It’s not easy being green, especially the green, red and silver of the Bucks. However, as the team battles to retain playoff positioning (never too early to think about that), one interesting name has risen. As frequent commenter Frank brought up the other day, John Henson is being mentioned more and more often. Last night, he had 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. He is averaging 11 points, 9 rebounds and a block for the month of January. Here’s some other news and highlights from this weekend:

Anthony Davis – The rookie had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. His production in January has been inconsistent, but the talent is still there. By which I mean, you have to ride this out. Sorry.

Amir Johnson – He tallied 22 points, 14 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks to best teammate Ed Davis‘ 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. I don’t need to talk about these guys anymore, right?

Alexey Shved – Went blank from the field (0-7), but still managed 1 rebound, 5 assists, 2 steals and a block.

Ricky Rubio – He too dropped a goose egg (0-6) and earned 2 assists and 3 steals. Unlike Rubio, Shved was never accompanied with a palpable excitement. Where is the Rubio everyone was waiting for? You’ve probably invested too much in him to cut bait now, but man, he sure is testing your patience, huh?

Chris Duhon – Despite missing all 4 shots (including 3 from downtown), he still had 7 assists (plus a rebound and 2 steals) in 20 minutes. Here’s another name that keeps resurfacing. As a deep league option, though, the potential for one good game a week is worth the add.

Spencer Hawes – On Saturday, 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks, plus a three just to complete the package. I guess he’s finally comfortable being the featured big man for the Sixers.

Jameer Nelson – One of the league’s top dime men dished out 11 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals on Saturday, but he missed 5 of 7 from downtown and 10 of 14 overall. Seems there was a lot of bad luck floating around.

Blake Griffin – Blake, on the other hand, hit 15 of 22 to finish with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and a block.

Goran Dragic – He had 8 assists but only 7 points on Saturday due to poor shooting (2-8, 1-4 from downtown). Certainly a buy candidate if his owners are antsy.

Mario Chalmers – He had 34 points on Saturday thanks to a lethal 10 of 13 from the perimeter, although the peripheral stats weren’t that great (2 boards, 3 dimes, 2 takeaways). As usually happens when he goes on an offensive explosion, I must warn you that these type of nights occur about as often as a sober Lindsay Lohan.

Stephen Curry – He went 7 of 9 from and 11 of 18 overall to finish with 29 points, 7 assists and a steal last night. His offensive output is still solid, but it’s interesting that his rebounding has diminished this month (2.6 in January vs. 4.8 in December).

Roy Hibbert – With 6 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks, his streak of double digit boards is now firmly behind him, but he is still prolific block maker.

Iman Shumpert – He has been cleared to return and may do so Thursday in London. Not sure why the team would make him travel all the way to England to debut, but I would go if I was him. As they say in the United Kingdom, ¡muy bueno!

@timmy riggins: I don’t like anyone on the wire better than your roster, but if you were looking to shake things up, I can see trying to move Dunleavy or Barnes while their value is high.

I’m in 14 team h2h 9 cat keeper league. We keep 5. Anyway I was offered al jefferson holiday for my cousins iggy and Illyasova. Is this a trade I accept? Is this trade fairly even?

@Ryan: I would do that ttrade in a heartbeat. I just don’t trust Cousins and ilyasova is up and down.

@Ryan: I wouldn’t give up three players for one, but that’s my personal preference.

    Hi

Do you know what’s going on with Kyle Lowry? Is the low minutes to feature Calederon for a trade or is it because Lowry is playing that bad?

    • daniel says:

      @Jeff:

Yea, i am very curious about lowry too, he performs better than calderon for the most part, but does the coach rather have calderon because he syncs more into the team?

    • ChrisV

      ChrisV says:

@Jeff: I think it’s just a mix of Lowry hitting a rough patch and the coach playing the matchups.

10Team H2H Weekly with 4 bench spots – Do everything to keep Love or drop him for Amir Johnson? Is there someone I should target in a trade for Love or expect everyone to think he is drop worthy?

    • ChrisV

      ChrisV says:
      (link)

@Zandy: I think in 10 team H2H, you drop him. He will be back just in time for fantasy playoffs, so if you think you can ride him out, then stash him. My philosophy is, get to the playoffs first, then worry about playing in them.

I’m not sure if you can move him. The value you get back probably wouldn’t be worth more than Amir.

In a Dynasty League (keep 11 in the offseason), in a 10-team league, with standard cats +OREB what would you do with this squad?
    Pg: Jennings, Nash, nelson, Vasquez

Sg: Wade, Kobe Bryant, Wes Matthews, Evan Turner

    Sf: Lebron, Kirilenko, Derrick Williams

    Pf: Nowitzki, Seraphin

C: Howard, Noah, Hibbert, Robin Lopez,

@Pavel: See if you can move AK47 for a younger piece. Depending on where you are in the standings, I would also consider making a big splash by moving Kobe or Howard.

@ChrisV: I see what you’re saying. Id be down to move Dwight for another piece, but who would I try to grab with him?

Im in a serious bind and need some help. I am in an 8 team 9 CAT keeper league, currently sitting in 2nd place but have lost a lot of ground. I made a couple REALLY bad trades for myself. It is a serious shady league, the LM is out only to benefit himself and vetos a lot of trades for zero reason but I need to figure something out.
This is how my team stands right now.
PG: Tony Parker, Jeremy Lin, Andre Miller
SG: James Harden, Demar DeRozan, Eric Gordon, JJ Redick
    SF: Metta World, Jared Dudley
PF: Blake Griffin, Ryan Anderson, LaMarcus Aldridge
C: Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Emeka Okafor

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!
