Fantasy playoff time is just a mere few days away. Whether it’s playing for that final playoff spot, playoff positioning or just like me in one of my leagues—playing spoiler, the next few days could end up being very pivotal. I will not show the opponent ranking grid for this article as it hasn’t really changed much for the last few weeks. If you’ve been reading the posts here, it’s basically a big fantasy opportunity to face teams like the LAL and BKN. If you’re looking for PG stats, ATL, DEN and CHA are teams to target. PHO, PHI and ORL are the teams to face if you’re looking for big man stats although you’d have to be specific as to which big man stat you’re looking for for each of those teams’ opponent.
So let’s get straight to it…
-If somehow Yogi Ferrell is floating around your wire, DAL has a good match up vs BKN on Fri. AND then face PHO on Sat. Just be aware that J.J. Barea could be making a return and while I don’t think he plays enough minutes to disrupt Yogi, I can’t read Rick Carlisle’s mind.
–Cory Joseph will face ATL on Fri but then face a tougher (and a HOT) MIA team the following day.
–Rajon Rondo vs HOU on Friday and then BOS on Sunday if desperate for some assists.
–Tyler Ulis could be hurt so keep an eye out, but if he’s good to go, PHO plays DAL on Sat. But an easier POR PG matchup the following day.
POR vs WAS on Sat. and PHO on Sun. Allen Crabbe and Moe Harkless could be decent adds depending on which cats you’re looking for. Thragnof type?- Go for Crabbe. Looking for defensive cats?–Go for Moe.
PHI vs LAC and LAL on a Sat./Sun B2B. Justin Anderson and Nik Stauskus are potential pickups for some scoring, rebounding (Anderson) and 3s/stls (Sauce Castillo). If expecting a blowout vs LAC, expect Anderson to play a decent amount of minutes.
NYK – Courtney Lee vs BKN on Sunday if looking for some scoring and 3s.
Good luck to everyone! Hopefully some of these ideas help your cause!
