Sup JB! I drafted parsons in all my leagues because I believe in you believing in the grizzlies believing in parsons! Haha looking like he’ll be fine but man knee injuries are scary.
Wanted to get your opinion on my h2h 10 team league with a FG% punt, do you think my low-ish points, rebounds high turnovers are out of control?
rubio, payton, collison
harden, beal, RHJ
parsons, ariza, gallinari
green, dieng
ibaka, noah
@jonny: Sup man?! Haha let’s hope it works out! Sounds like he’s pretty close. Well Pts aren’t that awful! Ibaka should be better, Parsons will score, Gallo…. TO is def bad. Could use another rebounder and your steals are great, so maybe RHJ can go for a prototypical big if one is on the wire (like Randle for his 10 REB, bad FG)
@JB Gilpin:
Yeah my TO is probably a punt as well at this point. Someone just dropped favors in this league!! Should I drop noah after that horrible game or still go with RHJ?
@jonny: Yeah Noah can go, get Favors ASAP!
Hey JB, how does my team look? It’s a 12 team 9 cat H2H .
1. (5) Stephen Curry
2. (20) Kemba Walker
3. (29) Brook Lopez
4. (44) Nikola Jokic
5. (53) Jae Crowder
6. (68) Brandon Knight
7. (77) Dirk Nowitzki
8. (92) Kent Bazemore
9. (101) Kenneth Faried
10. (116) Luol Deng
11. (125) Al-Farouq Aminu
12. (140) Zaza Pachulia
13. (149) Marcus Morris
@spo: Pretty low FG% but that looks like it was the plan, probably have enough REB but you’re light in blocks. I think I would look for another swatter off the wire or maybe explore a sell high a week or two in
@JB Gilpin: The waiver is looking kinda dry for blocks, but do you think I should drop anyone for Mozgov? And overall how did I draft? I feel I mightve drafted kind of weak
@spo: Nahhhh, I think I’d prob hold everyone. Maybe Aminu, but I’m just not an Aminu guy. I think you did aight! Curry falling to 5 is insane to em. I might have done different at 9 and 11 as Faried and Aminu are kinda blah to me and you have a bajillion 3s. If you can sell of some surpluses you’ll be fine!
Yaaaaay and we’re back!
Gimme LBJ for 30 v NYC.
@Lasandro: Can’t pick a top 10 scorer from last season until the 1st week is over then it’ll be no top 10 scorer from this year. So NO Curry, Harden, Durant, Cousins, LeBron, Lillard, Brow, Westbrook, DeRozan, George.
@Slim: So funny – Im still listening to the pod and you guys are up to the part where you’re reminding everyone of the rules!
Kyrie me, thanks.
@Slim: @Lasandro: Hah yeah, first week is a little tricky. Kyrie it is! I’m gonna win it this year!
@JB Gilpin @Slim: 29 points!?!?!?!?!?!?!
@Lasandro: Hahaha, the 30-point challenge can be mad frustrating! Or mad awesome if you picked Kawhi 🙂
Sup JB and Slim. Thanks for the review!
Its the Blue Men Giants 😉
Kyrie for 30
@giantsFTW: Hah gotcha, good to know! Looks better than my Panthers right now, sheesh. Sounds good!
@JB Gilpin: hehe yes, but not much better at all 🙁
Can you give a quick first thought on WCS this season? Is he worth a stash for FG%/Reb/Blocks ?
@giantsFTW: Mehhhhhh, really worried about the playing time. Not in a 12er, mayyyyybe 14er
I say no one available scores 30 tonight.
@TheMuppetManiac: Well that’s no fun. No credit will be given for that…
@TheMuppetManiac: @Slim: Haha, someone is a party pooper on opening night!
@JB Gilpin:
I’m just being honest. I wanted to pick someone, but there wasn’t anyone that I loved. I think we see a lot of 20’s, but I’m not sure about 30.
@TheMuppetManiac:
Gun to my head, Carmelo has the best shot.
@TheMuppetManiac: Very possible. My 2nd choice was Goose but APPARENTLY I’m incredably biased…
@TheMuppetManiac: @Slim: Haha calm down Slim. Yeah Melo is a good pick.
Kyrie Irving for the 30-point challenge
@Rob: Nice! Lots of Kyrie love. Gonna kill that Rose “defense” haha
Kawhi for the win in the 30point challenge
@Pbomb: Me and you brother, let’s get a point tonight!
