The whole crew is back for a second straight week!  I join Brent, Craig, and Son for a conversation hitting a wide variety of topics.  Among the focal points are Son’s Top 25 rankings (check those out here), some players that we expect to be underrated or undervalued in fantasy for this coming season, and recent news around the NBA.  All of that and more on the latest edition of the Razzball Basketball Podcast!

    Great pod guys. Personally I’m a big believer in Malik Monk and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do next year, particularly after Kemba gets traded. That 32 team dynasty sounds phenomenal as well!!

      @Irish: Thanks Irish! Craig love Malik Monk (I think we all love his potential). A Kemba trade would be crazy

      @Irish:

      Appreciate the kind words.

      I’m fully with you with Monk. Really is a great talent that makes up for the lack of size with the athleticism. I think people are sleeping on Monk much more than they should be. Once the muscles continue to come things can only get better

    I think it was @storytelling41 who talked about improving FT%age but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on Westbrook’s FT drop last year. Much has been said about the new rule of not being able to walk beyond the 3 pt line in between ft (Russ’ routine) affecting it.

    One off FT stat last year or sub 80% here to stay?

      @jgw:

      The point I was trying to make with free throw percentage is that even with statistical improvement it is not a category I hold stock in when it comes to projecting a positive progression. Of course each case should be taken individually, as naturally some poor free throw shooters have better shootibg form than the numbers suggest, but as a generalisation I tend to project stabilisation as opposed to positive projection

        @Craig Bozic: I got that part and I agree with you.

        What if it’s the other way around, in the case of Westbrook’s FT %age regression. One year doesn’t make a trend but do you or anyone think it’s the beginning of a trend or something that he will be able to correct and get closer to career avgs for the upcoming season?

          @jgw: I

          For me I’d look closer to career averages to that of a season outlier.

          @jgw: Definitely go by the career average when someone has that many years on the league.
