Don't be shellfish...Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterShare on Google+

Paul George came into the season with some massive hype, including some by yours truly.  Then Danny Granger got injured and the hype ballooned even more.  The only problem was that the balloon was filled with carbon dioxide (CO2 for you nerds) and not helium.  So if you learned anything from Bill Nye the Science Guy (not Mr. Wizard, he’s a dick), then you know that the balloon sunk.  Shooting below 40% from the field until the past 2 games, get ready for the balloon to defy the laws of nature and begin to rise.  George has exploded with a 34 point game and a 22 point game back to back (I’m writing this before Friday’s games… Morning Addendum:  22 points again last night, window closing fast if it hasn’t already).  I think he’s finally beginning to grasp his role and will be ready to make the leap into the fantasy elite.  In fact, it may be too late to get him but just in case somebody thinks this is a sell high opportunity, pounce on him.  Kinda like how those ninja’s pounced on me this week.  God I hate ninjas.

BUY

Carlos Delfino – After reading that buy on George it’s a total buzz kill to jump down to someone of Delfino’s level but at 12% owned he is readily available to help fantasy owners.  I know Chandler Parsons and Patrick Patterson are rightfully getting all the buzz down in Houston, but Deflino will still be a valuable contributor.  Averaging 9/4/2/1.5 with 1.5 three’s per game in 28 minutes last year, he is healthy again and has multi-cat help if you can take a slight hit in points.

Gerald Henderson – I hate Duke.  Seriously, f*** Duke, but sometimes in fantasy you have to put aside your grudges and do the best thing possible to get your team to win.  Averaging 15/4/2/1 last year, Henderson should get plenty of burn now that he’s healthy.  Snag him off the wire if he’s still available but be warned he put up 18 points on Wednesday and 19 points last night, so act quickly.

Andrei Kirilenko – Well, well, well, AK47…. We meet again.  This time you’re in the buy section instead of the sell section.  See how fickle fantasy is?  After beginning the season with an absolutely amazing stretch of basketball, I told you to sell before Kevin Love comes back.  Well, Love is back and AK47 has been injured.  He won’t put up the top 20 production from earlier, but he will still be valuable.  Snipe him from someone who is too worried.

Ricky Rubio  - 72% owned and supposed to be back in a week or so.  Just make sure he’s not available.

SELL

Tyreke Evans – I may have mentioned this once or twice, but I hate the Kings.  I’ve always been more of a republic guy myself, or hell… even an oligarchy, but Kings are the worst.  They’re selfish, inconsistent, and chop their girlfriends’ heads off.  The past two weeks or so Evans, has gone on a tear averaging 22/4.5/4.5/1.8/1.0 with one 3PM and shooting 50% FG, 80% FT.  Sell him before he goes on a stat correction … or the police arrest him for chopping his girlfriend’s head off.  His day-to-day injury may buy you the time you need to sell.

Ben Gordon – Guess who’s back… back again.  Henderson’s back, sell that Ben.  Seriously though, Ben Gordon is like a feast or famine receiver in fantasy football.  Some nights he’s amazing and others he just stinks.

Jameer Nelson – WHAT?  HE’S HEALTHY?!  QUICK!  SELL!  SELL!  SELL!

Andray BlatcheBrook Lopez will be back soon and Blatche will be sent to the bench.  Has he earned more minutes?  Most likely, but try and cash in on his performance if you can.

I happen to have both Tyreke and Jameer….I’m in a 16 team league 15 player roster. What type of player do you think I should target if I were to package the both if them?

    Heres my roster:

    Jameer Nelson
    Kobe Bryant
    Manu Ginobli
    Jordan Crawford
    Larry sanders
    Pau Gasol
    Luis Scola
    Tyreke Evans
    Nikola Vucevic
    Robin Lopez
    J.J Barea

    Bench:
    Kyle Korver
    Amare Stoudemire
    Trevor Ariza
    Zaza

Also ive been trying to move Kobe for an upgrade like LBJ or Chris Paul……currently sitting in 6th in an 8 cat league…just acquired Lopez and Sanders because I was at the bottom in blocks.

    Any insight would be welcomed.

@Chris: Might be best to package Jameer and Kobe for someone. Not sure if you can get LeBron with that, but it’s worth a shot.

@Chris: Nah, Rubio is a huge question mark. I think Pau will rebound.

