Hey Son! What’s your take on Delon? I picked him up in 18T points, but have again been unable to resist window shopping, with Burks on the wire. Also, I’ve done this thing where I drop someone for an IL-eligible player when I’ve got someone returning, so if Cam Johnson would be returning, would you drop Delon (or that spot) for stashing any of Isaac/Lonzo/Poku/Rubio/Payton II? Question marks all round, but I’m guessing Lonzo and Poku are probably leaning towards a no.
The way I view points leagues is that you can be more liberal with adds and drops, even in deep leagues because there are no categorical shackles. I don’t think it’s necessary to stash any of the players that you listed.
Good point! As for the whole stashing thing, I’ve looked at it as possibly being just another player your rivals can’t roster if whomever I pick up turns out to be solid. Might be needless energy devoted to a Macchiavellian approach, though
Makes sense. Blocking is definitely a strategy. Mutombo would be proud.
If we’re talking points, meaning just accumulating stats is good, how does Bones compare to Delon in your opinion? He hasn’t obviously had anything close to the season some hoped, but the man can chuck.
I usually side with the Bones-type players. More usage and higher upside
Happy new year!
Bones vs Oladipo, though? Same-ish?
Happy new year!
Ambivalent
Fair, I’ll just keep tabs on ’em. Would I be laughed out of the market if I offer Olynyk and Bones for Ben Simmons? The random trade ideas just won’t shut up.
Whether you’d be laughed at is irrelevant. Does the offer make sense for that squad?
It almost could, but both of us seem to have more than our share of PF/C types, and I’m guessing he picked Ben too early to be willing to part ways with him that easily. In this league, I’m always on the hunt for multi-position guys to make things easier on match-heavy days
I hear ya. I think you’ve answered your own question
Some interesting names hit the wire in our 12 teamer. Olynyk, Kessler, Avdija, Schroder, Vanderbilt, P Williams. I am definitely looking longer term as I build toward the playoffs so a couple young guys caught my eye here. I am in 4th place within three games of first place despite a crazy patch of injuries. With this team, what moves would you makes?
Embiid, Jokic, Portis
PJ Washington, Wiggins, Ingram
O’Neale, Middleton, Hayward, N Powell
McCollum, Holiday, Suggs, Maxey
I’d sit tight
Thanks! I was leaning toward Kessler and dropping Royce but was not sure.
That works. I’m good with either
