In less than 19 minutes off the bench, Wilson Chandler scored 24 points, with 2 boards, 2 steals and a block. This was his best game since January 23, although it is weird that 3 days ago he had 10 rebounds (and 7 points) and yesterday saw a complete 180. I really want him to do a 360, and keep doing it, until he becomes a living tornado that spins up and down the court, grabbing rebounds and scoring points. It’s hard to say what Chandler will do moving forward, as he’s had three weeks to find his sea legs and he doesn’t even work on a boat, but there have been glimmers of hope. Will we see him reach 15/6/2 numbers that he made 2 seasons ago? If I had to say, which I suppose I do since I raised the question, I say he will. It just depends if you want 15/6/2. In shallower leagues, those stats may be littering your waiver wire like plastic bottles along a New Jersey creek.

Metta World Peace – He missed 11 of 12 field goal attempts, including 5 from behind the arc, to finish with 5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. He’s been quiet in the month of February, but that’s only 3 games he’s been in (missed one for a suspension), so I’m hoping he turns it around and improves his paltry shooting percentage.

Earl Clark – No one played more minutes for the Lakers than Clark, and yet he only produced 5 points, 7 rebounds, an assist and 2 blocks. Unlike the Player Formerly Known As Ron Artest (φ), this was Earl’s first bad game of the month, and he still got 2 blocks.

Antawn Jamison – He didn’t start in place of Pau Gasol, and instead played his fewest minutes since January 30, and he earned 11 points (plus a three), 2 rebounds, an assist and a block. I hate the Lakers.

Dwight Howard – The big man came back after about a week’s absence and finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and an assist.

Jeff Green – The Celtics had a deadly night with the Lakers as the victim, and Terry helped Boston reach 116 points by throwing in 19 of his own (1 three), plus 3 rebounds, 1 assist and a block. He’s had doubled digit points in 6 of his last 7 games, FYI. He’s averaging 14 points with a three over the past 2 weeks, and is just 18% owned. If you can’t go a Friday without a BUY recommendation, there you go.

Jason Terry – Terry is not starting, but compare his night (15/4/3) to Avery Bradley‘s (10/5/3) and notice that, in February, Terry is averaging 4 assists per night to Bradley’s 2 and that should hopefully explain which guard to own (which is hopefully neither, but the answer is Terry in deeper leagues).

Joakim Noah – He returned after sitting out 3 games and finished with 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 turnovers. I’m thinking – and this is just a theory – that he will need a game or two to find his rhythm again.

Daequan Cook – He had 19 points off the bench with 4 rebounds and a block, but do not count on him to do that again. I’d have to check the math, but I’m pretty sure he hasn’t had 19 points all season.

Kenneth Faried – Thanks to 9 of 10 shooting, he earned 21 points to pair with 12 rebounds. If you want dessert, he cooked up 2 steals as well. In 4 games, he is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds, plus 1.5 steals. Like last night, he doesn’t always contribute to blocks, but overall he’s been worth owning, and I’m sure you do already, which is why this is not a Buy column and just a “that’ll do, pig, that’ll do” blurb.
