Ugh…

So any readers out there grow up in that emo scene or get into any of that stuff at the turn of the century?  I was all about the band Thursday’s CD Full Collapse, and man, listening back to it now is ridiculous!  Even in high school I could make fun of the music that was going on then, talking about how emo bands had a crier.  But Paris in Flames legit sounds like there’s some dude in the corner cry-yelling!  Hey, it beats the Slipnkot dude who’s one job is to bang the trashcan lid…

Where to start with the cryfest?  I think we gotta go with Russell Westbrook, and well, hold a seance for all Thunder fans right now.  Sustained a fracture in his hand last night, and will likely miss about a month.  We’ll know more by later today, but I think OKC should change their uniforms to the Bubble Boy outfits.  Look where that movie took Jake Gyllenhaall!  Kinda hard not to think about picking up Sebastian Telfair, but he’s still behind the Donald Sloan-types.  Shooting up with some medium-term value is Reggie Jackson if his ankle heals up.  I’d look to see if he was dropped in your league, as now he’s a dynamite hold until healthy, as long as it’s not another month for him as well… We still don’t really have a clear picture, so I think Telfair can make a couple starts.

Then the other biggie… My Panthers… I was actually at the game, and man, the amount of angst and frustration in the stands really could’ve been an emo wah-party.  Pop quiz, who had more TOs – Cam or the main Cav?!  Well, it was the main Cav, but we’ll start there and then get into everything else that went down last night in fantasy hoops:

LeBron James 8 turnovers as the Cavs lost to a team that had about the worst opening night in the NBA.  The Knicks were destroyed by the Bulls Wednesday, but hey, give NY some cred, they had to play back-to-back against the two East favorites and won one of them.  BronBron was unlikely to fall on any of my teams given my Kevin Durant persistence and Anthony Davis love, but even a horrible 5-15 shooting night with only 17 points in 43 minutes, there’s really no change to his value.  I did hear on the radio it was the first time in his career he had 8 TO with under 20 points or 5 assists…  Antsy in his pantsy!

Kyrie Irving – Uncle Drew played pretty well, but 43 minutes too?!  Blatt is running his guys into the ground!  22/5/7/2/1 in a near rainbow.  Even though assists per-36 aren’t great, good to see him rack up 7 even when LeBron is launching labradoodles out there.

Kevin Love Solid.  19/14/4/0/0 with three treys.  Kindasorta vintage Love… But sorta not – I don’t expect Anderson Varejao and LeBron to grab only 9 boards in 70 combined minutes very often…

Dion Waiters – 10/1/2 with 3 TO in 38 minutes.  Why I was anti-Waiters like Mr. Pink.  “What you mean you don’t tip?!”

Carmelo Anthony – Two rebounds?!  TWO?!  A big knock for Melo for me was I didn’t believe his career high 8.1 boards from last year, and through 2 he’s at 3.0 a game.  Triangle offense means rebounds disappear like the Bermuda Triangle!

Samuel Dalembert – The Bench Sensation!  Yeah, it doesn’t rhyme, but it’s topical!  Played only 5 and a half minutes last night.  Yeah… I’ll admit it… I streamed him in a league hoping to boost blocks… Sigh…

Quincy Acy – Reggie Evans 2.0!  8/10 as the starting PF in 22 minutes whilst fouling out.  Wait, how did the Knicks win this game?!?!?!

Jose Calderon So from probable last night for the opener, to out 2-3 weeks with a tender calf.  Mi tacos son tender calf!  He’s a pretty hairy dude though, I dunno if I would ever eat tacos from a Calderon’s Food Truck.  I’m holding in virtually all leagues, the Knicks really need him.

John Wall Awesome bounce back.  30/5/12 with aggression, knocking down 8-9 FT and hitting two treys.  His brother, John Wick, told Wall to tell reporters, “Yeah, I’m thinkin’ I’m back!”

Otto Porter – Nice to see the steals (3), but not good to see the fouls (5) in low minutes (18).  I think in even in deeper leagues (say, 16er) Porter is a drop (95% confidence).

Nene – If he wasn’t so injury-prone, would be so underrated.  Nothing jumps out, but 12/4/5/3/0 with no TO in his return form a one game suspension.  2-4 FT is really his only knock when healthy.  I bet Nene is out there in way too many leagues.

Nikola Vucevic 23/12/3/1/0 and as soon as I said after his 4-block debut if he could get to 2 BPG he’d be a beast, he doesn’t register a single swat.  Well, the average is right at 2.0 now!

