    Hey JB, great stuff.
Trying to decide who to pick up instead of ISO Joe- Wess matthews, Markieff or Mudiay. In a points league. What you think?
    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@KevinOG: Thanks man! Hmmmm that’s close. I think I’d go upside of Matthews in Pts, he isn’t the best multi-cat in h2h, but in pts I thin he has a great shot to finish strong

  2. Joe says:
    (link)

Let’s talk strategy! I’ll preface by saying my league is 9-cat and slots PG-SG-SF-PF-C-Util-Util.

    I’m UP in FG: .453 -.443, FT .800-.692, 3PTM 21-13; PTS 257-230, AST 63-42, and TOs 36-37.

I’m DOWN in REB 113-72, ST 17-20, and BLK 6-17.

Tonight I have Redick, Durant, Taj Gibson, Zingis, and Gobert going.

Here is the question: we only do waiver adds M, W, and F so tonight is the last opportunity to make a roster change before next week. Gibson plays one more game after tonight, and that’s Saturday at ORL. Marcus Morris is a free agent and has two more games Friday vs CHA and Saturday vs ATL. Should I drop Gibson for Morris?

Also, is Gobert still a keeper for next year at a 9th round price? He’s killing me these playoffs. Absolutely killing me.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Joe: Oh mannnnn. It might be worth sitting Gobert tonight and just punt BLK and save FT%. Morris def fits your needs, I would certainly swap him with Gibson. I still think you gotta try and hold Gobert πŸ™ sorry man!

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Ugh, how gross has the Tower been?! Will def be picking Whiteside over him if I get the chance. No way you coulda told that he’d slump this bad after killin it last year. His Fgs are so low volume and not even a high % for someone who should be dunking everything in, a la DJ. So glad I traded him away in my shallow roto in a deal that got me Horford.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Joe: @Lasandro: Yeah, it’s been bad. Last night was awful too… Yeah Whiteside is looking like a 1st rounder! Rudy, maybe 4th? 3rd?

  3. Kevin says:
    (link)

    Damian Lillard for 30 tonight!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

      @Kevin: He’s a top-10 scorer so you can’t pick him πŸ™ Got another pick?

  4. Poisonous Stuff says:
    (link)

Ok too late on Mejri, got picked up an hour after I left the comment….
Here’s an update of my current semi matchup:
FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO
    .424 .780 33 365 122 72 38 14 66 <–Me
    .494 .787 29 351 112 67 30 14 45

Only 2 moves left, currently looking at replacing Douglas, Frazier, JR, maybe Motie and Beasley. Looking at Cody and Bogut. Thinking about replacing either JR or Frazier for Cody or Bogut. Who do you think will have a better game on Sat? Even tho Motie and Beasley have been bad, they still got 2 more games left Fri/Sun.

    Also, Jrue for 30!
    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Poisonous Stuff: Damnnnnn sorry about that! Hooped yesterday after work and got home and passed out pretty much right away haha. I’m such an old fart…

Yeah prob holding your Rox, although Motie might be a sit Sunday if Ft% stays that close. Same issue for Bogut as a stream, I like getting Cody prob for Frazier.

Nice call I have Jrue too!

      • Poisonous Stuff says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: No worries, not your fault, I should’ve gambled and swapped Len for Mejri Tues night, now I gotta hope Len pulls it together for the next two games and Chandler comes back because my opponent has Leur… ugh

Yeah I think I agree with the Frazier swap, since Cole still could come back and completely ruin Frazier’s value on SAT….and I feel like JR will have a revenge game against the Knicks on SAT haha. Thanks!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Poisonous Stuff: Yeah I’m not 100% Cole is back but the risk is there. Ughhh yeah I have Chandler in REL, I need him back!

Looking at how your week is going, JR is a perfect fit especially if he has that revenge game!

  5. Ryan says:
    (link)

    Gimme Melo for 30.

I’m comfortably leading a MU this week and looking at pickups worth holding for this week/next: Would you take Nurk or Leur?

I swooped up Nurk off waivers, but could see Leur being better if Tyson’s back thing lingers..

    • Ryan says:
      (link)

@Ryan: Oh yeah. I also have Baze, who’s looking prime for a cut right now. Thinking of doubling down by dropping Baze for Leur.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

        @Ryan: Nice!

Def going Leuer, worried Nurk is hurt with that knee again. I’d prob keep Baze over Nurk too, but no issue dropping Baze for another good wire add, larkin available? 5 game week!

        • Ryan says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: Thanks, forgot about BKN’s 5 game week. Swapped Baze for Larkin. Might make another move though since I anticipate reb+blks being a bigger need next week.

I imagine Larkin is going to be added in a bunch of leagues after tonight’s performance. Wtf BKN, can’t you just lose to the teams you are supposed to lose to? They’re now tied with PHX for the third worst record at 20-51. Wonder what happens in the lottery if two teams are tied for the worst record? I really want Boston to win the Ingram/Simmons sweepstakes!

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Ryan: Noice! Yeah and it’s looking saucy with a nice game last night. Hahahaha if Boston did that, it would be insane!

  6. Lior says:
    (link)

Doug McDermott for 30 in NYC tonight! Haha wishful thinking…if only he or Dellavedova could’ve dropped 30 last night for my commenters REL team in the semifinals. I started both over Elfrid, damnit! We’re neck and neck though, so I can live with it. I was hoping for some extra 3s from one of those 2. Oh well. JB, if you wanna check out how our league is going, the link is right here:
    https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/78443
Also, we still have at least 5 spots to fill next year. Help would be much appreciated!
Good luck in your matchup with Slim!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lior: Oh no! Haha if McDermott gets 30, that’d be insane!

We’ll def help ya out! I got your contact info so we can run a post or something to help fill it out down the road.