Haha way to sneak the Kistaps music in there at the end JB. I’ll take Kyrie for 30 points.
@Jensen: Haha appreciate it! I thought about it, but decided to go Kawhi. Kyrie is def a strong call too
Hi jb! What do tou think of my team:
12 teams 9 Cats H2H:
Steph Curry
DeAndre Jordan
Draymond Green
Goran Dragic
Nikola Jokic
Aaron Gordon
Chandler Parsons
Jahlil Okafor
Wesley Matthews
Jared Sullinger
Jrue Holiday
Tim Frazier
@Pbomb: Def s FT punt, love the big man stats though, awesome AST esp. when Jrue is back. Sully can obviously be dropped. A lot will depend on okafor, feels like you’re light one big man
@JB Gilpin: thanks for the feedback man. Dropped sully for kyle anderson for streaming but still deciding who to pick as my last big. hibbert, mozgov, chandler, henson, cauley-stein or markieff morris. What do you think?
@Pbomb: by the way nerlens noel has just been dropped in our league. But i have okafor and still waiting for holiday so can’t decide if i’ll pick him in the waivers.
@Pbomb: Cool, love the Slo Mo add for this first week. I would go Kieff there, he may not be as prototypical with REB/BLK, but has upside to bounce back. Do you have INJ spots? If not, you can’t do it. If so, I might nab him and stash then nab Kieff
I’ll take Melo for the 30 point challenge
@Mr T: Nice! Go Windians!
I’ll take Melo too
@David M: Noice!
Melo for 30 and a win leaving only 115 to go.
@Dusty: and thanks for the feedback on my team in the pod
@Dusty: Haha yeah they can’t afford to drop this one to get to 116- 0! Haha. Sounds good, and any time man, thanks for listening!
Hey guys, feels good to have basketball back! Hoping it helps my fantasy football team…somehow.
Anyways, I’d love if you could take a look at my team!
1. (1) Stephen Curry (GS – PG,SG)
2. (24) DeAndre Jordan (LAC – C)
3. (25) Andre Drummond (Det – PF,C)
4. (48) Ricky Rubio (Min – PG)
5. (49) Goran Dragic (Mia – PG,SG)
6. (72) Jusuf Nurkic (Den – C)
7. (73) Thaddeus Young (Ind – SF,PF)
8. (96) Clint Capela (Hou – PF,C)
9. (97) Wesley Matthews (Dal – SG,SF)
10. (120) Justise Winslow (Mia – SF,PF)
11. (121) Kyle Korver (Atl – SG,SF)
12. (144) Terrence Jones (NO – SF,PF)
13. (145) Tony Parker (SA – PG)
If you couldn’t tell, I’m punting FTs haha… I kind of reached for drumm and Nurk but I don’t think I could have gotten them in the next round with me picking at the turns. Also, Jerami Grant is floating on the waivers! Am I dropping tony parker?
I’m going to go against the flow and I’m calling LMA go off for 30 against my warriors. Thanks again for all the work you guys do! looking forward to another great season.
@jdubs: oops… this is a 12 team H2H 9 cat league
@jdubs: Haha yeah fantasy football has been hit or miss this year for me at best. Doesn’t help almost all of my focus is on basketball once NFL starts anyway…. The Currt/punt-FT build, seeing it a lot! Nice! Filled out AST, TO look good, Def think you’re a little light in scoring. Although 3s should be fine so that’s good. Whewwwww, I actually think Parker is OK, and you obviously have good blocks. I’ll hold off on that move. LMA it is, nice pick!
Do you guys things you could take a look at my team? A bit heavy on the injuries right now but hoping I can stream my way through these first few weeks:
12 team – h2h – 9-cat
Kevin Durant SF (1)
Kyrie Irving PG (24)
LaMarcus Aldridge PF (25)
Serge Ibaka PF (48)
Trevor Ariza SF (49)
Chandler Parsons SF (72)
Nerlens Noel C, PF (73)
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SG (96)
Robin Lopez C (97)
Luol Deng SF (120)
Evan Turner SG, SF (121)
Matthew Dellavedova PG, SG (144)
Tyreke Evans SF, SG (145)
Picked Durant accidentally on autopick but felt really good about my team afterwards. Saw Irving was still on the board at #24 so started to go with a punt-assists build.
