Welcome back, Razzball Nation, as we enter the last third of the NBA season and the theoretical home stretch. This is the time of year where head-to-head leagues are in playoff mode or a week away. Roto leagues are entrenched in the percentage categories but there is still wiggle room in the counting stats and, if that is what you are looking for to make a difference, then you are in the right place.

This is a difficult time in the season and, with trade deadlines past or quickly closing in, this may be one of the final weeks you have to make a trade. Moving forward I will still be looking at possible trade candidates for one more week but I will also be looking at the waiver wire pick ups you could use that may also fit your needs. Therefore, here we are friends; with very few arrows remaining in our quiver let us hope we can make this a direct shot.

To the land of Port.

Where they love basketball courts.

Jerami Grant

We are going to waste no time here and get right into what we need to know. Over the course of the season Jerami Grant is the 66th ranked player, however, over the past two weeks, he is the 118th and, over the past week, he is the 126th ranked player.

As I have mentioned in past posts, this is the time of year where you want to try and manipulate rankings to your advantage even though, rankings mean much less during this time of the season. During this time, we have been through the all-star break and Grant missed three games due to concussion protocol. This has put a drag on his ranking and, for the managers in your league who use that rank as gospel, then this is the perfect time for you to make your move.

In his last game, he went for 13 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. This is a very pedestrian line, but it also happens while he watched Dame Dolla go for 71 points on the night, enter caveat. We also have not had much a sample size to see what the increased usage with Simons out does to his fantasy value.

I believe we will see an uptick for Grant across the board and he is poised for a strong finish as the arguably delusional Trail Blazers attempt to push toward the postseason via play-in, if at all.

If you are looking for scoring and threes, then this might be the fit. Be less concerned about what you are trading away during this time of the season and focus on your direct needs if you are secure.

As always, hit me up in the comments section below and leave your thoughts and questions.

Good luck out there,

Peace.
