Fresh off a victory against the Celtics (105-92) after holding them to a historic franchise low 12-points in the fourth quarter, the Thunder and Cavs are now on a collision course this week.
Crazily enough, we’re talking about two elite and young teams that have not lost against the opposite conference, both sharing 15-game winning streaks (Cleveland to start the season and Oklahoma currently). Is SGA the MVP so far? No, I don’t think so at all, that is still Jokic and I don’t think it’s all that close yet. From a meta-team perspective, I alluded to it this weekend, but I think Cavs have the slight edge, but I think either team can be considered the best in the NBA right now. And be sure to ask me again after this match-up and eventually when/if Chet returns.
Sure, playoffs are the playoffs, and that’s the biggest knocks for these two teams… but since this is fantasy, we get to hype up the regular season results a bit more and what a regular season it’s been for both of them.
The Kings are now 4-1 since unceremoniously firing Mike Brown. Could Doug Christie be the best coach ever or is this perhaps some regression to the mean? Maybe both! They do still have and have had the best point differential in their division, on the flipside, they are actually playing better defense now. Also, Colby Jones minutes are going to Keon Ellis, so that probably helps too…
Over in Los Angeles, Amen Thompson put up 23 points with 16 rebounds (a career high) in the Rockets win against the Lakers. And if you didn’t notice, Kawhi started his first game against the Hawks and looked pretty good in limited minutes. Continue to expect a slow build-up, with Kris Dunn and DJJ (and of course Powell) keeping there minutes pretty much in line previously. Biggest minute losers here will be KPJ, but I do think Amir Coffey stays his usual self.
And lastly, in what feels like a panic move, the Suns have moved Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic out of the starting lineup. It’s no surprise with Nurkic, he really has been limited the last few years, but the Beal thing kinda shows you what type of season the Suns are having. Post-Olympic blues?
Here are your rankings for Week 11!

Appreciate the insights and hard work. I don’t understand Ivey still being on the list but perhaps there is good news I missed?
Bad news, I’m still hung over and forgot to remove him. Thanks JC!
Updated, also gave me a reason to move Kawhi up again lol, no bias at all here.
