I suppose there comes a time when a man has to lead off a fantasy recap with P.J. TuckerWho? He nearly led his team in minutes and did produce a team high 17 points. Yes, but who? He added 5 rebounds and 3 sipes. Yes, but who? Two of his 17 points came from three point shots. WHO?? I don’t know who! Doctor Who, haha! Oh, shut up. Anyway, this is Tucker’s 4th game with at least 24 minutes, but those other three games produced 0, 10 and 7 points, respectively. With Michael Beasley not playing at all, this is giving Tucker some time to shine, I guess. Also, the Suns are horrible. I would not poke his corpse with a yard stick just yet, but now we’re all on the same page to keep an eye on him. Let’s dig into some other performances, shall we?

Nick Collison – If you need some rebounding help in deep leagues, every few days he is capable of a minimal double double performance. For example, last night, he tallied 10 points and 8 boards.

DeMar DeRozan – He had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal as he cooled off a little bit.

Alan Anderson – Over 33 minutes on the floor, A.A. produced a team (and career) high 27 points (4-8 from downtown), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Due to injuries, Anderson can see some playing time, but he is a poor career FG shooter.

Nene – The former Hilario played 22 minutes as a starter, only took 6 shots and hit a mere 1. On the night, he rebounded 6 times and finished with 5 points. That comes after 2 games of double digit point production. This game should only be considered a hiccup.

Kevin Seraphin – He led the Wizards with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. In 6 of his past 9 performances, he has reached 10+ points. He’s also had at least 1 block in 6 straight games. Unfortunately, the rebounds are not forthcoming. Seraphin is destined to headline fantasy basketball chatter for the rest of the season.

Udonis Haslem – Only 2 points but 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. If you grabbed him as a Sunday streamer in H2H leagues, good call. Now cast him back to the waiver wire.

Tyrus Thomas – Took 14 shots, but only hit 4, finishing with 13 points neverthless due to free throws. Free throws are just bonus coins, it’s nice to see there are still NBA players who can make those. He also threw in 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

Bismack Biyombo – Grabbed a thunderous 17 rebounds (7 offensive) while throwing in 10 points. He’s not usually good for prolific production, but he’s had at least 7 rebounds in all but 4 games since November 26.

Tayshaun Prince – He had a team leading 21 points, plus 7 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a block. Unfortunately, it’s just the third time this season he’s reached 20 points. He sits atop a throne of broken promises.

Andre Drummond – He earned 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks. It looks like his brief surge of 10/10 nights is slowly decreasing. The blocks are still there, though.

Rudy Gay – Another gay night for Rudy with 20 points, but he only grabbed 3 rebounds. He’s had 3 or fewer in the past 6 games, which even for him is bad. He also threw in a steal. You have to wonder why it is so hard for him to rebound, or why it takes 3 or 4 differenct actions to finally exit Skype.

Andre Miller – Quietly earned a double double in nearly 24 minutes: 12 points (1 three), 3 rebounds, 10 assists. That’s 10+ points and 7+ assists per game over the past 2 weeks, for those keeping score (probably most of you, this being about fantasy sports and all).

Dwight Howard – He grabbed 26 rebounds, more than half of his team’s total (the next closest teammate grabbed 5). He also shot for 14 points, stole 1 and blocked 4.

Steve Nash – Despite an iffy shooting performance (3-8, 1-3 from downtown for 10 points), he did dish out 13 dimes while ading 3 rebounds, a steal, 1 block and, well, 5 turnovers.

What are your thoughts on Byron Mullens when he comes back?

@Jack Canton: He’s worth owning in most leagues when healthy, points, rebounds, some threes. I’m not sure I’d waste the roster spot stashing him outside of deeper leagues because there is no specific time table for his return.