Ben Gordon – After looking atrocious on Tuesday, a very empty/ThrAGNOFfy 22 points with 2 treys last night.  Don’t trust this Gordon’s fisherman…

Elfird Payton – Yeah, this is more of the bumpy ride we should expect.  2/3/7 with 6 TOs and 2-4 FT.  But this was against John Wall who is a great defender, so I’m still in buy low mode to get Elfrid on my Shelfrid.  Tis about that season!

Kyle O’Quinn Sat out with a bum ankle.  I mean, he’s Irish, give the man some Jameson and let him out there!

KCP – Whoa, minutes alert!  41:29 last night?!  Man, crazysauce.  11/6/2/2/0 with a trey isn’t going ruffle your tailfeather, but just the one TO and he’s a steals guy.  Those minutes though… Sucks he missed both FT shots, but it’s time to really start trying to get KCP as a throw in on a group deal.

Brandon Jennings – Even though this was an emo day, still a ridiculous start of the year for my calls.  Look at Mr. By-Far-The-Lowest right there in the red!  Shocked I was the only expert to have him out of the top 100.  I saw this coming with low playing time with D.J. Augustin cutting into PT more than people would expect… But I can’t lie, didn’t think it would be to this extent this early! In the battle for the better abbreviated PG, BJ for 4/2/6 in 15:30 minutes and DJ for 20/3/6 in 32:30.  Using my abacus, I can deduce that’s a total of 48 minutes split only between those two.  So the odds are forever not in BJ’s favor (same for Peeta, I mean, dude got stabbed, give him some lovin’ J-Law!).

Caron Butler – 24 points off the bench.  Remember when Butler put up 38 in a game last year?  I bet 98% of you don’t, which is all you need to know.

Josh Smith – Well with Butler hot, Smoove was rough.  5-16 FG, AND STILL SHOOTING MOTHER F THREES!  HOW IS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN!  Sorry, All Caps police, it felt warranted.  0-2 from downtown, now 0-5 on the year.  10/7/4/0/2 with 3 TO is fine, but I was hoping for a big game here as he would become the ultimate sell-high with Greg Monroe back for the next Pistons game.

Gorgui Dieng Eh, nothing too saucy but 4/5 with two blocks in only 17 minutes.  And the Wolves played Nikola Pekovic 31 minutes, those LIARS!  Caps lock got hit by mistake that time, I swear…  Pek for 17/10/0/0/0 with 3 TO.  I dunno, I’m taking Gorgui’s blocks…

Kevin Martin – Returned, but off the bench…  Flip Saunders said he was healthy, but I dunno, I think he’s going to be eased in from his preseason injuries and up those minutes from the 20 we saw last night.  Still holding as Andrew Wiggins and Corey Brewer didn’t do much as starters.

Chandler Parsons – Bounced back a little for 21/7/2.  Pretty boy matchup of the year with him vs. Gordon Hayward… Well, maybe against Kyle Korver too.  Get these three guys together to start a boy band already!

Jameer Nelson – I know, I know, I know…  Only 21 minutes as the starter for 5/1/5 hitting a trey.  Sucks to see J.J. Barea already getting 19 minutes, but unsurprisingly the Mavs blew out the Jazz, so this felt sorta like an extended preseason game.  I’m giving Nelson a little more leash, but it’s certainly shorter than it was preseason.

Al-Farouq Aminu Same extended preseason thing.  No starter played over 30 minutes for Dallas.  16/10/1/1/0 shooting 6-7 in only 19:30.  Nah, not buying it.

J.J. Redick Ewwww, smelled it up like Pepe Le Pew.  5/0/0/0/0 on an atrocious 1-10 shooting.  Duke players starting cold this year!  Luol Deng, Mason Plumlee… I don’t think there’s any other Duke players in the NBA… Shavlik Randolph!  I keed of course…  Let’s get Brian Zoubek a tryout for the Sixers! Hahaha, I have to copy and paste this from Zoubek’s Wikipeida: “After working with a technology start-up for year, Zoubek decided to follow his own dreams and open his own bakery, named Dream Puffz, which specializes in cream puffs. Dream Puffz opened in Haddonfield, New Jersey on July 30, 2012. However, Zoubek shut down Dream Puffz on February 16, 2013 to pursue real estate opportunities. Zoubek said he is in negotiations to sell the rights to the Dream Puffz name.”  Wow, that Duke education sure paid off!  Sounds like he got about the same education as a Chapel Hill athlete.