Would you give up Gallinari or Iguodala for Paul George? I have a guy in my league trying to unload him.

    good read.

I traded ClayT and KG for Wade – Knight and Gneal just now
    It was sent to me.
    now I have LBj/Wade/Westbrook/Millsap/Batum..

also traded Big baby and Kaman for Nene( only bc big b was killin me in FG% sure he gets 15p but it takes him so many shoots to get there lol and kaman, just time before he goes down
Im in first so i think i can sit on nene/wade.. they should well.. wade sh ould be ballin after the all-star game

    what do u think?
how did I make out u think?

    • Moez says:
      (link)

@Moez: Im on a new phone and the auto spelling is killing me, sorry about that but im sure u get what I was putting down

    • James Redacted

      James Redacted says:
      (link)

@Moez: Wade trade is more or less even right now but in the end I think you’re the winner because Wade can play better than he is right now. The Nene trade… Nene is an injury risk as well. If he stays healthy it will work out fine tho.

sorry also last week I traded D’jordan for Calderon in the same league.. If caldy gets traded it might hurt but.. I don’t like betting on anything raptors.

    C. Bosh
    J. Noah
    C. Kaman
    Util: gortat
    Util: k. Leonard

    L. Sanders
    Aminu
    D. Collison
    G. Henderson

Drop any of the above for these waiver guys:
    D. Green
    D. Favors
    J. Calderon
    M. Dunleavy
    Patterson

    Thanks.

    • James Redacted

@Thrilla: I’d drop Aminu for Patterson

    • Eric says:
      (link)

      @Thrilla:

Drop Collison for Calderon, Lowry just got hurt and Collison is no longer starting. Drop Henderson for Danny Green. Green gets starters minutes, more steals blocks and more 3s.

      • James Redacted

        James Redacted says:
        (link)

@Eric: Lowry is day-to-day so I wouldn’t drop Collison for Calderon. Collison has been playing 27, 30, and 32 minutes the past 3 games and I think he’s getting back in Carlisle’s good graces.

I think Green will be better in the short term and Henderson better down the road. He’s still working his way back from injury.

Lowry is now out “indefinitely” :(

Hey James, my Bargs for Lin? I need assists/steals, and Bargs doesn’t do much other than score (he’ll probably end up hurt too). Seems like Lin just needs to get his FG% back up, but Bargs doesn’t exactly help in that cat anyway, lol. Will Lin figure it out?

    • James Redacted

      James Redacted says:

      @Decode: For AST/Stl I would take Lin

        Bench: Monroe, Parsons, Nash

Waiver wire: George Hill, E Turner, Jamal Crawford, B Knight, Asik, Vazquez, Rubio

        Any changes you would make?
        Struggling with FG%, 3PT, Turnovers
Strong in PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, FT%

I entered draft night trying to win FG%, FT%, PTS, REB, AST, STL

The past 4 weeks, I’ve faced the top 4 teams in the league and I’m now 11th place ..
what do you suggest I do with my players? Which CATS should I strengthen, ignore?

    H2H league btw!

          Twelve teams. 9 Cat. I’ve gone 2-7, 3-6, 2-7 the past three weeks ..

            James Redacted says:
            (link)

@jfd8: Well definitely ignore AST. You’ve been hampered by Pau’s terrible play and GWall’s non-playing so your team is better than it has showed thus far. Pietrus should not be owned in a 12 teamer, pick someone better off the wire. Wade may be a good trade candidate when he rattles off some nice games in a row. Keep working at those %’s, STL, and REB. A big that shoots the 3 may be helpful (like Ryan Anderson).

PG – CP3, Dragic, Lowry, Rubio
    SG/SF – George, JRich, MKG
PF/C – Gasol, DMC, BroLo, Vucevic, Asik, Illyasova

Trying to free up a couple slots, do 2 for 1′s etc. Looking to package live Ersan and Asik, and then get a good sg/sf guy in return, especially for 3′s and points.

    Thanks!

    Dear Mr. Redacted,

My team was autodrafted because I was stuck out of the state due to a bitch named Sandy. I’ve had a few injury problems, but the most recent is Mike Dunleavy. My team goes for 3s and steals, so should I wait out Dunleavy or get a new player off FA?

    • James Redacted

            @James Redacted:

I also have Kawhi Leonard, who, according to Yahoo!, “… may miss a few more weeks,” but he’s actually on the Spurs road trip this time.
