I dropped Ibaka and picked up Taj, and have no regrets given his rainbow line last night and 5 games next week. At this point i rather own beasley than ibaka -.- what a waste of a 2nd pick and maybe the reason I’m not gonna win.

my team: Harden, draymond, dragic, ellis, dieng, knight, covington, taj, gortat, clarkson, barton, beasley.

On the wire: lance, jeremi grant, payton, crowder, aaron gordon.

Anyone I need to pick up? I kinda like beasley and his usage rate. and points is something i need this week. and he has 4 games this week.

      @Jeremy Chung:

Also, who would you start tmr? Beasley or Covington?

@Jeremy Chung: Yeah man, if Taj’s hammy stays healthy I think it’s a solid swap! Hah I dunno about Beasley but I hear ya 🙂

If Pts is a dire need, I’m totally good with keeping him. Looks like BLK would help though, I’d prob rather own Grant.

Ummm, I don’t trust the Sixers, gimme Beasley haha

          @JB Gilpin:

          Thanks for the insight.

just realize josh richardson is there too, may swap beasley for him or grant depends how they do tonight and tmr.

    Sup JB!?

Sooo, Parsons is likely done for the year, Matthews is floating on my waiver wire, and I’m considering scooping him for Mahinmi. I just need any kind of production, not really targeting any specific cats, and Matthews will probably play close to 40 min per game. Mahinmi is meh, you know what you have with him, nothing spectacular. I own Garry Harris, Avery Bradley and Rodney Hood, but I’m not willing to part ways with them, what do you think?

    • JB Gilpin

@Melo: Uggghhhhh yeah that happened right after our show, horrible break. Def holding those last 3 G you mention. I kinda like Mahinmi next to them since they should provide plenty of 3s and I still can’t make myself trust Wes J…

    Hello!

Playing against no 1 seed and team starting to struggle. Need some help with pick ups if you please. Here’s the squad: 9 cat 12 tm h2h

Curry, walker, Rubio, clarkson, Deangelo Russel, beal, mudiay

Deandre, Drummond, favors, Len, jerami grant, Cunningham

im gonna see how Cunningham plays as he has 3 games on non busy nights, though I feel ajinca might be better in the end… I feel mudiays spot is a stream and even clarkson/Russel might need to be dropped for the likes of:

Leuer, markieff, bazemore, biyombo, Amir Johnson, mason plumlee, motiejunas, Nurkic, olynyk, farmer, pachulia, Felton?

I’m punting ft, but I feel that in this specific matchup it’s gonna come down to stl blk and fg. I already am losing fg 40% vs 46% so not even sure if I should continue pursuing that cat. He has me in points. 3s ast TO are a toss up, but I’ve got Rebs

    Thanks a lot!

@runfast: Yo! I’d probably hold the Lakers, although wanna see if there’s anything serious with this D’Angelo leg bruise. If you have unlimited moves though, then yeah I would stream away! Ummm, it’s still REALLLLY early in the week, and with all those bigs, I wouldn’t punt FG% yet. Curry should help swing back Pts and 3s. I’d maximize the best players on a full night tonight then stream away for Thur!

Just read in the above comment that you don’t really trust Wes despite his apprent spike in usage now. for tomorrow, which two streams would you go with: Bradley v TOR, G Harris v PHI (this seems a given) or Wes v POR (had a decent last game)?

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Decided to go between Bradley and Harris, as I’m needing the volume scoring, 3s and stls. Which one of these two mate?

      • JB Gilpin

        (link)

@Lasandro: Well yeah, usage can only do so much as he’s only had 1 good game the past 4. I’m sticking with Bradley and Harris. Oh you need only one… Eeeeshhh.. I’m feeling a little bold actually, gimme Bradley!

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@jb gilpin: gah! I ended up taking Harris.. Which means that Bradley’s gonna have a double rainbow 30 burger 🙁

yo guys, hahah i admit the things you brought back were hilarious, but on the real, what we are here for is quality fantasy bball content to win our leagues. The hilarity that happens is just a nice side dish.

I have used 2/3 moves already but am owning in most categories (score is 7-1 with even games going forward)

I picked up Ray Macallum yesterday because of his minutes 2 games ago, but the arrival of Jordan Farmar makes it seem Macallum will not be the PG to own in Memphis. My question is: does Farmar have enough upside/appeal to use my last waiver move of the week on a Tuesday? 16 team 9cat h2h league. my gut is telling me to hold and see if anybody else emerges this week.