Spencer Hawes – Meh.  Don’t like seeing only 19 minutes.  4/4/1/0/1 and missed all three deep shots.  The Thunder let DeAndre Jordan play 35 minutes and didn’t make him attempt a single FT…  Still going to hold onto Hawes in most leagues.

Perry Jones – Way to bury the big game from last night!  Well, I wanted to bookend all things Thunder.  32/7/3/0/1 taking over a big offensive role after Westbrook broke his hand.  Shot 10-17, played 42 minutes, yeah I think he’s worth an add for the short-term.  But as I mentioned in the open, don’t forget about RJax and Jeremy Lamb is still looming if he can get his back worked out.

Guess the Kobe Bryant Stat Line – Battle for Los Angeles tonight!  I think I’m going conservative.  21/2/4.  Get your guesses in below, and we’ll crown the winner on Monday!

Have a great weekend everyone, be sure to try and stream to pad those stats Saturday and Sunday, and I’ll see you next Monday morning!

So drop my jimmy butler for Reggie?? Apart from stls, surely reg will be putting up better numbers no?

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@jb Gilpin: ugh forget it, he’s already gone. Peeps like Sloan, Stuckey, Oladipo, MKG and Ed Davis still available. I really need butler to show me something on his return. Really hoping he’ll at least board well as that’s something I’ll need from him. Don’t see myself dropping the newly acquired Asik.. Is it reasonable to see him posting a dub dub with great offensive boards and like 1.5 blks? No one wants my PGs 🙁 I even tried trading millsap for al jef and dude laughed it off like there was such a huge discrepancy between the two. My goodness!!

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Lasandro: Haha sorry man. I think you hold Butler, might play tonight. Those number are definitely doable for Asik, looked good. Hmmmm, direct him to Razzball where I have Millsap ranked higher!

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: That poop stain aint worthy of your site! Don’t fret, plenty of other peeps in Oz and Nam I’ve directed you guys to 🙂

Well, Just been offered Lowry for Stephenson (by the fella who laughed off my mentioning Ibaka and his DMC in the same sentence re: a trade)? Given his debut, do you see his numbers change a lil from what y’all have him projected as? Or is Kemba a hold here? Reminder of my squad in the 8-teamer 14 cat:

        Lawson
        Rubio
        Lowry
        MCW *
        Kemba
        Butler
        KD *
        Giannis
        Ibaka
        Millsap
        Kieff
        Gortat
        Asik

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Lasandro: Haha well, we’ll take anyone!

Waot, you got offered Stephenson for only your Lowry? Now it’s time to laugh at him, no way. Kinda a flukey game and Stephenson shot like poo.

        • Lasandro says:
          (link)

          @JB Gilpin: Ha, indeed!

P Jones, Taj, T Jones, J Johnson now in FA pool, to join Oladipo. Any of these worth a flier and for whom? Giannis is still not starting over Fudley, which concerns me. He needs to hit th 30min mark damnit! And Butler still not playing 🙁

          • Lasandro says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: Sloan available too and boy am I loving his outta position brds. Worth a look in my shallow league? I just fear that Giannis aint gonna do me many favours in this league of 8 teams, and Im in serious need of some buckets. Particularly with my elite PGs either being injured or just not scoring at all. Of course, it’s only week 1..

          • Lasandro says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: You mention R Jax’s return as well as Lamb’s, but do you see Perry’s overall value over the next few weeks being higher than that of Giannis’? He’s really starting to look like the man to drop in a shallow league and it hurts me to type it.. my fingers be tearing up all over the keyboard

            • Lasandro says:
              (link)

@jb Gilpin: or should I grab giannis’ mate OJ? He’s looking ridiculously good! To be clear, I’m essentially looking for a 15/5/3 kinda guy if possible

              • JB Gilpin

                JB Gilpin says:
                (link)

@Lasandro: First – no Mayo! Hold the Mayo! Just has been hot.

Giannis – Ugh, yeah in an 8 teamer, I think you can move on. Perry, no no no, not worth an add with those guys out there.

Terrence Jones is the easy add for me, surprised he’s out there!

