Don't be shellfish...Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterShare on Google+

It’s that time of year.  You’re either chomping at the bit because you’re in a good position for the playoffs, or you’ve sworn off even looking at your league because you’re too frustrated Derrick Rose never helped you out.  That’s why it’s an awesome time to check out our friends at DraftKings, where you can draft a new roster every day and win big money prizes.  In a special day of contests with an almost full slate of NBA action, it’s a perfect time to hop into one of three different $10,000 contests going on tonight!  Buy in for as little as $11!  Or you can up your bet for a bigger chance of winning for $109 or $1,050.  There’s $10,000 to be won for all levels of players!  And I’m gonna help you win that money with some insight on players who are going to be huge tonight that you can get on the cheap:

Mo Williams ($3,000) – Reports are coming out that Mo could return to action tonight, and coach Tyrone Corbin has said he will be immediately put back into the starting five.  You’ll definitely need to keep an eye on the starting line-up before you solidify your DraftKings roster (isn’t it awesome you can tweak it until tip! Ok that didn’t sound right), but Mo could give ya 15 Pts and 8 Asts in 30 minutes for a guy that will only cost ya a few peanuts.

Marcus Thornton ($6,000) – As I said in today’s recap, the Bayou Bomber has been unreal of late, putting up 30 3s in the last 10.  Playing tonight against the Warriors, look for the Kings to give Thornton another 10 shots behind the arc (he took 11 last night) and get his points into the high 20s again.  Great play.

Manu Ginobili ($6,000) – The Spurs didn’t have to extend Manu’s numbers much blowing out the terrible Pistons by 40 last Sunday, but with Tony Parker out and Ginobili getting closer to 100%, look for the Spurs to run him closer to 30 minutes against the Bulls tonight.  He’s only one game removed from a career high 15 assists last week, and will be called upon to facilitate the offense.  Love his value.

Kawhi Leonard ($5,600) – As much as I only wanted to pick players whose first names started with M, I love Kawhi’s game and he’s been stuffing the stat sheet like a Thanksgiving Turkey of late.  Ok so that’s not exactly the most topical reference, but I could have Thanksgiving every week.  I expect Kawhi to be in that 14-6-4-2-1 range he’s been in lately.

Steve Nash ($5,400) – Coming off two straight good fantasy games, I think Nash is a great value tonight with Metta World Peace coming off a rolled ankle and Kobe getting his funny bone a little too funnied last night.  I could see an 18 Pt 3 Reb 8 Ast kind of night for Nash, which would be great value for the price.

Al-Farouq Aminu ($5,100) – We all know Kobe shoots too much, and in a game where the Lakers probably don’t need too much to win, I think Kobe could be wildly inefficient and Aminu gets 10+ boards.  Not to mention World Peace’s bum ankle, and this could be another solid across the board game for the roto-master.

Good luck tonight, win them dollah bills!

Should i drop danny granger for mo williams? This is a 10 person h2h league. My team is: Irving, Jsmoove, Ibaka, Russel W, James Harden, Derrick Rose, Kemba Walker, Raymond Felton, Chris Bosh, Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, and Eric Gordon

@Jesse: I would in a heart beat. Granger is a shell of his former self right now and the Jazz need Williams to keep them in playoff contention. The Pacers need Granger to help in the playoffs which they have a good seed it looks like. Plus Mo has the upside and your roster looks pretty nasty.

@Jesse: I thought I answered this twice! Haha thought I was going crazy. At least you know I’m consistent!

Who do like better as a pickup for today, Kanter or Ed Davis?

Actually make that Kanter, Ed Davis, or Nate Robinson.

@Aaron: I hate Nate Robinson. Maybe because I’m tall and I feel like all short people are hiding something. Give me Kanter. Favors is playing well too, but he got benched down the stretch in favor (pun!) of Kanter.

@Rob: Eeesh has it really come to this, Mullens? I know the trade deadline is close if you’re in a league that has one, but I’d try and wait and see how many minutes and how effective Mullens is tonight returning from a sore knee. If it’s like a 20 min 5 Pt 4 Reb night, I do it.

Hey you may right about Rose’s comeback date cause the coach just said he should be back soon and now he’s posted day to day and that came out of his mouth.. Lets hope!!! I agree with you, after this road trip. He wouldn’t come back on the road would he? Also good thing I waited for Jameer Nelson cause he’s been killing it. 16 points n 14 ass.. You know when you have those 2 guys on your team you keep rotating? Well now that I got him healthy, now I’m down to 1 and that 1 is Ariza and he’s been doing real good. At least while beal is out.. Any new news or advise?

Hey buddy.. Also, Anderson Varejao is on the wire right now and he has I think the same thing as nelson had. Nobody can really grab him cause everyone else is fighting for playoffs and can’t afford it.. Do you think I should grab him for Ariza so I have him for the playoffs? Unless you don’t think he’s worth it or is he gonna be out long??

@Frank Lynch: No no, I hold onto Ariza. Love what he’s doing. Yea I’m surprised how many minutes they’re giving Nelson right out of the gate, but he’s doing great! I think you stand pat with those guys.

Yeahbut when Beal comes back it won’t nearly be so sweet right? Also I’m looking long term through the playoffs.. this guy Anderson V has an average of 14 points 14 reb. If he comes back soon then with Beal back soon, you don’t think thats a wise pickup?? Especially if Rose doesn’t come back… IDK, you know alot more then me but if this were your team, what would you do? Not talking about for now, just talkin about for a week n a half from now for playoffs?
