Kris Humphries (3/4/0 with 2 blocks) fouled Kevin Garnett (16/10/1) somewhat hard (his flopping made it look worse than it was). Rajon Rondo (6/1/3 with 2 steals) took exception to the contact, and since NBA players are mature, emotionally well-adjusted individuals, a brawl ensued, resulting in the ejection of Humpy and Rondo. Word has it a towel boy was punched in the face as the altercation migrated into the crowd, which surprisingly is frowned upon. Both of these clowns will probably be suspended. Here’s what else happened in that game and elsewhere in the National Basketball Association:
Gerald Wallace – 5/2/3 with 3 steals as he was also ejected after two technicals. Stay classy.
Joe Johnson – Led the tea, with 18 points, 4 rebs and 6 assists. He also went 3 for 6 from downtown.
Meyers Leonard – Grabbed 7 rebounds in 13 1/2 minutes. If only that was how he normally played.
Damian Lillard – He and Nicolas Batum both played heavy minutes and each scored 20 points. Lillard only shot 6-21 from the field (including 4-9 from downtown), plus threw in 2 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals.
Nicolas Batum – As mentioned, Bates had 20 points with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and a block. He also nailed 5 of 10 from behind the arc.
J.J. Hickson – He grabbed 19 rebounds, including 9 offensive, to finish with 15 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block and 5 turnovers.
Nene Hilario – Did not see 20 minutes, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 2, stole 1 and shot for 6 points.
Kevin Seraphin – He probably had the best night on the lowly Wizards, finishing with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and a block.
Bradley Beal – He went 2-6, including a three, and had 5 points, 2 turnovers and nada. That’s usually what happens with rookies, they are not always consistently high with their production (they may be consistently high in their apartments, though).
Maurice Harkless – He started his 4th game and finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds and a steal. Yaaaawn.
E’Twaun Moore – He played 22 minutes for 11 points, 3 rebounds and an assist. He missed 3 from downtown, and the Magic overall shot for 13.3% from behind the arc. However, Moore has been good for 1.4 3PG, 10.9 PPG, 2.9 RBG, and 3.4 APG.
Manu Ginobli – Off the bench, he led his team with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal and 6 threes.
Boris Diaw – He had 7 rebounds and 5 assists, but those numbers are atypical for him.
Ben Gordon – He hit 7 of 10 three pointers and concluded the night with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. 20 of those points came in the 4th. On the year, he is shooting 40% from behind the arc.
Kemba Walker – Missed 4 of 15 from the field but still finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, plus a block for good measure.
Louis Williams – Lou tied for the team high with 17 points. He also had 3 threes (of 8 taken), 5 assists, 2 rebounds and a steal.
Josh Smith – He joined Al Horford with 17 points and 6 assists. However, he had 13 rebounds to Horford’s 11.
Charlie Villanueva – The Pistons destroyed thanks in part to Chuck, who came off the bench for 19 points (4 threes), 5 boards and 4 assists. Since being promoted to back up Power Forward, he is averaging 15.3 PPG and 3.0 3PG. I just raised an eyebrow in his honor.
Rodney Stuckey – For those of you struggling with what to do with Stuckey, he had 18 points (10-11 from FT line), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal and a block.
Marcin Gortat – He had 6 points and 4 rebounds. His PPG and RPG have decreased over the past week. He is still starting, so not a reason to panic…yet.
Luis Scola – Saw about 21 minutes of court time before fouling out, but still produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and an assist.
Jae Crowder – Started, missed 4 three pointers, finished with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, an assist, and a block.
O.J. Mayo – Played 34 1/2 minutes but only produced 4 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block. Thank the condiments god for peripheral stats.
Nate Robinson – Had 14 points (2-2 deep), 2 steals, and 6 assists.
Joakim Noah – He produced what I like to call the Double Double & A Half: 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists. He also threw in 3 blocks, for the holidays.
Kurt Thomas – Started, played less than 4 minutes, missed a shot and grabbed a rebound. He is averaging less minutes as a starter. Okay, cool. I don’t know if the Knicks will ever make sense.
Steve Novak – Played almost 40 minutes and had 19 points, thanks to 5 of 7 shooting from downtown. He also had 4 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist.
Pablo Prigioni – He actually saw decent minutes (28:08, for those who need to know) and had 11 points, 7 assists, 3 boards and a steal. He may be an option in deep leagues while Jason Kidd is sidelined.
Beno Udrih – While three of the team’s starters shot for 2 points combined, Udrih had 18 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist. The Bucks got bucked and some of those points came in garbage time.
Jonas Valanciunas – Not a great game with 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks.
DeMar DeRozan – He hit 16 points, plus 4 rebounds, an assist and a takeaway.
Jose Calderon – This is a sad day for Jose’s fans (me). He didn’t even see 18 minutes and finished with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and most painful of all, 0 assists. Raptors are 3-13 on the year, by the way. Where do they end up in a few years? Little Rock? Lincoln? Puerto Rico?
Zach Randolph – Another Double Double & a Half with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, plus a steal.
Marreese Speights – He had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and a block. This came about because Darrell Arthur was out.
Marvin Williams – He finished the game with 16 points, 3 rebounds, a steal and a concussion.
Jamaal Tinsley – Played 31 minutes as a starter. He missed the one shot he took, but at least had 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds.
Earl Watson – Here’s your weird stat line of the day: 0/0/8.
Ryan Anderson – He continues to quietly produce, this time with 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. It would have looked better if he didn’t miss 5 of 6 three point attempts.
Patrick Patterson – He shot for 27 points, plus added 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. His ownership has climbed to 39% and I believe he is already claimed in every Razzball Commenter League.
Jeremy Lin – Linsanity took the night off despite 41 minutes on the court, shooting 3-7 (missing one three). Nah, he did okay, he still had 8 assists and 4 steals.
Serge Ibaka – He saw 29 1/2 minutes of action and had 23 points (11-13 from the field, 1-1 from downtown), 9 rebounds (5 offensive), and 6 blocks.
Kendrick Perkins – He had 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block. Not bad for 10 minutes of playing time. The problem is, he played nearly 23 minutes.
Ricky Rubio – Cleared for contact, and he may make contact with an NBA game next month. No promises.
Luke Ridnour – He missed his lone three attempt, but he had
3 13 points (third best on the team), 7 assists and a steal. (lousy sticky key on keyboard… – ed.)
Andrei Kirilenko – Did not play due to back spasms. I wonder if anyone has ever missed a game due to groin spasms.
Caron Butler – After hitting 9 three pointers for 33 points on Monday, he shot 1-8 (including 0-3 from deep) for 2 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Matt Barnes – He came off the bench for 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and an assist. His blocks per game are creeping up.