              • Lasandro says:
                (link)

@JB Gilpin: noted thanks man! Also, is dragic a buy low candidate? His outputs been a little Slovenian Basketball League, rather than NBA. And is Knight someone I should target in a Kemba trade? Def looking to add an extra SG eligible player and he and dragic look to be my targets. And what’s your take on Thad? Even once Kmart is fully healthy, shouldn’t he technically still get 17/7 and stats in this offense? All these three players belong to one manager in my L and I’m looking to offer Kemba and someone to land 2 of them perhaps

                • JB Gilpin

                  JB Gilpin says:
                  (link)

@Lasandro: Haha, Dragic/Slovenian slam! Yeah I’d take Dragic straight up for Kemba.

Yeah I think Thad will be the offesnive focal point still. KMart should be starting soon though, Brewer/inconsistent Wiggins is not enough offense from your 2/3.

                • Lasandro says:
                  (link)

@jb Gilpin: dragic is really looking I appealing next to Bledsoe – dude hardly gets the ball. Still should try for a kemba trade? Was thinking if trading kemba and Kieff for dragic and Thad..

                    (link)

@Lasandro: I’m still down for that deal, I think Dragic comes around. I’m floating buy low offers too

    • jcg says:

What up JB! Competitive 12 team h2h. Thinking long term for this year.

Which 2 would you want? Elfrid, J Hill, Teletovic, Copeland

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:

@jcg: What’s good my man?! Long term I def want Elfrid and Hill.

@Dirk’s Digglers: or Larkin (I currently have Calderon)?

      • dscottncc says:
        (link)

@Dirk’s Digglers: Dont drop Calderon for Larkin…. Calderon gonna be huge when he comes back, wait it out. Larkin has had a nice couple of games, but wait till he sees some bumps in the road

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Dirk’s Digglers: Ummm, yeah I think I would for Telfair for the short term. CJ is so good, just needs minutes, but Matthews and Lillard stay healthy.

@Dirk’s Digglers: You cant go wrong with Michael Scott…oh wait you said Mike Scott

    14er, daily h2h, 50 seasonal moves, PG/SG/SF/PF/C/Util/Util/Util/4 BN

    Mike Conley Mem – PG
    Brandon Knight Mil – PG,SG
    Terrence Jones Hou – SF,PF
    Anthony Davis NO – PF,C
    Al Horford Atl – PF,C
    Ricky Rubio Min – PG
    Jared Sullinger Bos – PF,C
    Jrue Holiday NO – PG

    Evan Fournier Orl – SG
    Gorgui Dieng Min – C
    Terrence Ross Tor – SG,SF
    Draymond Green GS – SF

Happy with the balance, but weak on boards due to Dray/Dieng’s bench PT. Would love to package Dray/Dieng+Fournier for a big and pick up DJA but unlikely to pull it off. I need a ThreAGNOF big replacing Fournier or I still lack of assists?

Also, any knowledge on which teams play more on light-schedule days? or which site?

    Thanks for the advices!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@masterquintero: This site! Tomorrow Seth has his week ahead forecaster. so that will help for the week ahead, and who is playing on off days, etc

Totally good moving that for a better big, but I like Draymond and Dieng more than most so I wouldn’t undersell. With Rubio and how Knight looked in the opener, I think dimes are good 🙂

  4. Clyde Prompto says:

@Clyde Prompto: Nice! The Taste of Ink! Haha, they never were my fav, but in the same milieu. I wanted to put wrist slitting in somewhere, but didn’t wanna go FULL emo haha

    JB!!….whats up….

What do you think about B Lopez in general?….I have other PG options and need a C….Rubio for Lopez?

    • guidedbyvoices says:

      @guidedbyvoices: btw….its 10 tm keeper h2h

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@guidedbyvoices: Nah, I’m def holding Rubio. Lopez is so so scary. I’d go for like… Favors?

    • Steve Stevenson says:
      (link)

@guidedbyvoices: He’s a ticking time bomb any time he’s on the court, and is already dealing with foot issues again this year. Like the way he’s improved his game, but doubt he gives you 40 starts. Rubio better overall, and gives you some nice category juice. You might be able to jump into the Gortat range with Rubio.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Steve Stevenson: As much as I wanna say he definitely will make more than 40 starts, as soon as I wrote I’d bet he does I thought to myself, “I wouldn’t bet any money!” Haha, tough to buy into Brolo indeed..

