT FG FT

Larry Nance Jr.

I’m kind of disappointed at the one rebound and one steal. He must’ve fell down and the ball landed on top of him for the rebound. As for the steal, someone must’ve tripped on a wet spot and the ball ended up in his hand.

Played 34 minutes and led the team in shot attempts. There are movies that end up having an all-star cast organically, usually because those stars weren’t stars yet. But there have been many movies that mish mashed a bunch of A-list stars and wrote a script around that concept. Always felt weird watching those movies. Anyways, during those movies, it always took time for the hierarchy to get established. That’s what this Celtics team reminds me of. Is Tatum the leader of the pack?

What do you think…worth spending my #2 faab waiver pick on Bogdan? He is coming off waivers tonight..i love his game…but would also have to hold him injured for more than a week while keeping Barton stashed (and Boogie on my IL). Basically would bankrupt my chances at winning next week’s matchup. But might land me a nice asset.

@Court Vision: Ha! Patience grasshopper actually worked!!! I kid. It’s prudent, especially so early in the season. With that said, a lot of things can change. As for Bogdan, so tough because I like him a lot but I worry about the injury itself and the minutes allocations. The Kings have been utilizing 2 distinct lineups. One for competitive games and one for blowouts. I lean towards not using your #2 waiver but I wouldn’t hate it if you did. Nice hedge huh?

@Son: Hey you cant be wrong if you don’t take a stand. I kid! Yeah i hear you though. I already have De’aron Fox who was a late round flier and so far is looking every much improved. But im even worried about his consistency minutes wise with Hield and Bogdan coming back. I drafted Marvin the Third too but dropped him thinking the logjam in the front court was gonna make owning him a pain the ass.

I guess maybe the best course of action is to not use the waiver bid and see if he goes unclaimed and i can grab him while keeping my high level pick. If i lose him..so it goes. Lotta fish in the sea. Still gotta then soldier through a matchup and a half with 2 hurt players but im sitting in 1st right now and winning week 2 so i could prob afford it. Hi Son!

I once again come seeking your counsel .

After trading McGee for Poeltl (move that I made before real games started) I am trying to revamp my team at a 14 team league.

PG/SG/SF: I picked Dotson and Burke as they both could find substantial minutes and usage. Obviously I know more about Burke, who was benched yesterday and looks inefficient but is Frank Nitty going to start at PG from now on? FAs: SGA, Sexton, Monk, Frank Nitty, Augustin, Joseph, Hezonja or even Bridges, Bembry, Knox (no IR spot sadly)

PF/C: Picked Henson, who is surprising me considerably so far. Also picked Lyles, since Barton is out and Millsap does not seem safe from injuries. However, I owned him in the past and is hard for me to believe he will stick around. Possible alternatives are (they just picked Z Collins): Zeller, Olynyk, Robinson, Gortat, Bam, Noel, Jamychal Green, Poeltl, Willy,

What do you think? I am not sure at all who to drop in the first case, I like SGA, Sexton or Bridges/Knox. In the second case, I would more likely drop Lyles for Olynyk/Bam or Robinson.

    • Son

        (link)

        @Son:
So who would you drop Dotson and/or Burke for SGA and/or Sexton/Bridges?
As for the PF/C, I am not a huge fan of Zeller… I would prefer Robinson whom I drafted but dropped. However his chances are not so clear for now or you think he will be getting time regularly soon.

        Thank you !

@Taurean: Burke for SGA. I’d drop Dotson for Sexton as well. I’m not a fan of Zeller either but he should be the “guy” in CHA. Doesn’t look like Willy is going to be freed. I like MRob as well, if you can hold him. Upside is there and he didn’t seem overwhelmed. Kanter is still there though
