You don’t see everyday in the NBA the sequence that occurred in Orlando, as the Magic hosted the Thunder and Alex Caruso, known for his defensive expertise used any means necessary to stop Tristan Da Silva from making an easy lay up.
In case you did not know, and I certainly did not, the rulling in such cases is goaltending violation and a technical foul against Alex Caruso, and all those just because he put his heart and …sole on that play. Or can we say that he was called for a … shoeting foul ? OK, I will stop with the punts for now and focus on fantasy, as I hope most of you are locked in your playoff matchups and some of you even have already passed a round or two.
Regarding last week’s suggestions, Quentin Grimes had 2 awesome and 2 mediocre games last week but remains must roster with Philadelphia decimated by injuries, while Brice Sensabaugh is on a roll as Utah’s tank lieutenant averaging 27.3 points, 5 triples and 1.3 steals during the last week. The Jazz lost all 3 of those games, so mission accomplished lieutenant. Finally, I had 2 missed predictions last week, with Jalen Smith disappointing in his return form injury and Coby White putting on a scoring clinic in limited minutes so his “Sell” designation was not an accurate one last week.

Bobby Portis: Crazy Eyes is back at it with both Giannis and Myles Turner sidelined and he can be relied upon for a steady influx of points, rebounds and triples, while occasionally tanking your fg% with questionable shot selection and avoiding defense like the plague. What is not to like here and he can be a real difference maker for any teams punting one or multiple of fg%, steals or blocks (37% owned).
Ayo Dosunmu: Anthony Edwards will miss at least the next week so Ayo Dosunmu entered the starting lineup and should remain there for the foreseeable future, further increasing his playing time that was already on the rise. His game is not fantasy friendly but he can offer a little bit of everything and as a bonus the Timberwolves play the Jazz today so his short term outlook is looking really good (27% owned).
Cody Williams: Today is the perfect day to add Jazz players and the most available one should be Cody Williams, who is getting all the playing time he can handle lately, averaging 37 minutes in his last 7 appearances. He does not stand out in any statistical category but opportunity is everything in fantasy and with Utah playing 3 games until Saturday, he makes a great case to occupy one of your streamer spots (17% owned).
Taylor Hendricks: Another schedule play, as the Grizzles also play 3 games until Saturday, Taylor Hendricks can provide solid defensive stats despite playing somewhat limited minutes. There is a risk he sits at either game of the Friday-Saturday back2back but he is ranked top50 in the last 2 weeks so give him a look at least for this week (8% owned).