Also – be sure to remind your league this is the last week for pickups. At least that’s how we do REL, I hate how Yahoo has 2 waiver periods after the finals wrap up when the seaso is over anyway,…

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lior: Wait, you just said good luck to slim, but not me?!?!?!

      • Lior says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Haha no, I meant good luck to you going up against Slim! Slim’s already leading so I won’t wish him any more luck…
Good point about the FAAB, I’ll put up a league message. Makes no sense to have waiver periods after the playoffs end.
Thanks again for all the help filling out the league!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Lior: Ohhhhhhh I missed the “with” πŸ™‚ Feels like the whole world is against me with all these sudden DNPs thus far!

Yup that’s our league’s thinking too!

Any time, very honored an REL2 was made!

PG-13 Scores 40 tonight vs the Weak and beat up Pels. No Brow, No Bueno!

BOOK IT! (Just saying. . He’ll at least score 30 lol)

      @Bye Felica: Can’t pick Pg13! he’s 10th in scoring! Gotta go under top 10

      • Bye Felica says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: He is? I didn’t think he was that high in scoring this year? Pts must be down because he’s only had a few 30 pt games this year

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

@Bye Felica: According to ESPN he was… Might be right on the edge now

    Just entered 30 contests.

Wish me luck, I like playing short schedule nights.

@Bye Felica: Whoa awesome! 30 No Halftime contests?

      • Bye Felica says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin: no, DFS
and i just lost around $120 because PG and Jru are hurt. Unreal

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Bye Felica: Oh OK. Yeeeeesh yeah that’s a big reason I avoid DFS, a couple years ago I centered around Brow and he got hurt like 3 mins in although that’s common for him now ha

          • Bye Felica says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: i ended up winning one out of 30 lol

At least i mitigate my losses to $70 instead of $120. But now have 6 players DTD or IR headed into the finals this week. Think im taking a year off from fantasy after basketball is over. No baseball or football for me this year. I’ll just play in the REL. I need a break after playing 6+yrs of all 3sports, multiple sites 10+leagues per sport, DFS, & Betting O/U and other props.

            I’m suffering from fantasy/gambling overload.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Bye Felica: Damn… Well, it coulda been 0! Yeah I get that way sometimes too, but I don’t gamble on DFS and don’t play for too much money or else it would drive me insane and i couldnt write after being so frustrated haha

  10. Lasandro says:
    (link)

Probably stop highlighting players and they may perform well haha! First i streamed J-Rich (thanks for the shoutout btw), then I streamed miro today and poo-polaaaaa. So, let’s look at tomorrow’s lineups..

My two stream spots are currently occupied with J-Rich (yes, I’m giving him another shot) vs ORL and G Harris vs LAL. I’m in need of volume FGs that won’t kill my %s and add to the 3s column and potentially stls. Brds would be nice, but not urgently needed. Other options:

    – Leuer vs SAC – you love forwards against SAC, dont ya? If Chandler is indeed out, he may be a better option than the aformentioned two?
    – Marvin vs DET – I had him for that insane stretch then dropped him after he did his ankle. His last game vs DET was quite tasty.
    – KCP vs CHA
    – Kieff vs MIN (but those TOs doe.. yuck)
    – Matthews vs GS (very intriguing, as his shot has fallen the past two, with Parsons out)

Likely that some of these options will be gone by the time you respond, so would appreciate your preference in order please. I’m really only keeping Harris right now because he may go off against LAL. But as you can see, there are some nice matchups against crappy defensive teams elsewhere.

    Oh oh, and it’s pronounced “Sa-laa Mez-ree” πŸ™‚

    • Bye Felica says:
      (link)

      @Lasandro: I’d roll with Mathews & Harris

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Nice one @Bye Felicia! Well, just as I posted this, Rotoworld came out with a report saying that Chandler isn’t traveling with the Suns and will miss the tilt against SAC, so I went ahead and dropped Harris for Leuer. He’s a sure bet to shoot more, so all I am hoping for is that he hits on roughly 50% of those. He should contribute a 3 and some brds too. As is stands, my two current streams are JRich and Leuer. Happy with those, for now… but Wessy Wes really has me thinkin.. Klay defending him needs to be taken into account. And ORL plays at such a fast pace, which should help JRich.

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Let me also add that Mack may now be a drop for me. I’ve kept him because he’s helped me in stls, 3s and A/To. Even though his TOs have been stupid of late, he was doing a good job of getting high end assist to improve that ratio. Today could’ve just been a dud and UTA do have a good bunch of games left in their sched. If you think any of the guys mentioned above may be of better use to my needs, please let me know. Lin is also chillin on the wire and he has a back to back coming up against DET and MIL..

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Bye Felica: @Lasandro: Ha! Yeah that’s the peril of streaming, you go for the guy who was hot last night but not a must own, and then you see WHY he’s not a must own haha.

Yeah I love to pick on SAC matchups, Leuer and Jrich are my top 2 as well. Maybe only 2-3 treys total, but nice FG!. Hmmmm, Mack vs those guys. I might go to Matthews since AST doesn’t sound like a need. How much you need a/to help?

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@jb gilpin: it’s halftim and JRich only has the 5pts with no 3s and absolutely no other stats. I swear to GOD JB!! If he shts the bed for the second time I picked him in a row, I’m done with him and streaming absolutely anyone you suggest in your article haha.

I’m already planning on streaming mejri over turner, despite Myles’ insane game. Putting it down to PG getting injured. He’s already talking about returning in the next one.

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@jb gilpin: AND leuer! Hahaha this has been a hilarious couple of days for me in fantasy. Rich was fine but where’s the D!?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Lasandro: PLaying 16 minutes with people hurt after 32 and 42 minutes is absurdity, a little foul trouble didn’t help, can’t predict that!