  6. Connor says:
    (link)

JB! People have been dropping players in my league for no apparent reason. Was able to get Elfrid Payton and yesterday Brook Lopez. Last night someone dropped Terrence Jones, should I pick him up and who should I drop out. 10 team H2H

PG- Lillard, Jrue Holiday, Calderon, MCW, IT2, Elfrid Payton
    SG- James Harden
    SF- Giannis
    PF- Ryan Anderson
C- Al Horford, Vucevic, Gortat, Brook Lopez

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Connor: Hahaha first sentence made me laugh. Wow, I mean Payton and BroLo make sense, but TJones?! Definitely getting him. Dropping… Ya know I think Calderon while hurt, so many good PG and in a shallower league I think you’ll be fine adding another PG if you really needed to

      • Connor says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Latest to be dropped was Thaddeus Young.. I have no idea what these people are doing. I ended up dropping Payton for TJones, drop Lopez for Thad? I am just too infatuated with the potential in the triangle to drop Calderon. Thanks as always man!

        • Connor says:
          (link)

@Connor: Just saw that update for Lopez, dropping him for sure. I’ll give Kobe a line of 30/5/5 in the battle for LA

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Connor: Haha wow man… Yeah I’d def get Thad for Brolo. That’s a saucy line for that battle I like it!

@JeF With 1 F: Ugh, yeah Jets are a tougher franchise to like. At least the Jets didn’t have much upside, when the Panthers we knew would be bad, it was OK. We should be so much better with this talent. Haha that guy rips it!

Loving KCP’s minutes but he’s tanking my FG%. Should I drop him because of that?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@fields: Nah, I mean for a shooter to go 5-13 like last game isn’t that bad, it was just the first one. FG% is gonna fluctuate for shooters, I think he’ll be fine

    Jrue, Knight
    Monta, Alphabet
    Hayward, TJones, Durant*
    Ibaka, Kieff
    Gortat, Mozgov

Should I drop anyone for PJ3?

    Thanks!

    • Steve Stevenson says:
      (link)

      @J: Mozgov

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@J: Hmmm, @Steve Stevenson: I dunno about losing Mozgov with OREB/DREB two stats. I’m holding, I don’t think Perry Jones scores even 15-16 a game while Westbrook and Durant are out

  11. Sully's Tap says:
    (link)

I have Steve Hawes as the last big man on my roster. I really need need 3PM and scoring since I have Ibaka, Dieng, LSanders, Pau, JHill, TJones and Draymond for blocks. Would you drop Hawes for Teletovic or P.Jones for the long term?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Sully’s Tap: Yeah you def don’t need bigs, Teletovic would be my add. Jones maybe for the short term, but yeah long term, Telet

  12. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

What do you think Lamb’s line looks like when he returns? He, Telfair and Roberson are the only intriguing Thunder pieces available in my league (Jones went for $69/200 FAAB last night).

Weekly H2H pts, big bonus for dbl-dbls, and otherwise peripheral stats are valuable–pts and % not a big deal, but 3PTM are nice. Start 4G, 4F, 2C and a Util. I’m good at C, and usually start one at Util. My 4th G is either Gordon or Danny Green. Till Durant returns, my 4th F is either Iggy or Teletovic. I have one free roster spot, more if I drop one of the above.

Which of these guys are you prioritizing in FAAB?
G – Larkin, Lamb, Telfair, Mo Williams, Nelson, Shved
    F – C. Butler, Papanikolau, Aminu

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: Whewwwwww, that was kinda a bit extreme for Jones! Lamb… So tough to project because we still don’t know when his back will heal up, so we don’t know how many games he’ll get sans Durant/Westbrook and if he beats Jackson back. I know it’s not looking great right now, but I’m still taking Nelson first with FAAB. Nelson, Lamb, Dr. Pap would be my top 3 for long term

  13. booya says:

    14 Team H2H
10 CAT (with Off and def Rebs)

    IT, DJ, Westbrook*
    Dragic, Pope, Oladipo*
    TJones, Draymond
    Faried, Kieff
    Bosh, Ed Davis, Hawes

Injury bug biting me a bit.

    Would you lose Hawes for:
Marvin Williams, Henson, KJ, Marcus Morris, Middleton, Adams, Gobert

    Thanks!

      JB Gilpin says:

@J2: I think I’m still holding Hawes over all those guys. Henson has fallen below, Adams is the closest. Actually with REB the two stats, gimme Adams now

  15. Merlin says:

would you hold on to Gobert or Ed Davis?

