Once again, it is Wednesday, and the NBA has 11 contests set for tonight. If you’re looking to try your hand at some big stakes fantasy action, then our friends at DraftKings have a competition called “Big NBA Wednesday,” which features $20,000 guaranteed in prizes. Considering a rod came loose and destroyed my engine today, I am looking at either $5,000 in repair and labor or getting a new vehicle, so I sure could use some money. Maybe your car works fine, but who can say no to fabulous cash prizes?

Let’s see if I can help you earn some dough. For this week’s strategyNow, , let’s find a guy that can give maximum value across as many categories as possible. Kevin Durant ($10,800) has been averaging 35+ points per game over the past 2 weeks, but if you want someone who will give you some rebounds, how about DeMarcus Cousins ($9,300) and his 22 points, 12 rebound games? Don’t forget, DraftKings awards 1.5 points for double doubles.  Better yet, not only do you get extra points for DDs, but you get extra points for assists, so you could also roll with Tony Parker ($7,400), who can give you 23 points and 8 assists per game, although he is going up against a solid San Antonio team. No one is hitting more 3PG this month than Stephen Curry ($7.500). He comes at a reasonable price considering he delivers 4.4 threes per night, which compliments his nearly 25 points and 7 assists, plus 2 steals. Steals (and blocks) are worth 2 points each. Due to his impressive January, I would pick Curry as my main entree.

Now, if you’d like to capitalize on those juicy Blocks points and try and get a double double, be warned – both Tim Duncan and Anthony Davis are day to day, with Duncan definitely ruled out for tonight. However, you can get Serge Ibaka for the right price ($6,000), and over the past week, he has been producing 12 points, 9 rebounds and 2 1/2 blocks. He’s worth the “gamble,” and even if he can’t make it to 10/10, you’re still going to get generous swats.

Alright, folks, good luck to you tonight, and if you win big, feel free to help me get a car (just kidding, buy yourself a car…or maybe just Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which seems to be the game all my friends are playing).
