Tick, tick, tick, tick….

It is about that time fantasy hoops nation, all Razzball real ones and the funky feel ones.

If you have been down with me off the rip then you know the deal and what it is that we are all about over here. If this is, your first time here let me say, welcome.

Identify and multiply, that is the motto.

“How you feel, how you feel, how you feel? 25 sittin’ on 25 mill”.

Ok, ok I got a little sidetracked there with some drizzy lyrics but if I can get you feeling like you sitting on 25 mill in your league then I have done my job.

“Back to the lecture at hand, perfection is perfected so I’ma let em understand”.

“Ain’t nothing but a ……..”

Whoa, let me slow down today and remain focused. We need to get you out of here and on your way but not before I drop a gem on em’.

“Come with me, Hail Mary, Run quick see, what do we have here”.

Clint Capela

The past week has not been friendly to Clint Capela and more specifically for our purposes, his fantasy owners.

The Switzerland native has some holes in his game recently with paltry averages across the board:

34.4% FG, 8.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.

All of those numbers are down significantly from his season averages of 57.7% FG, 14.3 points, 14.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks.

A top 50 player on the season, Capela is ranked at 117 overall during the past seven days and the truth is it will only be a matter of a game or two before he rockets back to the success he has experienced with the Hawks this season.

Sure, Capela only shoots 54.7% from the line but he does not shoot enough (3.2 times per game) to harm you. In addition, we are in the back nine of the season where the scarce counting stats (blocks) are increasingly valuable and could make the difference on your fantasy squad.

Trading for Capela will be somewhat dependent on the structure of your team. If you are in a punt free throw mode then the decision is simple. However, if not then ensure you are not subtracting by adding. Percentages in roto formats need volume to begin making a dent in the standings so even if your free throw is not stellar, a move for Capela and the other positives he brings should do you well.

So, get your offers out there. Most times when a GM is giving up a big, they will be looking for a big in return in some shape or form. Pair up a Mason Plumlee with a low-end guard/ forward if you can’t get the deal straight up.

Get out there, snag Clint for your team and make Swiss cheese out of the competition while you sing A Capela all the way to the ship.

Hit me up in the comments for your reactions and questions.

Peace.