      @Merlin: I’m taking Davis now

is demarre caroll worth owning in a 14 man? I’m thinking of dropping hawes or mason plumlee. roberson and telfair seem interesing too. jr smith is on waivers, and fournier is still available. What to do?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@hamtime: I like Carroll, I think he’s a good player, but is so the odd man out with the starters… I would hold Hawes and Plum. Telfair would only be very short term as Reggie Jackson “should” be back soon. Fournier… Nah, and same with Roberson. I’m holding.

I was just offered Love and Lillard for Harden and Bosh? Thoughts?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Charlie: Nah I’m rejecting or countering that. Harden is by far the best asset, and the difference between Bosh and Lillard in a vacuum is very very slight, not nearly worth the gap between Love and Harden

Heres the team post Klay trade…I took Rubio for him:

    Rubio
    Teague
    T.Parker
    Afflalo
    Gallinari
    Aldridge
    Ibaka
    D.Jordan
    Favors
    R.Anderson
    J. Valanciunas
    Bench:
    T.Ross
    T.Hardaway
    Dalembert
    Mayo
    M.Morris
    MKG
    W.Chandler

Heres the deal…I was offered Brandon Knight for J.Valanciunas…based on my team i like knight in this deal Im pretty high on him like you are….you agree?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@JeF With 1 F: Nice, shoring up that PG position!

Yup, totally taking Knight for JVal, I would’ve even before the season and kinda surprised he’d offer that now. Makes your team dirty! I’d bet my Dunder Mifflin shares you’re gonna get to the championship

What type of leash would you have on Nelson if Payton and KCP on on the wire?

    • Steve Stevenson says:
      (link)

@Boom Shakalaka: None. Make a move.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Boom Shakalaka: Yeah, while I like Nelson I had Payton ranked higher, I’d grab Payton for assists, KCP if you needed points/3s.

10 Team Head to Head Points League – should I drop Mason Plumlee for MKG or Perry Jones?

    • Filkarri says:
      (link)

@Filkarri: Or perhaps drop Jameer Nelson?

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Filkarri: I think in a points I would get MKG long term, Perry jones short term. 10 team, the wire is probably pretty decent with options, I’d take the gamble on Jones then move on when he slows down.

  21. Jake Vz says:

So I’m in a pretty big pickle right now. Here’s my roster
    PG Conely
    SG J Butler
    SF Parker
    PF Millsap
    C Jefferson
    G Collison
    F Sullinger
    UTIL Drummond
    UTIL Hill
    UTIL Noel
    BN Gallinari
    BN P Jones
    BN Stauskus
    IR Westbrook
    IR Durant

My PG position is really hurting now after Westbrook went down. What do you think of my team and what can I do to improve it?

    Thanks

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jake Vz: Ugh, oh man, both the Thunder! Tough start man, I feel awful for Thunder fans. Let’s see, rebounds and blocks look to be strengths. More the boards. I know it sucks to give up one of your better assets, but I think you can sell Big Al. Try for a big name PG like Big Al + something for Wall. Or if a team is needing bigs, Big Al for Gordan Dragic+another PG. I think without Big Al you’d be fine in blocks/boards.

      • Jake Vz says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I also just made the trade Kemba, Boozer, Asik, and Burks for Jabari, Drummond, Sully, and Stauskas. Do you like this? This was before westbrooks injury

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Jake Vz: love it! Even as not a big Drummond guy, I think he’s the best in the deal. Jabari is awesome too, I don’t get how you swung that one awesome move!

PJones and Telfair are (obviously) sitting on waivers. There are also players like Augustin, DHarris, EDavis, Mo Williams, Larkin, and Papanik hanging around who are already getting big minutes. Any moves to make?

    My team right now:
G – Rondo, Bledsoe, Wroten, Sloan, KevMart
F – *Durant, Wes Matthews, Tobias, MKG, Boozer
    C – Boogie, Drummond, Hawes

    Thanks!

      @kisses: 12-team H2H 10 cat (fg%, ft%, 3pm, reb, ast, stl, blk, to, dd, pts)

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@kisses: A lot of interesting options… I think the only move I’d make right now is dropping Boozer for Ed Davis. I don’t think Jones or Telfair have long term value, while Davis probably will. Upside of dubdubs too

  23. Tears…Fun first week of hoops for my squad.

Oladipo breaks his face, return 4 weeks
Westbrook breaks his hand, return 4-6 wks
Julius Randle breaks leg, return 10/2015
MCW has “broken” shoulder, return unknown

Yes, own(ed) all 4. F me. Ill be starting Fournier, Telfair (until he gets layered) at G for next 3-4 weeks. Baseball prep just around the corner!
