Hey! Yeah, you. No, not you. The guy reading this over your shoulder with the “Over 40 & Feelin’ Foxy” t-shirt on. Yeah, you. You seem like the kind of cat who might enjoy a free $100 Friday night winning spree.  Razzball sponsor Daily Joust is offering up a chance* at another cool Franklin for  entrants into tonight’s fantasy hoops contest. It’s free to enter. Free to poke around. Free to build a one-night only fantasy team with a chance at a payout big enough to buy you all the steak you can eat (assuming you can’t eat more than $100 worth of steak). It’s free to press the enter button and free to wait for only good things to happen to you.

Hit it up. What are your alternatives? Going over your Grammy ballot a third time? C’mon. Grammy ballots aren’t even really a thing!

*The only exclusion for this contest is if someone has 1 or more wins in a NBA contest at Daily Joust.

Adam, how would you rank: Rudy Fernandez, Shump and Afflalo?

    • Lance says:
      (link)

      @Lance, And Ariza

      • Adam

        Adam says:
        (link)

@Lance, RuFer, Ariza, Shump and Afflalo.

  2. Nick says:
    (link)

Who would you drop and pick up out of these players? In need of rebounds/blocks/fg%

    Drop
    Kemba Walker
    Greivis Vasquez
    Randy Foye
    Jerryd Bayless

    Add
    Haslem
    Booker
    Ilyasova
    Blair
    Splitter

I’m leaning toward dropping Bayless or Kemba (probably Bayless) for Booker, what do you think?

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Nick, Yup, Drop Bayless, add Booker.

  3. Lou says:
    (link)

12 tm 9 cat: trying to sell high on Tony Parker. Kevin Martin is probably low enough right now to get consideration. Hes slumping and his minutes is a joke. Thats going to blow over right?

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Lou, Yeah. No one seems to know what the problem is, but he’s apparently uninjured and it’s not like he’s some rookie with a good week. He’s a legitimate scorer in a slump. I’m not too worried, yet.

  4. Jeremy says:
    (link)

For a quick add for threes would you go Novak or Neal tonight?

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Jeremy, Novak. I have no idea how to explain these Knicks, but I’m sure as hell not poo-pooing any of them anymore.

      • Jeremy says:
        (link)

@Adam, effin opponent already got novak…again this guy out poaches me! Took neal instead. Nets are giving up the most 3’s out of any team though so I’m not feelin so bad about it

        • Adam

          Adam says:
          (link)

@Jeremy, Yeah. It’s not as if Neal HASN’T been draining threes lately. Nine in his last three games ain’t nothin’ to scoff at.

  5. Shawn says:
    (link)

I just traded O.J Mayo for Jarrett Jack
    – I already have Jason Richardon and Dudley and J.R smith so I can afford to lose 3’s
    needed a PG
    I have 0nly rose/Mario Chalmers/dragic/foye as PGs eEE
Did I do the right thing Adam?
    thanks. HOpe all is well!
add me to twitter man! Shawnbzilla

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Shawn, Well, Jack is out for at least a week, and a couple different reports aren’t positive he’ll be healthy by then. If both are healthy, Jack is more valuable, but … he ain’t healthy.

  6. Shawn says:
    (link)

also.. Not sure if I should have done this but meh.. What do you think? is it that bad or what?

    I traded Blake/Rondo
    5 keepers

    Trade Accepted

    traded Michael Beasley,
    traded Russell Westbrook,
    traded Serge Ibaka,

    HIGH traded Blake Griffin
    HIGH traded Nicolas Batum
    HIGH traded Rajon Rondo

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Shawn, Westbrook is probably the most valuable and Ibaka is all you’ll need as far s blocks go. I worry that Beasley is too weak to make up for losing Rondo and Griffin. It sort of depends on your team’s needs.

  7. ALkoholic says:

varejao is out broken wrist, any adds worthy of grabbing

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@ALkoholic, Samardo Samuels and Ryan Hollins (in that order) are the vulture adds in Cleveland.

  8. noz says:
    (link)

mo williams or jamal crawford ROS?

  9. noz says:
    (link)

mo williams, jamal crawford, raymond felton..need 2

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@noz, Mo, Jamal, Ray in that order unless assists are a premium for you. Then Felton is probably the most valuable.

  10. josh says:
    (link)

hey adam, i am in desperate need of assists/3s. i am dominating in blocks and rebounds (w/bynum, gooden, ibaka, j smoove, bosh, gay). i just proposed bynum and gooden for a solid guard on the facebook group for my league. (hoping to get an offer of deron williams, rondo, etc).

I already have jason kidd, dj augustin on reserve though so i dont know how well i will do in the future.

do you think my proposal is okay? idk about you but i feel like the offer i am giving favors the other person.

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@josh, Yeah. At this point in the season, it’s not crazy to willingly overpay for something you need. If you’ve got a plethora of bigs, why NOT toss out a few of them for one premium guard?

  11. ALkoholic says:
    (link)

@noz i like crawford and felton(for his assist) but mo wouldnt hurt any team either and has a better shooting percentage and scores more than felton if you dont need assist

  12. Shawn says:
    (link)

    Receive LaMarcus Aldridge
    Receive John Wall
    Receive Serge Ibaka

    Send Derrick Rose
    Send Tiago Splitter
    Send Al Horford

Would you rather have Rose/James/Al Horford or LaMarcus/James/Wall going in to next season

    3keepers – thx man

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

      @Shawn, Rose/James/Al by far.

  13. fitz says:
    (link)

I am trying to sell high on David West after 2 solid games. I offered West/Augustin for Amare. I’m new to fantasy basketball does this seem like a reasonable trade?

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@fitz, Not bad. Amar’e hasn’t played since the death of his brother and wasn’t playing particularly well before that. You might catch Stoudemire’s owner at a time he’s willing to give up on him. Then again, it’s not as if Augustin is healthy. I might want more for Stoudemire, but it’s not so lopsided that it couldn’t work. See how it goes. Good luck.

  14. Dimitri says:
    (link)

adam, would you give up pekovic and igoudala to receive hibbert and matthews?

    my team is:
    pg: lowry, lawson
    sg: ginobili, harden, brooks, budinger
    sf: igoudala, dudley
    pf: stat, gasol
    C: pekovic, brook lopez, ibaka

trying to lock up atleast 5 cats of: fg%,ft%,3pm,pts,rebs,blocks,TOs…i dont think i have enough blocks? need atleast 35 a week in h2h..whats your thoughts? lemme know man, keep up great work as always

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@Dimitri, Nah. You could use the ace SF more than the solid C. And that’s assuming Pekovic takes a step back. If he doesn’t, you DEFINITELY don’t want to make this deal. If blocks are a necessity, you could always rotate your Budinger/Brooks spots for strategic big men available in the FA pool that can bring you closer to those 35-ish blocks per week you’re going after.