Also was able to pick up Rondae Hollis Jefferson, which was perfect as I needed rebounds and steals. What do you guys think of his opportunity/upside going forward? with Joe Johnson out, it would be better than before the injury right?

    as always, much appreciated

@patrickindo: Hahaha thanks man. We take our commenters seriously so we decided to amp it up haha.

Nice work so far! Yeah I am def holding, Grizz only have 1 more game the rest of the week. I’d look to get at least 2-3 games out of that last stream spot.

Assumedly so for RHJ, but ya never know off serious injuries and if they limit him. I’d prob hold him until Saturday then if you still have that stream and he’s still at 15 mpg you can swap him out.

      Any time!

    Hello JB!

Long time since I commented. Listening to your podcasts though 🙂 Season went by too quickly.

I am in a keeper league and I just picked up Salah Mejri after his big game over the weekend. I am in the Semi Finals losing 3-5 presently. Should I drop Mejri after tonights game and stream someone else? Or is he a good keeper going forward. I can keep everyone on my team next year if I want so its like a keeper plus dynasty type of format. I am weak on PF/C . Currently I have Noel , Myles Turner( your boyfriend) ,Gobert, Capela, Aldridge, Jaymachal Green and Embiid on IR.

I held on to Capela whole year and it really hurt me a lot. Should I hang on till next year because I kept him for so long anyway??

Thanksss , hope married life is treating you well !

@Blint: Hah yeah season flew by, thanks for listening as always!

Mehhhh yeah I’m not too big on Mejri. Short term this year, yeah he’s fine, but yeah not a great keeper to me. Def like Capela more as a keeper, but yeah… Hasn’t been good lately.

Totally good streaming Mejri’s spot after tonight.

Married life is great, still tweaking our new house to how we want it, that battle will never end! haha

    Hello!

With the news of Salah Mejri starting, is it worth dropping Miro, Frazier, Douglas, JR, Motie, or Beasley for him?
The issue is if I drop the first 4 guys right now, I would lose the Thursday games. But if I wait till tomorrow, he will most likely be gone tonight if he has another good game. Also, I currently only have 3 games on Sunday with Harden, Motie, Beasley. What are your thoughts? Here is the current score:

FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO
    .385 .848 10 189 77 43 20 13 42 <–Me
    .471 .800 15 191 60 41 20 5 21

@Poisonous Stuff: Hmmm that is a quandary. Do you have a full lineup tonight? If so, I’m not gonna sacrifice a game tomorrow just to bench someone for Mejri. I’d keep your Thur guys then see what you need to stream by Sunday!

      • Poisonous Stuff says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I do have a full lineup today but our leagues pickups don’t activate until the next day, so I won’t be able to use Mejri tonight even if I pick him up now.

        • JB Gilpin

Learned the hard way tonight with Deng that ESPN injury updates (or possible rest) come too late to adjust. Is there a preferred site or service that provides injury updates or “possible rest” updates prior to tip off?

#left a triple double on my bench

  12. Foreign Affairs says:

My suggestion for this years Razzies is the “Why Can’t I Quit You” award for the player that you might have drafted or picked up near the start then either dropped or held onto for a stupid amount of time despite terrible production and losing out on the hot wire action, before getting tired and dropping them. Only to run after them with boombox, flowers and cowboy hat trying to get them back but you see that they’ve moved on to a new team.

To name a few guys for me this year

Myles Turner (absolute zero at the start, gets hurt, assume its to late for him to get a solid role and comes back and does what JB said he would do but not for you)

    Aaron Gordon (Skiles!!!!!)

Lance Stephenson (after last seasons crap show he continues to abuse owners in deeper leagues with his will he won’t he antics for the revolving door that is Clippers small forward, to the point it’s like Memphis pff pass….wait…why now…its been almost two years you bastard!!!!!

and special mention for any dynasty owner in the playoffs who had stuck with him for so long at one point or kept falling in and out with the one and only

MICHAEL BEASLEY, until finally giving up on him in China this year to have him come back and do 18.5 and 8 on 59.6% shooting during a 4 game week for the first round of the playoffs…..FFFFFF UUUUUUU
