Let’s All Freak Out About Blowpez Together

New Jersey’s stalwart Brook Lopez looks more like a stalled wart so far this season, and nothing improved in the 18+ minutes he played on Wednesday. After shooting .499 in ’09 from the floor, Lopez is writhing around with a .381 FG%.

When Pace Cars Ride Like Race Cars

The Pacers scored 54 points in the third quarter after going 20-for-21 from the floor. They were 20-for-20 until Josh McRoberts heaved a lazy three with four seconds remaining (why was Doc McRoberts shooting a three? Oy!). I mention McRoberts’ heave because his 2/10/4 line isn’t enough to get him mentioned otherwise.

The Most Disappointing Center? Andrea. Bar None-i

Look, I’m not going to go nuts here and tell you that Andrea Bargnani is terrible or overrated or any other hyperbolic fluff that clearly isn’t true. Bargs can play. He’s averaging 19 points in 32 minutes per NBA game. That’s something even I can’t do, and I’m great at basketball, according to my rec-league teammates.

2010 Fantasy Basketball Strategy, Working The Games Played Count

For those of you in leagues that limit the number of games each position is allowed to play over the course of a season (usually it’s limited to 82 games per position), you’ve no doubt sweated over your games played pace at some point already.

With thousands of fantasy teams floating hither and yon, there’s bound to be one out there that started Bogut, Camby, Jeff Green, Brooks, Nelson, Martin, Carter, Delfino and Harris. To that team I ask, can I interest you in fantasy hockey?

I’m sorry to lead today’s Add/Drop with a player that will neither be added nor dropped in most leagues. Sometimes when one is struck with a chilling thought, one must rattle the cage of protocol from time to time. We all may have grossly overestimated Chris Bosh‘s fantasy value as a member of the Miami Heat.

Toney Douglas – Just when you thought you had a handle on the New York guard situation – KAPLOW – Master Douglas continued the debate. Do not debate Douglas! Give a New York guard 31 minutes on the floor, he’ll have a big night.

New Jersey’s Troy Murphy started not only the first game of the season Wednesday, but also his first as a Net. I know to you and me that sounds like bad news, but apparently he was really looking forward to it.

Five Years Of Isiah But Only Now Are The Knicks Considered Toxic

Asbestos was reportedly raining down from the heavens in Madison Square Garden’s attic and forcing the Magic to miss its second game in a month due to postponement. If that’s not bad jeux-jeux, I don’t know what is. Wait. No, I do.

Minnesota’s Darko Milicic has a 3.6 PER and an ORtg of 58 despite averaging nearly 23 minutes per game to start the season. I honestly didn’t know either of those statistics could get that low. I thought I could walk out onto a pro court wearing a sumo suit and ice skates and earn better than a 3.6 PER.