@Cyril: Sure thing! Yup def very punt-AST, which would make Evans expendable when healthy, or if you don’t have IL spot, I think you cut him. Def would try and get a little more STL. Ariza is awesome, KCP is OK, then kinda bleh. Delly might be good…. Maybe one more blocker. Noel fits those great, you need him back sooner than later!
Call it bias since I’m a Jazz fan but The Hockey Guy takes Rodney Hood for 30 tonight without Hayward and probably getting McCollum defense
@Viz: Hah bold! Yeah Jazz will need some scoring. Happy with my joe Johnson stream in a few leagues haha. Good to hear from ya, Hockey Guy!
@JB Gilpin: I almost took Hood with Hayward out. Just scared of their pace.
@Viz: @Jensen: Jazz slow pace vs. Blazers quick pace… Unstoppable force meets immovable object!
Melo for 30
@Game of Zones: nice! Lots of Melo picks tonight!
Thanks for team review guys!!! It turned out to be a punt assts team with Kmid out so I didn’t even grab Ish or Frasier or a trade. I thought the blocks were fine with Dipo/Danny Green/RHJ/Smart getting me about 2/game avg.
Btw, my yahoo uservioce lobbying has partially worked. Darren C status changed to OUT. I think Yahoo is worried about causing a lot of uproar with Jrue.
@jay: For sure! Yeah well the suspended guys seem to take a few extra days, I remember this last year. Sometimes INJ takes in a factor of having actually been hurt for 2 games or something? I’m not entirely sure how Yahoo determines it, I never bothered to look it up haha
@JB Gilpin: @JB Gilpin: see this. maybe i can work in the nation’s capital. heard them lobbyists make lots of $ ><

@jay: Hah you are our officiall Fantasy Basketball lobbyist! If I see shitty rules in play, I’m gonna ask you to help fix em!
@JB Gilpin: Haha! Let’s do it!
I’m almost ready to rant about the 3 position eligibility of Markieff Morris. I know he has a twin but SF/PF/C? Come on!
@jay: This is OUTRAGEOUS! I am outraged! Haha. Mostly at SF…
@JB Gilpin: i agree. looks like Yahoo still reminiscing the PHO days.
@jay: Buncha crooks!
RAZZUP?!!!
gimme kyrie!
@MAC: Noice!
12 TEAM 9 CAT – Team Kraft Dinner
4. Kevin Durant
21. Al Hordord
28. Isiah Thomas
45. Gorgui Dieng
52. Nicolas Batum
69. Marcin Gortat
76. Rudy Gay
93. Chandler Parsons
100. Monta Ellis
117. Evan Turner
124. Matthew Dellavoda
141. Justise Winslow
148. Tyler Johnson
Did I kill it?
@Jesse: Whoa, awesome Parsons value! Ummm, could use a few more AST and maybe an extra block or two, but love the TO rate and percents. This is a nice squad!
Razzup, guys!
JB, thanks again for commenting on my fanta team yesterday.
K Love for 30, to mix it up a bit.
Regards from Serbia!
@Nukna: For sure man, thanks for submitting! K Love it is, good luck! Thanks for finding us over there!
Would love a team review on the pod! Are you guys doing that next week?
1. (3) Stephen Curry PG,SG
2. (22) Kristaps Porzingis PF,C
3. (27) Isaiah Thomas PG
4. (46) Pau Gasol PF,C
5. (51) Jae Crowder SF,PF
6. (70) Steven Adams C
7. (75) Darren Collison PG
8. (94) Monta Ellis PG,SG
9. (99) Robert Covington SF,PF
10. (118) Andrew Bogut C
11. (123) Kenneth Faried PF,C
12. (142) Tyler Johnson PG,SG
13. (147) Bismack Biyombo PF,C
Not sure if I’m maybe low on assists? Curry, Isaiah, Collison, Ellis. I guess Bogut/Gasol add a little bit from the C position. Maybe enough?
Can’t tell, but am I low on points?
Thanks!
@Mike: Nah we’re probably not going to have time to do Pod reviews any more 🙁 We needed to do those earlier in the offseason, my bad there! But always will do comments! I think your AST are def fine! Tyler J will help too. I expect Gasol to bounce back and RobCov to score, I think you’re OK there too. Will def need Adams to take that leap to shore up REB, but this team looks really good!
