(Just FYI, All of these players are hovering around the 50 mark in the overall rankings so far.)

These are your finalists for RazzWired player of the first half! Pretty sure I got the HTML code right for the poll, but if it doesn’t work for some reason, just comment your vote below, and I’ll add em up for next week!

A few first half honorable mentions:

(Ish and Omri didn’t make the vote because of their shorter length of relevance.)

This was a rather quiet week for waiver adds, so I’ll just give a small preview for the second half.

Obviously, Myles Turner has to make the list of up and comers for the second half.  The last couple games, he’s really had a breakthrough, and barring injuries, he could be a top 75 play in the second half.  He’s currently forcing his way into playing time, and with his skill-set, the only thing stopping him is health.  The minutes may not get over 30, but the production should still be there.

A few other guys that could have some second half breakout potential:

Feel free to post your second half breakout predictions!  I’ll feature a couple in next week’s edition!

Have an awesome week everybody!  Looking forward to the votes!

    Where’s Jae Crowder??

@theo156: His drafted percentage was too high to qualify as a pickup in 12ers. Definitely a great breakout though.

between taj gibson and myles turner, who do you like both short term and ros?

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@rhirano: Personally I’d lean Turner for both… Taj has a much higher floor, but Turner has much higher upside. It really depends on whether you’re a gambler or not. Turner should be better short term while Mahimi is out, but the future is a bit murkier after that. I’d go Turner for the blocks though.

Razzup! Is myles turner worth my no.1 waiver priority in a 14 team, 9cat league?

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@hisXLNZ: I’d say so, waiver priority just doesn’t mean that much in basketball. In a 14 I’d do what it takes to have him on my team. Kid looks like a superstar.

    Kaminsky or Schroder?
    Deron or Monta?

    16er 9cat h2h
    Thanks!

@Tyler: Kaminsky, depends what stats you want though.

Probably Monta, just based on Deron’s injury risk. Fairly equal though. Love those deep leagues!

how bout Marvin Williams? constantly putting 6th round value all year long. that has to somewhat count

    • Adam

@GGH: He’s in the vote my man! Marvin hasn’t gotten enough credit. Just isn’t a flashy enough name. Same goes for Bazemore.

    hey

do you think sullinger is droppable in shallow leagues?
lots of okish talent on the wire….marcus morris, Mason Plumlee, tony parker etc etc

    • Adam

      Adam says:
      (link)

@sliimbo: He’s borderline, but I wouldn’t drop for any of those… Maybe Parker, but he’s out a while, and he’s likely to be rested.

D wade or Montae in a 9 cat league who would you rather have?

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@Johnny Boy: I’d go Wade. The Heat really need to him to play if they want to make the playoffs. If you’re too scared of the injuries, then go Monta, but for value, I’d take Wade.

Hey, Adam! Who do you like the most ros: Bazemore, Harrison Barnes or Covington? Thanks!

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@Jerry: Bazemore, Covington, then Barnes. All fairly close, but definitely Baze the most.

Also, Duncan just got dropped in my league. Should I pick up him and let Barnes go? Thanks again!

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@Jerry: Actually, I think I’d hold… Duncan is going to be rested and have his minutes too limited. Especially down the stretch.

Would you drop Barton, wade, Lou Williams, Dieng, or ish Smith for Myles Turner?

    • Adam

      Adam says:

@Scott Weeks: I’d definitely consider dropping Dieng… His minutes have fallen off lately. Fairly close though. I like the upside with Turner better.

Also, I guess it’s important to know that it is a 10 team head to head 9cat league. Thanks Adam.
