If you follow the blog throughout the years, you know my adoration for the basketball god that is called Nikola Jokic, so I will keep today’s introduction short and sweet with 2 videos from last week. One against Houston and Alperen Sengun, who had his worst game of the season against the Joker
Ignore the awful court and focus on the grace and the beauty of the posterization. And of course, the assist to assist all assists to Peyton Watson against Memphis.
Bonus points for the Memphis fans gasping and the Memphis bench facepalming in admiration. Absolute cinema.
Regarding last week’s suggestions, Moussa Diabate stood out with a good week, while the Orlando boys Tristan Da Silva and Wendell Carter Jr were just OK. I would continue to put my faith on the latter though and finally on the Sell front, Anfernee Simons had 2 great games just to make me look like a fool, but his playing time is too light for my liking and I don’t consider him must roster in the slightest.

Peyton Watson: When did this guy become a lethal 3pt shooter and I missed the memo ? Apart from the absurd shooting since starting for Denver due to injuries, we know Watson can bring the defense and the gravity that Nikola Jokic puts on defenses can help him find a lot of open spot up shots. He is top100 since starting so add him and deploy him until Denver gets back to full strength (24% owned).
Noah Clowney: I know we keep getting disappointed when we put any kind of faith on this guy, but, during the last 2 weeks, the 3rd year forward is averaging 3.3 triples, 1 steal and 1.2 blocks, good for top70 per game production. What is even more encouraging is the ever increasing playing time, so give him a look as he is a young guy on the always tanking Brooklyn Nets (23% owned).
Saddiq Bey: Herbert Jones will miss at least the next week with a right calf injury and the next man up is apparently Saddiq Bey, who after missing all of last season with a torn ACL is showing signs of fantasy life. His game is not particularly fantasy friendly but a combination of good triples with rebounds is often a tricky find from the waiver, so move accordingly if this fits your team’s needs (18% owned).

Kel’el Ware: The season started slowly for Ware, moving in and out of the starting lineup and most importantly not sharing the court with Bam Adebayo at all. However, a Bam injury reestablished him in the starting lineup and he has been a fatnasy beast, with top30 per game value for the season and top10 since Bam went down. The problem is what the Heat will do once both Bam and Andrew Wiggins are available, not to mention Tyler Herro returning. Will they stick with the hot hand and try to play both big men together or revert to the start of the season ? It can go both ways, but if I can get a top50 player back for him at this point, I would not stick around to find out if coach Spoelstra is convinced or not.
